One of the best shops in our area. They've worked on my 3/4 ton Ram diesel pickup, my wife's BMW e46, and my son's Audi B7 avant. Riley has advised me against doing work I thought I needed, and he was right, there was no need. Contrast this with another shop we use in the area, where we've spent close to 10 thousand dollars chasing an engine oil leak, and after 6 different trips to that shop (NOT B&R), we still have oil drips under the car. It's really hard to find a shop that you can trust, both to get the work done properly when it's called for, but also to tell you when it's NOT needed. Good mechanics here, no worries. read more

Imagine, it is Friday afternoon around 4:30 and you are traveling in your RV, visiting various sights around Tumwater and Tenino. You decide to head to Centralia for an ice cream at Nea's. All of the sudden the road feels wobbly and your alternator light goes on! The serpentine belt has failed. It's a good 8 miles to town and we called into our trusty Les Schwab... they don't do belts, just tires and brakes but they highly recommended B&R Automative. We called and talked to Tasha. Told her we had a spare belt and needed it installed. She told us to come on in! They were open until 6:00. We arrived with no power steering or alternator. Bryson worked his magic. We opted for a fresh belt which was delivered at 5:15 and installed by 5:30. This place is amazing. Good communication; great attention to all details. I also appreciated that B&R has women mechanics who are top notch. If you live in the area you should use this company for all your automotive needs. Sunday morning our 2010 Fusion Hybrid had the check-engine light come on and the car was shuddering on our way home to Seattle from Portland. We pulled over in Chehalis, and looked up shops in the area. B&R has good reviews, so we had Geico tow it here. The tow company said "B&R? Yeah, we tow there all the time, they're good." Called on Monday to confirm they got it--and they'd already started looking at it on Sunday. Turns out, it was a bad fuel injector. They asked if we wanted all 4'replaced or just the one I asked Riley's advice--he said they aren't connected, but in his experience if one goes, another will probably soon follow (like headlights). They did all 4 for around $500 and had it ready to go on Thursday (had to order parts). Picked it up Friday and they let me take it even though they couldn't charge me right away since the power just went out. Good work, nice people, good price. Everyone should use this shop so they can continue to make a good living and stay in business so that if I have problems on I-5 again I'll know where to take my car! read more

I took my SUV there to get overall check up. Quoted me 89.00 for evaluation. They had it for 3 days. It was supposed to be a few hours. No follow up from the assistant. When I picked it up 3 days later as I drove it for 1/2 hour. I lost power steering ability. Took it back and had it checked out again. When I went back to get it. I thought it had to many miles from when I dropped it off. I know they test drive the vehicles to make sure it's fine. Still more miles than should be. But most of all....I believe that it was used for other purposes..in the back seat metal area had huge engraved like serious scratches. Like they used it to pick up or drop off a engine..possibly for motorcycle. I don't recommend them. Seemed shady to me. Never again ‼ read more

You should only go there if you want to junk your car after, this the worst mechanic ever, I warn you, if there was a 0 star, that would be what i would give, He started working on my cars since May of this year and I give him 1 referral, He had to replace a brake for my aunt and forgot to put the bolt back and my almost got into an accident and had to take the car a dealership to get it fix, he was working on mine trying to fix my horn by replacing a clock spring, he got the car worse then it was by having it breaking by itself while driving, I took the car back to him to fix and replacing a door handle for me since August 29th, today is Sept 26, he broke the window regulator and lied about it saying I gave it to him broken, since August 31st until today, I'm still waiting for the car and nothing yet, I call him every other day, text him, he never respond to any text or call, I was pissed and had to go get the car today undone after he got paid, you shouldn't be around serving the community dude, everytime i go there, he will lie saying i can come back later to get it, I only had one car and you can imagine relying on ride for a whole month because of an irresponsible shop, don't say I didn't warn you, I can even show you proof if you want, don't waste your time or your life by going to this shitty shop. read more

Not only do they fix what your problem is, they give your vehicle a look over to ensure nothing else unexpected happens while you are out on the road. If you are in this area and need your vehicle fixed, this is the place to take your car, without having to worry about your wallet being emptied. I usually work on my vehicle issues myself, however I was stranded 100 miles from my home and had no choice but to go to a mechanic. These owners are amazing! We got stuck in Centralia on our way to Seattle with radiator issues. Many things are closed on Sundays in this town, but not these guys! Talk about friendly and accommodating. Not only did we get a quick and VERY honest and fair quote, the owner also gave us a ride to a hotel for the evening and offered lots of suggestions of things for us to do around town. Such kindness and thoughtful gestures are rare in this world. We highly recommend this shop! read more

I took a classic Corvette to B&R with a bad knock and rattling noise coming from the engine, especially at cold start. I was told before that it may need a new engine. Also, there was gasoline in the engine oil. Not good. I told them to do whatever it took to fix it, expecting an engine rebuild. I was extremely pleased and pleasantly surprised to be told a few days later that the car was ready and only needed a catalytic converter for the low-end noise (and not a new engine) and it took two new injectors to fix the gas-in-the-oil problem. My total bill was right at $500.00 - a new engine would have been 10 times that. I highly recommend B&R Automotive. read more

This auto repair shop was excellent. My car broke down on I-5 and I limped it into Chehalis, fearing the worst. They provided a prompt investigation and estimate, and worked me in the following day. They fixed my car and it runs beautifully now. The technician was very nice, straightforward, and provided excellent communication. Prices were reasonable and competitive. Like others, our aging Jeep broke down on I-5 on a Sunday last Dec. and we limped into Centralia with much trepidation. A guy at a gas station referred us to Bryson. He was wonderful and diagnosed it as an alternator problem and replaced it right away. We didn't even have to spend the night! Very honest, good guy, with an interesting shop. read more

B&R automotive in centralia was incredible. They are honest and have the highest integrity and customer service. I broke down miles from nowhere and on a long holiday weekend. He not only accepted my vehicle in but promised to inspect the issue and let us know. He not only did that but contacted my warranty service and when it turned out to be covered by the dealer he delivered it early in the morning with his own vehicle. He was amazing and i cannot speak more highly or rate him more highly. He is a USMC veteran and has certainly honored his commitments to service.
