I've literally been trying to come in here for almost 5 years! It was recommended by people and some even say it's the best pizza in Rancho Cucamonga. I think because it's located in an older plaza and very low key that I keep forgetting about it. My husband and I came here for dinner on Friday and as soon as we entered we saw that there was already one table occupied and most of the folks inside we sitting at the bar. The man behind the bar told us to take a seat anywhere we wanted. We ordered 2 Cokes and a Large B&J's Combo pizza. It has cheese, pepperoni, ham, mushroom, bell pepper, and onion. The restaurant itself is a bit smaller than I was anticipating; nothing fancy inside. We were able to get our own refills. It's quite dim and has some TVs inside with the Sports channel on. On the window I noticed they have an "A" rating from the Health Department so that's good! (LOL) After looking at the menu, it looks like they have Happy Hour during the week. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, Happy Hour is from 4-7PM and it's All Day on Wednesday. Their every day special is if you Buy 1 Pizza, you'd get the second for 50% off! Our pizza came out piping hot and the first thing we noticed was the crust. It has cornmeal on it to give it more texture, and the crust itself is very fluffy on the interior like you're eating a soft piece of bread. Personally, I like a bit more a "chew" to my crust, but I found myself liking the fluffy crust. Next time we come, I'd ask for a little more sauce. They checked up on us a couple times. When we were about to leave, more people came in and the placed filled up pretty quick. Nice little pizza place, I'll definitely be putting it on my list to return here. read more

I've never dined in the restaurant, but I've ordered many pizzas to go. The pizza is pretty good, and I'd give it four stars. Unfortunately, today I ordered a Hot Philly Sub, and things took a turn for the worse. I don't know what freezer this sandwich came from, but they should put it back. This was the most bland and uninspired Philly I've ever had. I wish it was completely flavorless, but unfortunately it had flavor, bad flavor. For the love of God, put some seasoning on it, or jalapenos, onions, something!!. I can't wait until tomorrow morning, so I can get this thing out of my body. My advise, either learn how to make a proper Philly sandwich, or take it off the menu. On the plus side, my girlfriend also brought home a pizza in case the sandwich sucked, which it did. If you're not a regular having a beer at the bar, don't go here.. stopped in while I had a family member at the PT place in the same shopping center. Pizza was decent ... sandwich was mediocre... service was horrible. Making sure the regulars at the bar had their beers filled to the brim was more important than seating people, than taking orders for food, or giving you the check so you can get the F%&# out... easy to see they don't want any new customers. Food isn't much to brag about, other than their pizza. Pizza is really good! Patrons are very friendly and are what makes B&J's a place that I keep coming back for. I ordered a sandwich that came with a bag of chips. The chips were past date and tasted rancid. I asked the server if there are any chips fresher because the bag she served me was out of date. She replied, "No, they're all the same, sorry". She did not offer me a substitute side. Needless to say, she didn't receive a tip from me. I've been in customer service for 20+years...12 years of that in food/ restaurant. That is NOT how you handle a situation like that. I do not know her name. I only know she wore bright red lipstick and it was Friday 11/4/2022 at around 5:30pm. I've never had a bad experience with any other server here before. B & J's Pizza is an absolutely, unassuming gem of a pizza spot! The pizza here is delicious! They go heavy on the corn meal, which really sticks to the dough and the crust is heavenly crunchy on the outside, but soft and airy on the inside. They don't use too much sauce and the toppings are plenty! Meat lovers, combo (veggies and meats), pepperoni and pineapple (don't judge) or plain ol' pep and cheese, all the pizzas here are delicious. One oddly brilliant thing they have on the menu is pepperoni chips. Nothing special. Just plain old pepperonis which have been cooked to a crisp and served to you in a bowl. Try them, and I'll bet you can't eat only one. Again, very odd, but very tasty (especially with beer). Which brings me to the next thing: BEER! While they don't cater to you "I only drink craft" types, they do have some solid macro-brewed owned beers (Elysian Space Dust, Blue Moon, etc.). There is definitely a local vibe to this place, too. The regulars will sit happily at the bar, talk and joke around and even break out in dance once in a while. I've been to this eatery a few times with a group of friends and the regulars are as welcoming as the owner/workers. YELPER INSIDER TIP: Even if you're ordering "to go" or for "pick up", pizza here takes time to make. Expect at least a 25 minute wait (but it'll be worth the wait, I promise). read more

Yes there's always improvement needed for a restaurant (carpet, chairs..etc from other feedback) but to me it's their service and quality of food that made me a royal customer. I never had any problems with their service if it's not good, then it will be awesome! Maybe because we never ask much. Sandwich or pizza- they've been great everytime we ordered and way less expensive than the chains in the area. Just try them and you'll keep going back. Took the kiddos for some pizza the other night and this spot came to mind. In all the years we've lived in Rancho, I've never tried this spot. It's dated interior and low key signage doesn't scream, " we have great pizza and beer" but I think that's the beauty of this location. It's simplicity keeps it a hidden gem. They have a daily special of, "buy one pie get one 1/2 price" which works out great for our party of 6. We ordered a medium Vegetarian and a medium pepperoni and mushroom. Continuing the tour of Ranchos best pizza joints we ended up here on a Saturday night. When I walked in I was surprised that's it's more a bar than it is a pizza joint. It's kid friendly but more for the older kids . Not sure I would bring a toddler to a dive bar. Place was pretty empty. Most were there either for Keno or to drink cheap beer. Either way it didn't bother me one bit. The pizza did take a bit to arrive but we passed the time by playing a few games of keno and watching the basketball game. That helped. We ordered the combo pizza and a sausage and pepperoni. This place does not skimp on cheese or toppings. The ingredients were fresh. Not canned or frozen. The combo was more like a deep dish. It has an amazing crust with just the right amount of crust crunch. The larger pepperoni and sausage was a but thinner but I'm not sure why. Either way, both were really really good. Wanted to try this place as it is near by. I called in the order and was quoted 40 minutes on a Saturday which is reasonable. When I arrived, it was fairly busy on not only the bar side, but also the dining room, and there were two other people in line for pick ups. When it was my turn, my order was ready timely and the pricing was reasonable. Two medium 1 topping pizzas for $20 and change. The man who rang up my order was nice and told me he appreciated my business. I took the pizza to my car and went to pick up some ice cream in the same shopping center. When I got home, the pizza was still super hot! The toppings were generous and we had never had crust like this before. It was thick and crunchy texture on the outside (almost like fried chicken) but then the dough was soft on the inside. The sauce was tasty and over all it was really good. This is possibly the best pizza in the area, and the best deal on Wednesday when large one topping pizzas are six dollars. It is made from scratch and it's obvious that it is a higher quality product than you can get at Dominoes or Pizza Hut. I usually just get a plain cheese, but their sausage pizza is also pretty tasty. My favorite part is the crust, which is thick and is very chewy. Almost like a New York-style bagel. The bar I can take or leave. It is very divey and definitely a local's joint. There is sports memorabilia all over the walls and all the monitors are playing different sports games. The beer is also reasonably priced, especially during happy hour, but is typical American Budweiser type beers. They do carry Blue Moon on draft, one of my favorite mass produced beers, and I got a humongous glass of it for only six bucks. No orange slice, but I came here for beer and pizza, not fruit. Service here is also super friendly, and I got service immediately upon entering. Everyone was accommodating and gave good recommendations on food and beer, and it definitely had a "Cheers" type environment. I hate leaving negative reviews but the pizza/service was just terrible. I called exactly at 2pm to place an order (their new opening hour due to COVID) and called 5x before someone finally answered. Was told it would be a 50 minute wait for pickup (when they JUST opened), which I agreed to. I picked up my order at 2:50pm exactly, to be given my order (one medium cheese and one medium pepperoni) COLD. I told the man working that the boxes were cold. He tried to tell me they were warm and that he had 3 orders ahead of mine and reassured me they were hot because he placed it on the oven. Got home to COLD DRY pizza. With the DRIEST crust you'd ever eat in your life, not even edible!! I want a refund. The ONLY reason for two stars is because my husband liked the taste of his pepperoni. We ordered two pizzas pepperoni and the BJS special which was basically like the works hot wings beer soda antipasto salad garlic bread and a little something called pepperoni chips Everything was very good short and sweet would we come back? We called and explained the situation but the girl who answered the phone (who sounded like the same girl who took our order) was rude and said we probably made the mistake and it's not their fault.
