Was looking for a specific engine for my car. Came in and had help from a guy named Gerardo super very helpful 10/10

SCAM ARTISTS. EXTREMELY DISHONEST EXPERIENCE. We purchased an engine from this company in good faith after confirming by phone that we were purchasing the engine shown in their listing with approximately 45,000 miles. That is NOT the engine we received. The engine delivered to us was visibly different from the engine pictured and represented to us during the sale. When we contacted them, the conversation only made the situation worse. In my opinion, what occurred was a bait-and-switch: we agreed to purchase one engine based on the listing and phone confirmation, and a different engine was delivered. We then performed a compression test on the engine we received. The results, which I have included in the attached photos, raised serious concerns about the condition of the engine and whether it was consistent with what had been represented to us. I contacted the company within the same week and asked for a replacement engine or to exchange it for what we had actually purchased. Instead of resolving the issue, I was told that their "warranty policy" requires us to INSTALL the questionable engine into a vehicle before they can submit a warranty claim through their third-party warranty provider. Think about that. They want a repair shop to spend the labor and take the risk of installing an engine that has already produced concerning test results just so they can attempt to process a warranty claim. I specifically asked them to provide the written warranty policy requiring this. I was told it was simply "their policy." This is not how a reputable company should handle a customer who immediately reports receiving a product that appears different from what was represented and has documented concerns about its condition. I have recordings of our phone conversations that document what was discussed. Out of respect for the business owner, who still has not contacted me personally, I am not posting links to those recordings at this time. I am posting this review so other repair shops and consumers can make an informed decision before purchasing an engine from this company. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with them. I am also reporting this transaction to Car-Part.com and providing documentation regarding the engine we were sold, the engine we actually received, the test results, and the warranty representations made to us. If the company continues refusing to provide an appropriate resolution, I intend to pursue the matter in Small Claims Court and present the documentation there. A reasonable solution would have been simple: stand behind what was represented, take back the questionable engine, and provide the engine we actually agreed to purchase. Instead, we have spent our time chasing a resolution for a problem that should never have happened in the first place. Repair shops: document everything before buying from this company. read more

Scammer Alert! I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I purchased a Prius hybrid battery for $850, but after checking it, I found that the battery was already failing. I went back the very next day to exchange it for another one, but they told me they had no replacements in stock. Instead of giving me a full $850 store credit, they charged a $255 restocking fee and only gave me $595 in credit. I don't understand why I should lose money for receiving a defective part, especially when they were unable to provide a working replacement the next day. Called them to buy a part that was listed on Car-part, which i was willing to pick up asap and was put on hold 8 times! I'd stear clear of this place. They claim they offer a warranty, but if you ask quations about what the warranty actually covers they get rude and hostile so I wouldn't trust the to honor it. Better to buy from a spot that is open about their warranty and happy to ask questions, especially if you're spending a couple grand on an engine. read more

I was given this phone number by a different dismantler, I called looking specifically for a 2013 Prius V Abs actuator they stated they have it, send me a picture through text. I showed up to buy it, I asked again if it was for a Prius V he said Yes, then asked how much was it for the regular Prius as I purchase a lot of these. He said "they are the same" that was my first clue... the price was higher than the dealers price smh ‍, I proceeded to install and and sure it enough it fixed my code for accumulator leak but now had new codes , codes that only come up and won't clear from it being the wrong part one from a non Prius V, I called back and texted back they gave me the runaround finally they said to return for store credit no other Prius v parts available... wanted my time my labor and money. Fraud. Dishonest. Scam. I purchase a used transmission on Friday Aug 5, I was told the transmission had 85k miles. On Monday aug 9 when I had the transmission installed the mechanic explained to me the transmission had 140k miles. (It was hooked up to a reader and revealed the correct vin and mileage) Mechanic states i was given a fraudulent vin number when i purchased. I called the shop this afternoon (aug 9) asking to return the transmission. I was told I would have to pay a restocking fee. Why should I have to pay a restocking fee on a "mistake" (OBVIOUS SCAM) they did to me! THE RESTOCKING FEE IS 499.80 by the way. I drove all the way to Gardena on a Friday from riverside with gas at $6 a gallon, because THEY TOLD ME it had 85k miles, & they wouldn't even offer any type of credit. 100% complete scam. I just want what i paid for, a used transmission that has 85k not 140k miles and not pay a stocking fee. I added pictures to show discrepancies on vins. Also they stole from a 20year old who works full time and goes to college full time. Life lesson people will steal from you. Do yourself a favor. Called for steering gear they said they had it I went to pick it up and it was the wrong car they told me they don't have the car and they are buying one to take that part off for me and I would be able to get it next day.
