When I purchased my car from this dealership which was the beginning of July, they were nice and I did a trade with my bmw, gave them the payout letter from my bank told them that the payout needs to be made by August 6. August 7th comes, my bank takes out the monthly payment from my account for the bmw so I called my bank and ask why they took out a payment when the dealership should've paid the full amount and they said they haven't receive any payment. SMH... called the dealership many times but no answer, decided to text them instead ask if they have paid my bank and they responded, I have to ask my boss and I texted back that the check should've been received on the 6 and its the 7th now.. they said definitely will let me know. Nothing.... didn't hear back from them at all, I texted again Thursday at 8am didn't hear back, texted again at 10am told them that my bank has taken out the monthly payment from my account and that I will post a really bad review on yelp and they respond with 'If you paid a payment you should get a credit once the check arrives It happened to me when I traded my car in as well' thats when I said when did you guys mail the check? 'my boss mailed the check a couple days ago' which should've been Monday the 5th but I sent them the payout letter a while ago and told them that my bank needs that check by August 6 and it's Saturday the 9th, called my bank again to see if they received the payout amount and they said No.... Texted the dealer again to let them know my bank hasn't gotten anything and they responded with 'Hey, I'm sorry to hear that My boss mentioned that he will call Monday to verify To make sure there was no mix up with the address etc' but I gave them the payout letter the address was on that letter and they have been dealing with my bank which is Schools First for a long time so it doesn't make sense.. We bought a BMW X5 and as we found out after some months after the sale, the dealership intentionally hid defects. For example, the right-front guest side door handle was covered with some substance. We didn't discover it until a very hot day when it started melting and got all over my wife's hand. The guest-side front seat was also covered over and also wasn't discovered until a hot day. There was a big gash on the top of the spoiler which wasn't discovered until after the car's first wash. We also learned of something going on with the auto-shut-off that we haven't gotten repaired yet. If you choose to do business with this dealership, BUYER BEWARE. Do a VERY THOROUGH investigation of your auto before buying it, and take it to a mechanic for inspection. For a dealership to have these kinds of deceptive acts and practices to make a sale tells a lot about their integrity and honesty. And the sell was during the height of COVID. We didn't bother confronting it because of COVID, then a close family member passed away (not from COVID), and life we had to take the L. But we'll never patronize this business again. read more

I put to much faith in humanity and made an astronomical mistake when we purchased a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder on 12/19/2024 and on 3/14/2025 the engine has completely failed. The owner Simon said too bad so sad because we didn't purchase an extended warranty. We were not offered an extended warranty. Simon stood at the finance desk and said his mechanic guaranteed the car has zero mechanical issues. I have the texts from West Coast Auto that state the same thing. Only buy a car from them if you are looking to replace your entire engine after only 3 months. There is zero possibility they didn't know the engine was bad and what they did was have a mechanic gerry rig it to make the codes disappear. Go to the auctions yourself and get the cars that he's getting for a fraction of the price with far less risks. For reference I am a stay at home mother who homeschools so I don't drive more than 5,000 miles in an entire year. There is nothing I could have done to make this engine fail. This review is way overdue!!! My purchase was done on 12/24/2022. Having served in the military, I have purchased numerous vehicles on the East and West coasts. West Coast Auto Group truly exceeds any of my previous car buying experiences (and I have definitely had great experiences in the past). What makes West Coast Auto Group spectacular is their honest customer service which is truly unbelievable. After seeing one of their cars advertised on Car Gurus, with extremely low miles and a fantastic price, I was very impressed! On 12/23/2022, we drove to their location to check out the dealership. I found a very professional, impeccably clean, all indoor showroom full of BMWs, Mercedes, Audi, Land Rovers, Fiats, etc, all of which are beautifully, hand selected show pieces. Being that we came into the dealership right before closing, we looked around at the inventory and got a feel of quite a few of the vehicles. I originally went in thinking that I wanted to purchase a BMW 335i that was there. We briefly spoke to the salesman that was there. He brought us keys to start the vehicles but due to the close of business time, they were willing to come in the next morning, on Christmas Eve. (We had called other dealerships who were closed before the holiday, not willing to open, or were closed for multiple days following Christmas. (This car was gifted to me a day before Christmas) We explained that we were ready to purchase, and these guys made it happen! After careful evaluation and performing a test drive of the vehicle, we sealed the deal on 12/24/2022 with a beautiful Land Rover Range Rover. Simon really was super helpful. He came in and processed the paperwork and had me on the road in no time! I mostly worked with Amid, (overall super cool guy, very accommodating, made sure we received our car fax, had the car ready for our test drive, delivered exceptional customer service) but the entire West Coast Auto Group staff was professional, friendly, and highly knowledgeable about each car in their inventory and they won't ever pressures you to buy one model over another, which was truly pleasant in my experience. It was honestly like they were family and we had known them forever. With our particular purchase, we found their price of the Range Rover to be thousands of dollars less expensive than we could find anywhere else that we looked... truly, truly unbelievable! I echo the sentiments of every 1star review from this dealership who operates with NO INTEGRITY! My story is no different than those who had issues shortly after purchase (check their F-rating on BBB and negative reviews on various platforms). However, what made this experience horrid was that I was undergoing treatment at a cancer facility. I communicated this to staff & that the sole reason for the purchase was to have a reliable vehicle since I would be in CA for an indeterminate period. Not even 24hrs. after purchase, I experienced various issues, including the tire sensor coming on. When I took it to a shop, they discovered 2 nails on a rear tire but were unable to replace due to a missing wheel lock key - a safety issue. When I brought this up to West Coast Auto, they blamed the mechanics who did my pre-purchase inspection. I had to take it to a Volkswagen dealership to get the replacement who also discovered a host of other issues from their own inspection. Five days later, the engine light came on and the car refused to start altogether. My mechanic discovered a defective engine oil separator while informing me of a second issue regarding the AC condenser needing replacement. Less than 1 week later, I was out $2200.00 for the repairs & had to uber to get to my appointments. I returned the car to the dealership to fix the remaining issues. I provided documentation from my mechanic and the VW dealership. Owner Simon made lots of promises - including having me drop-off the vehicle to get it repaired with their own mechanic. When I didn't hear from him 2 days later, I went to the dealership to get the vehicle back. Of course, Simon was conveniently nowhere to be found. He would instruct staff (over the phone) on what to say to try & stall from remedying the issues. Once they finally returned the car, they told me there were no issues found. Later, I discovered other issues including a car roof leak. The stress from this situation has added to the burden of my diagnosis. You cannot mistreat people West Coast Auto and expect to have a lucrative business. Please stay away from this place! read more

This weekend however, I experienced, I something entirely different. Tony, Nina, and Nick served my family with superior customer service and the atmosphere felt genuine loving at the same time. I sold my junk car in August that I bought from West coast auto group. After spending 3k on repairs that the warranty wouldn't pay for that Tony said it would, it sat in the shop for 4 months, I couldn't afford to keep it with how many issues it had so I sold it in August. Talked to Alpha warranty and they told me I needed to get the shop to stop the auto payments and refund me for the amount they have been auto deducting from my bank account since august when I sold the car. I have called them numerous times and emailed them, with no responses. I contacted the BBB to help resolve my issue and still nothing. These guys are pigs. Buyer Beware. Make sure to have a skilled mechanic present who knows the type of car you are getting. Our trust in Manny and Simon resulted in repairs amounting to $5,650 on top of what we paid for our BMW. I looked at the reviews of this operation prior to our purchase with West Coast Auto Group Inc. My wife and I purchased a BMW X3 SUV on March 29th 2024 for our daughter. At the time of purchase we noticed white smoke coming from the exhaust. We were assured that this would get fixed claiming that it had to do with the Catalytic Converter. The car was ready with assurances that the issue was fixed (stated in both verbal and later in text communication). A little over a week later the car broke down with an error message. We took it to two mechanics and ultimately we paid over $5,650 to replace the engine. The car was in the shop for 7 weeks. According to two independent mechanics the engine had an issue that was pre-existing, yet this was never disclosed by the dealer. Repeated attempts were made throughout this time to reach the dealer representatives (Simon and Manny),... Without a response to the matter. We finally called our attorney who issued a letter requesting resolution to this issue. We're still awaiting a response. Our research shows that this car without a functioning engine is worth $1,000 to $3,000 in parts. Way... WAY below what we paid for this vehicle. They mis-represented the vehicles condition and failed to address the key concern. Evidence shows that the Catalytic converter was original and therefore not touched. Whether intentional or negligent. They were aware of a problem and refused to get involved. Bottom line...They don't care who drives the car (son, daughter, mother or father) they just want to sell the car, get the money and smile as you drive away.
