Get Your Hands Dirty - Make Your Own Seafood Boil
    Cara H.

This seafood was so good!! I placed an order over the phone and picked it up within 10 minutes. They were fast, accurate, and you get a good amount of food. When I picked up my food the restaurant was fairly quite because it wasn't busy. It also did take me a second to find the restaurant once I parked on the street.

Well let's just be honest, a philly cheese steak place that also sells seafood boils is a bit confusing. But it is oh so good. I've only tried the chicken Philly adding banana peppers (3 times). The bread is soft and light, the meat tastes great and is not dry, and it's loaded down with cheese. I've also had the Cajun ranch fries and the original. Either way they are great. They have a variety of lemonade drinks with fruit purees added. My favorite is the blueberry. It's sweet and tart. And full of fruit!! If you go please try it!! The service is also quick and friendly!!

My sis has been wanting to try this place since she's a big fan of cheesesteaks and Phillys. We rode by and saw that they had outdoor seating which was a plus. It was about an hour before closing but this place wasn't missing a beat. Although they were not crowded, they were handling many pickup orders. The menu is unique in that they serve flavored wings, sandwiches, boiled seafood bags and salads. I went with the .5 lb headless shrimp bag in the B&W sauce, mild with lemon pepper wings. My sis got a bacon and 3 cheese chicken Philly, and spring rolls. The staff was pleasant and the food itself didn't take long to prepare and serve. The chicken pieces are large but juicy. They had a good lemon pepper taste. I asked them to cook them crispy but some of the drums were still a little too pink inside for my preference. My shrimp bag was very underwhelming. It really lacked flavor in comparison to other places that specialize in these type dishes. The corn was tasty and fresh. My sis didn't eat much of her Philly. She said the chicken was very dry on the sandwich... which was disappointing since that's why we tried this place from the start. She made no comment about the spring rolls and only ate 1 of the 3. I don't think we'll be running back to this spot anytime soon but they seem to be a unique spot for hospital staff and those who live near the Southside.

The food here was amazing! I came with my fiancé and we both got the Philly cheesesteaks and loved every bite! I got mine fully loaded with red & green peppers, onions, mushrooms and it was so delicious. I loved that the bread was soft and gave for a very juicy and tender bite. The fries were an excellent addition (well-seasoned , Cajun style.) I will definitely be back to get a cheesesteak and to also try their seafood!

Still using which which tables from old company.

Nasty overpriced product. I could not eat all my meal. I had a philly, fries, and a drink. My philly cheese steak was more cheese than steak. The fries were cold. The only positive I have was the cashier was helpful friendly. Food serving times are quick. Eat here at your own risk. You might regret it later. You know what I mean?

Not a bad place. Ordered a cheesesteak and bacon ranch fries. Not a lot of meat on the sandwich if you're going to compare to T-Bones. And the fries weren't hot when I got them. But the flavors were good. If you're looking for a meaty cheesesteak, this isn't the place. But they do offer a variety of types to try if you're interested. There's also seafood. Haven't tried it though. Oh, and they have that good ice.

So we came across this location as a sponsor on Facebook, well my husband started asking he wanted some so I went ahead and ordered and did the 30 min drive. Let's first just say the drive was worth it. Our order was a lil bit of all their seafood with the the spicy level and personalized our seasoning with the garlic butter with Cajun Seasoning. This was so finger licking good!!! Even the red potatoes drench in all that seasoning goodness!!! Will definitely get them again when I am around!!

I had the philly steak & cheese sandwich and it was delicious! I have had it other places and it's usually too greasy and fatty. This one was light, the bread tasted nice and I am sure they marinated the mushrooms:)). Also ate the best fries I've had in a while. Going back for sure.

But we'd spent the day at McWane Center and we were starving so we were there to EAT! The food looked gorgeous but it tasted very meh. The onion rings had too much breading on them, which I didn't think was possible, but here we are. The part of the breading next to the onion was mushy so that threw off the texture of the whole thing too. The burger was very much like a Whataburger. Even the lettuce smelled the same. I got The Standard and the bun of the burger was a little mushy (similar to Whataburger) and there was not much meat. For an $11 burger, I'm expecting more than a Whataburger. My middle kid likes everything on her burger and isn't picky at all and the loaded kid burger looked impressive but it was about the same as mine. Not awful, but not very good either. Very close to the same amount of meat. She's the queen of the Clean Plate Club and she only ate half. The fries were good but a somewhat too salty, the dip that came with the onion rings was excellent and we ended up using it for the fries. We had 2 adults and 3 kids and our meal was $63 before tip for 5 waters, 2 adult burgers, 2 kid burgers, a kid grilled cheese, and a basket of fries and onion rings (I thought I was ordering a "side" of fries, not realizing I actually ordered a basket and it was a lot of fries and onion rings). We don't mind spending money on good food, but the prices here don't align with what you get. No one was more disappointed than me, I've been wanting to eat here for FOREVER!!!

Ordered 4 different things. Even downloaded DoorDash just for them... and if you know me, you KNOW I hate DoorDash. That alone should tell you everything. This place DOES. NOT. MISS. Every single dish? Fresh. Hot. Flavor packed. No complaints--not one. And if you love Asian food, there's something on that menu for you. Period. Yeah, you might wait a little--but that's because it's made fresh. And trust me... it's worth every second. The service? Top tier. The owner is one of those people you can tell genuinely cares--taking orders, helping the kitchen, making sure everything is right. You don't see that everywhere. Food Service Cleanliness Easy 5/5. Honestly, there is NO reason this place shouldn't have a line wrapped down the street. Birmingham... don't fumble this one. There are plenty of options to choose from. I put in a few things from the appetizers because I know they take a while to cook. Everything came out very fresh and hot. I didn't have one complaint. Then I asked for a salmon and tuna nigiri(sushi) but she brought out the sashimi. Which is cut into really small blocks. I also got the Philly roll which was fine. I got the shrimp hibachi which took a while to cook as expected but was very fresh and the Otsuka roll. Loved the hibachi but the otsuka roll just didn't sit right. The roll was lightly battered and fried so the cream cheese had almost melted out of it completely. Overall, I wasn't a fan of the sushi, but the other items on the AYCE were great. I did feel a little rushed by the employees to hurry and be done ordering even though it was dead. If I would have had a better experience with the employees, I probably would have given them 4 stars but they just made me feel uncomfortable.
