My SUV wouldn't start in a parking garage in Hoboken, NJ. A&L Auto Body was the only shop willing to drive their tow truck into the narrow garage to try to get it out. After making multiple trips to the garage to test various solutions, they were actually able to fix my car (when AAA couldn't), helping me avoid all costs associated with towing. If A&L wasn't able to step up, I have no idea what I would have done to get that car out of that garage. My experience with them was perfect, and I highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of a tow or any sort of car repair/maintenance.

The work that was done seems thorough, aesthetically it looks GREAT and the car parts that were replaced are functioning once again. They also have a warranty policy on parts which I believe is 6 months. Not sure what's standard. When picking up our vehicle they told us about other maintenance we needed to get done (as requested by my partner when the car was dropped off). Lady at the front desk claimed she called us about it but we got no calls or messages about it. Would've been better to get it all done at the same time and I would have preferred that option since our car was at the shop for 2+ weeks. The salesperson/administrative personnel didn't have the best communication style. She seemed too busy to answer questions thoroughly though the place really wasn't busy. The office itself is outdated, very 80s, maybe 70s. My only gripe is the extra charges you get if you pay with a credit card. Not sure if it's standard practice but the place we usually get our maintenance done doesn't charge extra for using a card. We were quoted about $340 for a job if we paid cash but almost $390 if we paid with card. That's a big difference in this economy.

My car was deeply keyed along 90-95% of the whole passenger side; the front passenger door was kicked, and the bottom of the rear passenger door & adjacent skirt was damaged, as well. I cried when I saw the damage; I love my car and its unique body style! And I was very worried about having it repaired to my quality standards. Fortunately, I followed AMMO NYC on YouTube and discovered that he was greatly impressed by and spoke highly of J&B BODYWORKS' expertise, well-equipped facility, significant attention to detail and overall care. I met with Joe Izzo (an owner) and his son Mike and they immediately assured me that my car would be treated as well as the Ferraris, Bentleys, Lamborghinis and other high-end cars that this shop is uniquely certified to repair by the manufacturers. Joe also went above and beyond in working closely with my insurance company adjuster to ensure that the needed repairs were covered within the insurance company's limitations and avoided the car being 'totaled' due to its age and the extent of the damage.
