A bit late on my review, but I had B & H replace the cam bearings and hone the cylinders for my LS build. They gave me a great quote--significantly lower than a larger, well-known shop--and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. They're definitely a no-BS shop, but they know what they're doing. I'd gladly use them again. read more

Just got off the phone. Was polite and I guess my tone was misunderstood and told "go be a jerk to someone else" and hung up on. I needed a battery replaced, asked if they deal with my warranty company. Was told "yes but do they cover batteries" to which I replied "I believe so". Then was told to be a jerk somewhere else and hung up on. I called back because I wasn't sure if I came across wrong but wanted to clear the air since my warranty says it covers "new batteries up to $135". Sorry for my ignorance. Then I was given an attitude again, and hung up on again. If you're a new customer I'd highly suggest you go somewhere else. They probably take care of their regulars but if you're not versed on mechanical ins n outs you might want to avoid this high n mighty attitude of this place. read more

This is going to be unusual to write a review BEFORE I`ve received my vehicle back from the shop. This is my story. I have taken my vehicle to 3 other auto shops in this area, I always get this, "Well, due to the mileage on the vehicle, there shouldn`t be any issues."Excuse me, I work from home, I don`t drive it much, but I have the right to have a perfectly running vehicle when need to go somewhere. OR "If it isn`t broken, don`t fix it." This is my favorite,"You don`t drive it as much, there`s no reason for checking it often ". I`ve had so many people recommend these places and this is what I get!? THEY CALL THEMSELVES MECHANICS!?!? Guess my money wasn`t good enough for you. B & H will take it. I don`t know if B and H can find and repair anything, but I`have tears of happiness, only because they listened to me. They didn`t make me feel like I was just a typical stupid person and I didn`t know what I was talking about. EVERY driver should be listening to their car and have it checked out if they hear something weird. I wouldn`t care if they don`t find anything wrong and wouldn`t care if they sent it back not fixed (I actually do, because I do need a vehicle, BADLY, driving a short distance gives me a tiny respite). I`m just so proud to have this place take their time (even though I have cabin fever 10 x`s over, a sick family member has had me home bound since last November,I need to get out of here). I`ve been a pest to them and they have been nothing but the sweetest people, and thus the reason for me venting grudges against these other so called mechanics of Apache Junction. I discovered this gem of an auto mechanic's shop about 5 years ago. They are 35 minutes from my house, but it's worth the drive. They never over charge. When other shops try to scare me with potential problems, these guys stick to what's wrong and go the extra mile to get me the best deal on my vehicles. If I could give a negative I would!! No wonder guy has a ton of cars outside! I brought a vehicle there they said needed bushings, oil leaks and they changed 1 spark plug.. charged over $100 for it. First of all bushings were good, they never took vehicle out for test drive to say check engine light on and transmission fluid low vehicle wasn't shifting properly. Wanted to charge $2k. Do not take your vehicle there unless you want to get ripped off!! read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE,Left my car there for a week then called and he said they lost my info. Kept askjng for estimate for the next week and theses idiots kept sending me the wrong one. Finally went to get my truck after two tow fees and he stole the bolts out of my transmissikn pan drained my fluid and drkve my truck with no fluid,thats not including anything else he did. When things go wrong they seem to have bad customer service. My wife is the owner of our vehicle so I would have her reach out and make a repair appointment. As I also worked most days and didn't have time my self to make the calls. We took our van to his location off meridian and Apache Trail, in Apache Junction. A few times. And our last time there was a few months ago. We had an A/C issue and some other stuff also oil change I believe. Well he had a very inexperienced mechanic work on our vehicle. Put our rear ac in backward causing ac electrical issues. Our front ac would turn on and off. The rear ac sounded like it was on but was just blowing back into the system. I was called when repairs were done and told I would need motor mounts. I said ok not an issue when I get the money I'll come back. That evening when we decided to pick up the car. I jumped in turn on the van and it felt like I was in a monsoon the van was rumbling like crazy. I instantly turned off the car proceeded inside to let them know there was something wrong with the van, and that it felt like it was about to blow up. I believe his lead mechanic, then took my keys, jumped inside the van, pulled it into the yard and realized that the inexperienced mechanic didn't attach all of the spark plug wires, which made it feel like it needed new motor mounts. Which ended up fixing that problem of needing motor mounts. Also fixing the motor sounding like it was about to blow up. But our AC was still in need of repair and we didn't know at the time because it seemed like it was working properly. The front AC then turned off that evening when we went to Fry's, which was only about an hour to two hours. This was also our third day there this week at his shop. Remember, this was a couple months ago so it was summertime and it was hot as hell even in the evening time. The next morning I had my wife call and I guess they got into a little bickering match and Howard gets a little snippy when customers get attitude with him and eventually told my wife that she was not a customer and only I was and that I needed to call Just to make the repairs from now on. I then got into a texting match with this grown a$$ man. Wondering why he would treat my wife like that. He then proceeded to tell me that I had communication issues with my wife. I know firsthand when I walk into that place. They don't ask enough questions. They have no communication whatsoever. They just hand you something and that's it when they're done they don't tell you anything they don't walk you through what they did they don't do anything. I'm not a mechanic I don't know what I'm doing. That's why I take my cars to you. Sorry for this part it was a rant. About my experience there. Also when I took my car somewhere else and I told them the story they asked if he could guess the place I was talking about. I said go ahead. With no hesitation, they said B&H auto repair. There's more but I can't remember everything bc it was a few months ago. But I remember the big parts that made me question everything. I know my wife can be a pain in the butt. But that doesn't mean treat her as nothing bc we are a team and that means she does her part too. Also I had a hard time getting my car kind of repaired bc after I was here it was not the same. Just to use his warranty I would need to travel 25 miles away bc of his crap service and attitude. So then we went to our bank to refute the services, because nothing was actually done correctly, so why would I pay for something that wasn't done correctly the first time which then had me take it to another mechanic and pay more money to have it all done somewhat better. Then to get a text message from this man telling us good luck on getting your money back because he has good lawyers and the 25 mile warranty. Ha ha. Also way he records his conversations. With the help of the other mechanic, we had to refute the complaint a couple of times with our bank, but we ended up getting our money back and not having to go to court. There's also more. I know after I send this one star review I'll be attacked but I'm not scared of someone that just has a big mouth. And will never own up to the mistake his company made. And also if you don't get the clue I would never reply to someone that would do such a thing. Like calling me over and over and texting me over and over just to try and argue. read more

I took my car in to have some major repairs done. I was given a total cost, to the penny, and then more was added on at the last minute. When I went to pick up my car, I told the customer service girl that they should have written total ESTIMATE, instead of total cost. I said that it was ok with me, but someone else might really have a problem with higher cost on a total due. I also asked her a question, and The owner jumped in with "Oh my God", and snidely answered my question. He later texted me and told me that he didn't need my help with customer service, he'll continue to run his very successful shop. I did not care for the way he treated me, and how he made me feel, and made almost $800.00 off of me. No one should be rewarded for horrible customer service, and, to top it off, there are negative signs all over the office, designed to shut you up and not ask questions. When the mechanic took my car for a drive, he noticed that I needed a new clutch. If he had told me right then and there, I would have had them do that too, making them another $600.00 or so. I feel that he didn't say anything because, by my coming back a second time it would have been way more. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! THEY HONESTLY DO GOOD WORK, BUT SO DO MILLIONS OF OTHERS IN TOWN, AND THEY WON'T TREAT YOU LIKE CRAP!!! Tebut: Reading all the bad reviews that are not shown, I see that the owner is nasty and rude, but a sweetheart for the good ones. Always has an answer that suits him. My gas tank was just above the red, which means, and he knows, that it has at least 35 miles or more before it runs out. Think about this...What mechanic that replaces a fuel tank complains that the tank was empty when the vehicle was brought in? I expect another comment from him, as all narcissists do, so I guarantee the drama will continue. He's lying like crazy, and does it so often, he's prolly not even aware of it. Went In because my car had been acting up I knew it was transmission related , I was beside myself thinking the worst I literally cried when I was trying to tell him what was going on with my vehicle single mom so car repairs are always stressful , he (Howard) was so kind and patient never made me feel stupid totally put my mind at ease promptly went out to diagnose was going on with my car even though they had a lot going On that day already . I was not happy with the service I got here. First they ordered the wrong part, but they did pay the difference in part cost, to be fair. Howard yelled at me on the phone about this. I should have gone and picked up the vehicle at that point. Then the parts were "off market" so they didn't fit quite right. The handles don't close all the way unless you push them in from the outside. Also, now the locks are screwed up when I use the clicker or inside unlock. Have to check all the doors and manually lock RF door. I should have paid the extra to have my car dealer do it. I was treated rudely and didn't appreciate it. Would not recommend to anyone. When I went to check out, Howard pretended he didn't remember I prepaid for parts, and tried to charge the full amount. His other staff were great, Howard is the problem, verbally abusive. read more

Please see update at the end. Terrible service. Incredibly rude people. I made an appointment as per their recommendations and had the car on their lot before the appointed time. Some guy ran a diagnosis thing and said they'd get back with me with results and estimate. When I didn't get a call, I called them and was treated to a chewing out for not making an appointment, which in fact I had. I got half an apology and a promise that he'd call back in an hour. I gave him two hours, but when I called for an update I got even more rude service, "Howard" interrupted me constantly, and then he hung up on me! When I called back, "Blaine" was even worse and just told me to come pick up the car. The place is a mess, junk cars everywhere. I don't know who writes their 5-star reviews but I wouldn't take a Radio Flyer little red wagon to these jerks. Update: Owner "Howard" has now sent me a very nasty text message to my phone. This is not appropriate customer service at all. He claims he recorded my phone call(s), which I don't think is legal without notification before the recording is done, so maybe he's bluffing.
