so just a quick update on the original review, I had to take this sorry ass excuse for a business owner to small claims court because he never repaired my car but kept charging me more and more money, our court date was yesterday however we didn't get a hearing because he's not man enough to stand up for himself he needs a lawyer, so now it will go to civil court which is fine with me, I don't need a lawyer I have plenty of facts to show a judge And plenty of time to show up in court whenever I need to, if he thinks a lawyer can win him a lot of money I hope he's right, he just won't be getting any of it from me, and just an FYI with all the name-calling foul text messages and Facebook posts he has been sending me as an obvious intimidation tactic NO GO, I obviously have more grit than you do Howie. B&H Auto does not know air conditioning. They replaced the wrong part. After my last experience with the owner flipping out on me and verbally abusing me; My air, you guessed it, 2 weeks after B&H supposedly repaired it, my air conditioning stopped working again. Go figure. So I took it to the dealership and found out they replaced the wrong part. Do I get a refund? Then, I told the dealership what the owner did to me at B&H, they were not surprised. Shady bunch over there they said. I'm trying to not let this experience keep me from continuing to support my local businesses. B&H not only took advantage of me, the owner verbally abused me for questioning their service in a private conversation with my out of state mechanic. Keep listening in on your customers private phone calls while your under the hood Rufus. FYI, I'm allowed to question the services I pay for after giving you 3 tries to do the job. I wrote a review on YP but the owner had it deleted...don't be fooled by the shining 5 star ratings on Yellow Pages. All the negative ones get deleted by the owner Howard. I inquired concerning the repairs of my automobile when it broke down in this beautiful area of Arizona. The owner took one look at me, and racially profiled me. I felt very uncomfortable, especially when he made the comment of "how many bodies do you want to fit in your trunk?" This man was extremely unprofessional and while I honestly hate to damage a local business in such a wonderful area, I cannot allow this injustice to stand. He is a disgusting individual that should be prosecuted to the highest degree of the law. My biggest wish in life is that I could have a case of sudden amnesia and forget this sorry excuse for a human being, Howard Hinkle. If I could leave less than one star I would, I believe he is an antisemite, as he made multiple comments regarding the Star of David that hung around my neck. I was recommended by several past customers to use B & H Auto when my A.C went out. I originally spoke with Howard when inquiring, and he was very nice & helpful. I brought my vehicle in thinking all I needed was a freon charge, and Mike serviced it. Turns out it actually the A.C compressor that needed to be fixed. They found a used A.C Compressor that fit my budget, and once it came in Mike serviced and installed it for me. I brought it in at 2pm and it was ready to go by 5pm. They were prompt and knowledgeable and very reasonably priced, but I have to say the best part is working directly with Mike and Howard, as well as their front desk Lucy. Top notch customer service, top notch work on the vehicle and great prices. I've had a lot of work done over 10 yrs on vehicles (I have crap luck with cars), and by far B & H has been the best experience I've had. I give 5 stars, but I'd give more if I could. I tow a 16k pound 5th wheel. Took my Chevy 3500 to a shop in Yuma to check out prior to a haul to Flagstaff. My mistake. They found a leak in brake system and "fixed it twice and supposedly the damage done went 1st repair went south. We got to Gold Canyon with only some Smokey brakes but next day truck would not get out of low gears. Luckily BandH was around the corner so took it to them to see what they could do. The owner not only had the truck repaired but was also an advocate for me with the Yuma shop, the warranty company, and the parts supplier whose part supposedly malfunctioned both times. We did get reimbursed for the original part by the parts company (thanks to BandH). Alas, the warranty company refused to bring me back to parity after all of this. I highly recommend BandH for repairs and will make a special trip (180 miles each way) to have them inspect my truck prior to my next long haul. read more

Avoid this shop. Worst I've ever encountered. Paid over $400 for a repair, and still had same problem after. Took vehicle to another shop the following day and only paid $90 to fix original problem. B&H has lots of positive reviews, which is the only reason I went there. But, be aware there are companies in the business of writing fake positive reviews, and after my experience with these guys, I'd say that is probably true in this case. Since I began posting my reviews of B&H, the owner has been sending strange text messages to me on a daily basis. Oh, and make sure you drive by and look before you make an appointment. You will find some walls, with blue tarps for a roof, and the place looks like a junk yard on steroids. read more

I have used B&H the entire time they've been at their current location. They do excellent work and have worked on all of my cars. They keep track of guarantees too and once replaced a defective starter at no cost. They are reasonable on the cost of repair and often do not charge for looking at your car and giving estimates. The work they do has been excellent and the cost has been reasonable. They are off the main street, so you gain by having top caliber mechanics working on your car for a fair price often lower than you might expect to pay elsewhere. They are always answering questions and advising customers on their best options for quality repairs and maintenance of their cars. read more

Honest. Thorough. A man of his word! Can you find someone cheaper? Sure. You will be hard pressed to find someone more honest. Integrity. Asshole? Maybe, depends on your perspective! I took my truck here to get my head gasket replaced. At first I was I very confident in their abilities and knowledge. Howard and his team were very reassuring that it's a simple job. After holding my truck hostage for 2 weeks, they insisted that I they would not return my vehicle unless I did a break job and changed the cabin filter. Howard was extremely disrespectful and insulted my wife about her disability. After many days they finally returned my vehicle after I paid almost 2000 dollars above the agreed price. I drive 35 minutes just to get my car repaired at b & h... they are THAT great! They do a superb job and state the honest truth when it comes to any repairs that are needed. I appreciate an affordable, professional and trusting auto shop like them. They know what they are doing & get the job done in a timely manner. They even let me drive their lender car which was something I really appreciated, especially since they needed my car for a couple of days! I was referred here by family and I seriously have a hard time giving the owner even a one rating. My wife and I showed up to drop the vehicle off to be serviced the next day. I got out of our car to ask him where to park, I am hearing impairs. The owner went off on me about where my wife was parked at (in the front of parking lot) He is a very rude person and has very poor customer service. Let me just say that, Howard save me about 6000.00+ on my wife's Magnum. I took it to AAMCO in east Mesa. They said that I need a whole new engine, so I got a 2nd opinion from B and H Auto Repair and Howard called me, told me I didn't need a new engine. He explained to me what they did, what they looked at and the test they did. From the beginning, Howard was honest with me, and I appreciate that. If you are brave enough to go in and meet Howard and his Son. Definitely recommend. My car was making clunking noises on rough terrain. Three mechanics I took it to, including the dealer, could not find the trouble. B & H did. They took the trouble to take the car to rough terrain and determined that it was a malfunctioning stabilizer arm which they fixed at reasonable cost. I am glad I took it to them. Even if the shop if full, don't hesitate to go inside and check with them to see when they can work on your car.
