I've taken My Truck for repairs a couple of times and I've been very pleased with the service & timely service

Came here for a quote to switch the headlight bulbs on our truck after a lackluster experience at O'Reilly's down the street (the worker there wasn't much help and actually removed a cover piece from the engine area and gave up trying to put it back, leaving the truck worse than he found it). I met with Logan for a quote immediately after calling Friendly Auto, who was incredibly professional and kind enough to spend a minute putting the cover piece back in for me since I couldn't reach it. Logan gave me a quote, saying the timing could take anywhere from half hour to an hour due to different pieces needing to be removed to access the bulb area. We scheduled an appointment for the following day to get the bulbs replaced. The next day, Eric (manager) helped me get situated. With the service ending up being under a half hour of labor, he ended up reducing the cost of the service due to it being quicker than expected (which was honorable). You don't always see that kind of honesty in the auto service nowadays and it was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back here and we're pleased with the service provided! read more

Well, 8 months after having the fuel pump replaced here, it failed. After watching YouTube videos, I realized that it is common for new fuel pumps to fail. Steve honored his guarantee fully. They also found my fuel pressure regulator was acting irregular. I paid for the replacement. Courtesy car for a week at no charge. I really am confident with their lifetime guarantee. I'm that girl that knows next to nothing about cars so I've been thrilled to find Friendly Auto! I've been a customer for over a year and have a van and a sedan that they service. We mostly do maintenance but the staff is ALWAYS friendly, helpful and professional. They even let me ask all the dumb questions, without pointing out how silly they might be. I feel they have high integrity (which is tough to find at a auto shop) and honest recommendations. They send a text that shows everything they did and they even called the next week to ensure I'm happy and taken care of. Seriously, these guys are awesome! I've bought used vehicles and have had them do vehicle inspections and repairs. i personally feel that they are fair with prices and get my vehicles completed in a timely manner. I even had a part that went bad and they replaced that part with no money out of my pocket for parts or labor. Customer Beware!! Unfortunately Steve sold this repair shop and the new owner's way of doing business is very different. No longer an honest shop. Watch for extreme over charging so get quotes from other shops. Especially watch for bait and switch pricing. Had a vehicle in for repair and approved and signed work order for $1200 and was presented with a $2100 bill upon pickup! No attempt was made to contact me for approval of higher amount and no explanation was given. I paid the $1200 and left NEVER to return. read more

I made an appt to get an oil change and figure out what was causing an unfamiliar noise on my vehicle. Logan was extremely helpful with finding the issue, not pressuring me to fix it that day & being transparent about pricing. I've always been hesitant about going to get my car worked on because I don't know enough about cars. Let start by saying, this is one of the very few places that I deal with that tell you the truth! I have been dealing with Steve since before he opened his own shop, Friendly Auto. My wife brought our 2014 Ford Escape in for an oil change. During the inspection, it was noted that we needed brakes, front and back. We said do it, and they finished by the end of the day. No need to bring it back or leaving it overnight. read more

I always go to FAC for my oil changes. Their prices are good and customer service is above average. They always follow up after service to make sure you are satisfied. I wanted to have this as my go to place, and for a simple oil change sure, they live up to their name. However, if you want anything more, be questionable. Maybe it was bad luck for me but I went in for a simple brake and rotor change and this service snowballed to having transmission problems, $2700 later only finding out that my "new" brakes squeaked worse than before. The owner, Steve reached out personally and got things fixed but all this run around made such a bad taste in my mouth. Needed a tire patched same-day before picking up my wife at the airport. Despite being early, Friendly Auto Centers squeezed me in and had the patch done before I could finish my breakfast. They kept my truck for two weeks due to incompetence and a complete lack of moral character!!! I brought my truck in for work on Monday. They said that it will be a few days and then they will call me to pick it up. Friday I go to the shop to get stuff from my truck for the weekend. The head guy said oh it was done the day you dropped it off. I asked why he didn't call me. He says that I blocked his phone call. It's not locked out. Their phone system isn't working and I have to call them so they can get their phone to call me back. I pay and out the door. I drive home and park. Don't drive till Tuesday 5 miles in repair fails. Get back to the shop. Shop said it's replacement part failure. Talked to a mechanic and he said that they had phone problems last week. They say will get part and let me know when it's done. Wednesday evening they call, have the part and it will be done Friday Friday? Didn't they get it done the same day last time? Thursday morning I go to the shop. My truck is sitting in the lot.i go into the office and ask about my truck. The head guy says he's going to ask someone about it. He comes back and tells me it will be ready by 5:00 o'clock Friday. And that how it's going to be. He said he's mad that I don't believe him that he couldn't call because I blocked his phone call. The head guy keeps me from having my truck for two weeks for two reasons #1 STUPID unable to operate their own phone #2 COMPLETE JERK who will intentionally keeps my car because he's mad he got caught lying. read more

Once again I called friendly, talked to Tucker, and with very little initial notice, was able to set up a drop of, repair, and recover on just a few minutes. I have used friendly auto exclusively, since my mom told me about friendly a couple years ago.. For a variety of automotive"emergencies". My entire family uses then for all our automotive repairs needs. My daughter was down from Canada and had friendly repair her vehicle, after she had been enduring the necessary repair for some time.. And for a much lower price than she was expecting. ALL of the employees lived up to their company name, Friendly!!! I just had my first work done at Friendly's Auto Centers after they were recommended to me. Their staff was great, and I appreciated that they had a separate lounge area with cold water, popcorn, a TV, and comfortable chairs. I brought my laptop and was able to work comfortably while waiting for my oil change. As I recently passed 200k miles, I asked them to check out the systems to see if there are any issues and maintenance items that I needed to take care of. I expected a laundry list (like most places would do), but they came back with 3 items and suggested the order in which I should get them done - to be budget friendly. The items were reasonable and priced fairly. Even though my truck is older, I feel they gave me an honest recommendation, at fair prices, with a true understanding of the urgency/order for work. I will be going to Friendly Auto Centers for now on! read more

I have used Friendly Auto Centers for many years because of a few reasons. 1. They don't talk down to me as a woman. 2. They are responsible with their schedule and I'm always told if they need more time for an unexpected reason. 3. When I see them for routine maintenance or to diagnose an issue, I don't walk away with 3 pages of optional items to take care of for thousands of extra dollars. I originally found this shop when I was working nearby in Mesa. I drive 30 min to have my vehicles serviced here because they take such good care of me. I highly recommend. read more

Unfortunately, I will never be returning to this auto center. One of the employees, Eric (also goes by Tucker) Racine left me a voicemail on my phone stating, "I find great solace in knowing you paid $1,600 for a break job" and subsequently laughed, and then hung up. This all stemmed from a situation unrelated to Friendly Auto Centers, but because he decided to bring the two situations together, I had to notify his employer of the situation. After a comment like that, I had to worry about the integrity of my vehicle, and the financial burden I may have placed myself and my family in. I had been going to Friendly Auto Centers for years, so this came as an absolute shock to me. I was told he would be reprimanded and potentially relieved of his duties, none of which occurred. It was all said in order to remove my reviews. I have received more than 9 attempts of negative reviews from Eric (aka Tucker) and his multiple account on my own business before and after this incident. This business prides itself on ethics, but I am deeply concerned that this is not the case, based on the interaction I had with this employee. In my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to others. There are other great mechanic shops in the area, and I recommend that you give them a call instead. read more

The glass mirror fell off on my GX470 's driver-side while driving (very disconcerting but the wires to the heating element kept it from totally detaching) so I called Friendly Auto & they got me in the next day. They re-attached it & it's still adjustable but better yet I'm not blind on the left! I also got my oil change while it was in there and in about 4 hours the car was back in my driveway. Fast & dependable as always and at what I consider a fair price. We've been with Friendly's for over 7 years and never have had a bad experience nor do I anticipate one in the future. read more

Wife's car was left in for repair for the day. Within hours the job was done and ready for pick up. When came for in for pick up we found and issue that was not resolved. Talked to Steve the owner and immediately he had the the issue resolved that day. They know how to keep their customers even if a few things were not communicated correctly. Wanted to give 5 stars but as wife says there is "no excuse" for foot print on new carpet pad. Anyway at least they owned up and took care off it right away..... Thanks again guys! I had a oil change on my F150. I had a appointment I got there on time. They got my truck back there really quick. No problem with that. The only thing is I have a really dirty and stopped up air filter that they noticed and didn't bother to tell me about it. I was sad about that because now I have to go buy one and do it myself. My cabin filter is dirty too. But I could've lived with that a little loner. Other than that these people were really nice. I would go here again if I didn't live out of state. Just let customers know when a filter needs changed that would help a lot. I still give them a 5 star review! read more

I could not believe that I haven't used this shop before. The staff and the service are to be commended. I had a tire with a hole in it. The tire was less than 2 months old and the dealer refused to repair or replace it on a 2022 vehicle. On my way home I came across this shop and stopped in to ask if it could be repaired.
