He already had good reviews on Yelp so that helped me make my decision to come here and I must say, his reviews are well deserved. When you pull into the driveway, you see a lot of custom cars so I wasn't sure if Hex worked on "regular" vehicles -- but he does. The fact that he does custom work told me right off the bat the this guy knows his stuff (welding, bending pipe, etc.). Hex is a personable guy and he told me straight up what I should do as well as my options. I really appreciated the fact that he didn't try to push me into doing whatever would make him the most money. The work was completed quickly and for a very fair price. I was leaving work one evening in my Ford Explorer, and somehow my SUV was sounding like a motorcycle. I learned I had a catalytic converter stolen, and called a few places for quotes. Hector answered all my questions over the phone, and encouraged me to come in for a quote. I did, and Hector quoted me a fair price for the work, and did an excellent job of replacing the stolen catalytic converter with an aftermarket one. He replaced the upstream o2 sensor as well, and helped me to troubleshoot a check engine light problem. He encouraged me to source the remaining parts so he could install them at a low rate. Hex Mufflers is the best! I needed some work on my exhaust so I made a quick search on Yelp and I found Hex. I called Hector and explained what was happening with my vehicle. He asked me to bring it in and he'd check it out. I visited him while on lunch. He connected the code scanner to my car and explained to me the problem in great detail. Needless to say he was very professional and simple in his explanation. I do have to note that his appearance is a little misleading, he's actually a very nice, professional, trustworthy and respectful person. He gave me a very competitive rate and even replace my upper and lower stream sensors at no charge! He advised me to buy the sensors myself to help me save some money.
