First let me say that I'm a discerning buyer. I have scoured the Internet looking for places to buy a used vehicle for my son. I had a friend recommend B and J's automotive to me and I thought I would give them a chance-it's odd that my first real job was at B&J's burgers in San Dimas. First, I have to say that there was no pressure that you would normally find in small lots or even large dealerships. The cars are priced well; it appears that the B&J owners make sure that their employees are honest and care about the people coming through the doors. I worked in professional sales for 10 plus years before I became a professor. I can tell when people are genuine and when they're not, and these people are genuine. I was looking for a car to meet my son's needs, and I found a nice 2013 Toyota Corolla. It was in very good shape for being that old. Yes, you're going to find little scrapes here and there and possibly little minor defects but unless you go back in time and bring that car with you, you're not going to find something as clean as this one. This is an honest dealership. There are no hidden markups, no added tinted windows or security devices that you see in many other dealerships. Many dealerships will offer a price that seems enticing, however they have many add-ons like an upgraded stereo, upgraded wheels, upgraded tinted windows, upgraded sound system, upgraded security system and so on. NOT HERE. There is only one person that you need to ask for and that is Brian Ponce. He is the quintessential salesperson, and I'm 61 and I know salespeople that are good because he listens and he doesn't try to talk over you and tries to oversell. When you go there ask for him if you do not, you'll be doing yourself a disservice this is not to say that the other employees are poor workers, because I didn't meet them, but my experience with him was so intense that I can't imagine doing business with anybody else. It is a small dealership and usually I don't even go to these places. Again, because I was recommended by a friend, I did so. The car's outstanding I already had my mechanic check it out and of course there are a few minor things to do to it but nothing major the engine was great, the brakes are great the transmission's great the interior is great and again you can't expect everything to be perfect because it's thirteen years old. I am not a professional Yelper; I'm a normal person who tells it the way it is. Make an appointment with him and be on time and he respects that. I respect that someone values my time and is ready for me. I know there's a lot of unscrupulous people out there, but this place is not one of them. I'm going to send you a picture and you can see me in the picture. I'm a teacher, I don't have a lot of money to spend, and I believe in value and honesty, and this is where you'll find it. I hope you have an opportunity to speak with Brian and find a car that you like but to be honest I mean you have taxes and fees on top of everything you see and that's not the salesperson's fault, that's the state of California's fault. No matter where you go, you're still going to have to pay those same taxes so why not go to a place that will treat you justly, and with respect. read more

I bought a car here in March and even bought a warranty through them that cost almost 2,000 extra. Within the same week, I had issues with it sputtering and check engine light came on so I called Allison and she said it might be a loose gas cap. So if you knew this was an issue why not fix it before selling it? Instead you left me to find out on my own while on the road. A few weeks later within the same month, check engine light came on AGAIN! This time needing 2 coils replaced! Costing almost 300 bucks because OF COURSE that bogus warranty didn't cover it! NOW come November as of a couple days ago it wouldn't turn on after putting gas and is uncontrollably shaking with the check engine light on AGAIN. It's been only 8 months since I got this car and don't drive it far for me to have all these damn problems already! Come to find out it's gonna cost me 560 bucks now to fix some bs problem that the warranty doesn't cover either and they are calling "wear and tear"!!! Yea right!!! This car had issues prior to me purchasing it and the stupid fake warranty covers absolutely nothing! I trusted Allison because she comes off as a sweet lady who I told I needed a reliable car for my daughter and she played in my face and even acted like I needed that warranty when in reality it's a waste of money on my part and profit on theirs! she's fake and switched up her whole attitude when I called about the initial problem days later. The cars look nice online but they use them on the weekend as their personal cars. Mine was dirty with crayons and other stuff. Easy fix since it's all cosmetic but still not cool that wasn't disclosed. Car looked nothing to what the pictures did. Avoid this place. If something happens they'll provide excuses not solutions. B&J is AWESOME! Do not hesitate one bit about buying a car from any of the team members here. I worked specifically with Sean. Being an avid car guy myself in which I used to buy cars and flip from auction, I was weary on buying from a used a car dealership that I didn't know personally as usually many are not fully honest or hide details. This was NOT THE CASE AT ALL with Sean. From day one of me finding the car online from out of state, he eased each concern I had. Since I couldn't be there in person, he did a FaceTime video with me for 30 minutes showing every detail of the car, turning it on, revving up the engine, shifting it, checking for oil leaks, etc etc. I even had him show me if any codes were hiding in the code scanner. Once he found out this was a birthday surprise, he had the detail team do yet another detail on the car. And that isn't the best part.... Upon my wife and I receiving the vehicle from transport, there was a total freak thing where the key got stuck in the ignition and we couldn't get it out. I spoke to Sean (who on his day off and outside business hours) sent me many different options or possible solutions to help with this. After none of those worked, I took the car to my local mechanic here in AZ and Sean and his team picked up the tab for getting the part replaced and the labor cost to get in installed. B&J also helped cover the cost of a new battery since the other was low voltage as well as a windshield wiper fluid cover that was missed during initial inspection. At a time when many used car dealerships aren't honest, this dealer has a customer for life with me. Not only do they care about their integrity, but really care for their customers. I'll leave this review as honest as I can as a first time car buyer: I found a 4runner I was interested at this lot and wanted to check it out. Called up Gino and he set me up to come in and test drive it. I have always been an impulse buyer but this was exactly what I was looking for down to a tee and probably 10k less than what I've been seeing at toyota dealers. Anyways, came in and checked out the car and absolutely loved it. Was a plus that they stored this one in the garage rather than outside. Next is financing. I'm 22 years old and a first time car buyer, but I've been establishing my credit since I turned 18 so I didn't think financing would be too hard. Came in without a co-signer and ran a credit check at the dealer, however the companies they finance with wanted a lot more down that I was prepared for and a lot higher interest rate. Bummer, but I can't blame them because they don't finance directly. So that day I went home empty handed and applied for a loan through a local credit union and got approved with a super low APR. Called Marc and Gino and gave them the news. They helped me gather the information my bank needed and we're always quick to help when I was unsure of how to proceed. About 2 days after my first visit, Gino gave me a call and let me know that everything is finished and all I needed was to come in sign a few papers and I could be on my way in my 4runner! (They have everything including Mercedes, Porches and several Newer Tesla's. It was a simple form to borrow a car and have my mechanic inspect. All the cars had new or newer tires. I have nothing but good things to say about B&J Car Company! Let me preface my rain-of-praise for a moment, with my long-winded search for the *right vehicle beforehand. So, like most people, I ventured into the rabbit-hole that is Craigs List. I searched high and low, and stumbled upon some diamonds in the rough, but it was always something; The car didn't look like its picture, It didn't have a clean title, the car was sold MONTHS ago but left on CLs site to rot. I even met to buy ( it was a Hyundai 2012) and the seller wasn't straight forward enough about the history of the car.... so that was a firm no. I even made way to one of Kia's lots ( My previous car was purchased from Kia) and they were charging some ridiculous hidden fees (security system, gap insurance) which ballooned a 2013 Kia Spectra from $6712 to $9450... crazy. So after all that searching and disappointment, I found B&J within Carfax's listings (I love Carfox!). They had several great cars for sale, but the Kia Forte 2012 really caught my eye! I followed my information and intuition and called them up, and of course, the person on the other line checked out! It was DEAN! The best car salesman I'd ever met! We spoke about the Kia, and I fact-checked and compared info from online v.s the words falling out of DEANS mouth, and everything he was saying was better than what his listing suggested! GREAT SIGN! We coordinate a day to meet up and test drive the car, we did, and the process for purchasing the car couldn't have been smoother. Couple months ago I went to the dealership because they have a nice 2006 Toyota a white Toyota tundra. Unfortunately the truck has a lot of issues they told me it was OK they were gonna work on it so I went to drop it off or couple weeks later I got a call from one of the sales representative and he's like we don't wanna fix a truck. We already sell it to you as it is but no guarantees of course I told him no I would not drive the truck to me was a hazard because I already got stuck on the freeway. I'm so satisfied with my experience at B&J. I found one of their cars on Facebook Marketplace and drove about 1.5 hours to Tustin to check it out. The car was in great condition, clean carfax and even passed a perfect inspection by a local shop. I've been driving the car for a Month now and I am in love. Not only that, I had some special circumstances I was dealing with that required me to delay payment and they made very generous accommodations to help me get this car. I did provide a perfect credit score and was very transparent which I state only because I don't want people thinking they can go in there and take advantage. But I put trust in them and they returned that same trust. It's great to know there are honest car salesmen out their considering their industry has such a bad reputation.
