Being retired a repair bill that high is hard to pay so I just parked the truck and didn't drive it. Eventually I decided to get a second opinion and took the Truck to Transmissions Unlimited and Gabriel told me that the transmission just needed a flush and after they completed it my truck was shifting fine again. Gabriel also said that it might need another part replaced but his tests were inconclusive and he didn't want to put the other part in unless he was sure since it would cost another $500. It is so difficult to find a truly honest and reputable repair shop and after taking my truck into Transmissions Unlimited and working with Gabriel to get my truck repaired I am very happy to have finally found a repair shop I can trust and have confidence that my vehicles will be diagnosed and repaired correctly. I very rarely give a 5 star review but that is what I give to this repair shop.

(AAA approved auto repair facility that's been pre-screened) this was late in the day and we fully anticipated this would be a timely fix and were stressed trying to see how we could make this all work with pets and a young child at home. Shane and Sean both were extremely professional and helpful from the moment we walked in offering us water and a clean bathroom. They diagnosed our problem quickly and offered us a quote and options. John offered to stay late to work in order to get us back on the road the next day. (So thankful to you John!) The team helped us secure good accommodations at one of the newly remodeled hotels in the area and shuttled us there and back the next day. They called back the next day when they said they would. Despite the unexpected setback, this shop was outstanding in both their both their customer and prompt service. I was told that my sensor was in error and that it would be $2500 to replace my front, rear and parking brake (if necessary). I was told that my truck took very expensive brakes since it was expensive truck-- I later found out that this is not true. I then took my truck to Les Schwab to get a second opinion. Stuff happens and you can only hope that the shop will step up and take care of it. Not this shop, the owner refused to accept any liability, blaming the tech he hired and the shop that supplied the replacement heads. After an 18 month battle with him and his insurance company we finally had to file a claim in the courts to get partially reimbursed for the re repairs. I cannot stress enough how important it is to find another shop to do business with. You may get lucky and they won't damage your vehicle working on it, but is it worth the risk? I feel that this review need not be forgotten. I don't care how many years it has been. Hence the repost. As I said do one bad job they tell everybody.

The…read moreday I got it back it had a 1870 code and shifted very hard from 1st to 2nd gear and from 2nd to 3rd gear and the gear shift indicator no longer worked. I returned the truck to his shop 2 days later . During the 2 year warranty period he had my truck for 138 days (over 4 months). He never fixed the gear shift indicator and the 1870 code will not clear for more than about 10 miles. The truck still shifts very hard. I took Transnet transmission ( Tracy Jones ) to small claims court in Mason County and won. It has been 80 days and he has not payed a penny of the judgment.

He kept the truck for 6 weeks then texted me it was done key under mat. Took it home hauled a load off road and no 4x4. Called he said must of forgot to hook something up. finally got time to fix it myself 4x4 came on and it popped into neutral. checked it was off the dip stick fluid everywhere again. Called no answer no return call twice. Now it is acting bad from the low fluid and I am paying again to get the work done somewhere else.

Not being familiar with Purdy, I stopped at the first gas station I saw to see if anyone could help me put on my spare. Long story short, I got directed to another gas station, then to an auto parts shop, and then to here. With it pouring down rain and me running very late to my appointment by now, I was discouraged when I arrived, to say the least. I asked (who I later found out was) the owner, Jeremy, if he "knew of anybody that could help me put on my spare." He asked if I had the tire, I replied yes, and he said, with the biggest smile, "Just pull your car up and we'll get it put on there in no time!" I was so relieved that I just immediately started crying and did as he said. He then told me that he didn't see a flat tire, so I told him which one it was and that I had aired it up at the previous gas station. He then told me that they would check to see if it was fixable (without me even asking!) and put the spare on if not. Five minutes later, the mechanic comes in saying that my tire was fixed, no spare needed. Jeremy then told me that it was only going to be $5. When I told him that I want him to charge me more than that (I was verrrry thankful), he and the woman behind the counter both politely laughed and politely ask their head, saying that it was called, "Paying It Forward." I reluctantly handed him my card, but he laughed and said just to bring him $5 the next time I was in the area. He then proceeded to tell me that if this ever happens again, to just come straight to them and they will put air in my tires for free or do anything else needed. I know this is really long, but I can't reiterate enough how much of a savior he was that day. I ended up still making some of our bridal dress appointment in Seattle, and I'm not even driving on a donut. He didn't have to be so kind, but he was, and for that I'm very, very thankful. I will no doubt be back to them for all of my similar needs. Go see them, you will not be disappointed with their service!!!

I gave it a generous 3, but you make your own opinion!…read more I had a 2 year, 24k mile warranty for a complete transmission rebuild completed 3 years ago. Current day, 10k miles later & 3 years on the transmission, it went again. Even though the 2 year warranty expired, the low miles traveled we were able to work out a fair agreement were I pay for the cost of parts and they pay for all other cost such as labor, disposal or special fees. It took 2.5 weeks to get to the agreement. Then another 5.5 weeks of repairs only for them to tell us that the rebuilt transmission was doing the exact same thing that it was brought back in for 8 weeks ago. Another couple days and they determined what it was. And the saga continues; They sent that part out to be rebuilt. It was returned, delivered and stolen off their doorstep. They had to order & pay for another and get it installed. Here we are after 10 weeks without my truck. Truck in hand now and seems to be fine. How many stars would you have gave?
