Get Your Hands Dirty - Make Your Own Seafood Boil
    Cara H.

This seafood was so good!! I placed an order over the phone and picked it up within 10 minutes. They were fast, accurate, and you get a good amount of food. When I picked up my food the restaurant was fairly quite because it wasn't busy. It also did take me a second to find the restaurant once I parked on the street.

Well let's just be honest, a philly cheese steak place that also sells seafood boils is a bit confusing. But it is oh so good. I've only tried the chicken Philly adding banana peppers (3 times). The bread is soft and light, the meat tastes great and is not dry, and it's loaded down with cheese. I've also had the Cajun ranch fries and the original. Either way they are great. They have a variety of lemonade drinks with fruit purees added. My favorite is the blueberry. It's sweet and tart. And full of fruit!! If you go please try it!! The service is also quick and friendly!!

My sis has been wanting to try this place since she's a big fan of cheesesteaks and Phillys. We rode by and saw that they had outdoor seating which was a plus. It was about an hour before closing but this place wasn't missing a beat. Although they were not crowded, they were handling many pickup orders. The menu is unique in that they serve flavored wings, sandwiches, boiled seafood bags and salads. I went with the .5 lb headless shrimp bag in the B&W sauce, mild with lemon pepper wings. My sis got a bacon and 3 cheese chicken Philly, and spring rolls. The staff was pleasant and the food itself didn't take long to prepare and serve. The chicken pieces are large but juicy. They had a good lemon pepper taste. I asked them to cook them crispy but some of the drums were still a little too pink inside for my preference. My shrimp bag was very underwhelming. It really lacked flavor in comparison to other places that specialize in these type dishes. The corn was tasty and fresh. My sis didn't eat much of her Philly. She said the chicken was very dry on the sandwich... which was disappointing since that's why we tried this place from the start. She made no comment about the spring rolls and only ate 1 of the 3. I don't think we'll be running back to this spot anytime soon but they seem to be a unique spot for hospital staff and those who live near the Southside.

The food here was amazing! I came with my fiancé and we both got the Philly cheesesteaks and loved every bite! I got mine fully loaded with red & green peppers, onions, mushrooms and it was so delicious. I loved that the bread was soft and gave for a very juicy and tender bite. The fries were an excellent addition (well-seasoned , Cajun style.) I will definitely be back to get a cheesesteak and to also try their seafood!

Still using which which tables from old company.

Nasty overpriced product. I could not eat all my meal. I had a philly, fries, and a drink. My philly cheese steak was more cheese than steak. The fries were cold. The only positive I have was the cashier was helpful friendly. Food serving times are quick. Eat here at your own risk. You might regret it later. You know what I mean?

Not a bad place. Ordered a cheesesteak and bacon ranch fries. Not a lot of meat on the sandwich if you're going to compare to T-Bones. And the fries weren't hot when I got them. But the flavors were good. If you're looking for a meaty cheesesteak, this isn't the place. But they do offer a variety of types to try if you're interested. There's also seafood. Haven't tried it though. Oh, and they have that good ice.

So we came across this location as a sponsor on Facebook, well my husband started asking he wanted some so I went ahead and ordered and did the 30 min drive. Let's first just say the drive was worth it. Our order was a lil bit of all their seafood with the the spicy level and personalized our seasoning with the garlic butter with Cajun Seasoning. This was so finger licking good!!! Even the red potatoes drench in all that seasoning goodness!!! Will definitely get them again when I am around!!

I had the philly steak & cheese sandwich and it was delicious! I have had it other places and it's usually too greasy and fatty. This one was light, the bread tasted nice and I am sure they marinated the mushrooms:)). Also ate the best fries I've had in a while. Going back for sure.

These are my favorite kind of places in the world. From the moment I walked up and saw the big piles of wood outside I knew I was probably going to like this place. We had an amazing meal here. Every single bite was good. I ate myself damn near sick! I cannot wait to come back!! The day we were there the bartender was waiting on the whole place himself with just someone helping him run food and clear tables. We only had an hour before we had to be at an appointment, so when we sat down at the bar I got concerned that we would not have time to eat here. He was busy. He seemed behind. Thank goodness I was wrong. Once he finally got to us we were decided on our meals. He took our order on his little handheld register thing, grabbed our tasty beverages, and poof, off he went. C had the pulled chicken sandwich with deviled eggs and I had pulled pork, smoked chicken thighs, beans, and a giant pile of pork rinds. Holy shit it was good!!! I didn't pay attention to the fact that my thighs had AL white sauce on them until well after I had ordered. Had I know that, I would not have ordered them. I despise all things that have anything to do with mayonnaise. But.... Had I known, I would have never known. I fucking loved it! I could have eaten 10 of them. There were hands down the best smoked chicken that I have ever had. The pork was bad ass too! I dare say perfect. Beans were great, and the pork rinds side was massive and still warm from the fryer with a killer seasoning on them. There are not enough adjectives to describe this food. I am in love. I cannot wait to get some more of those damn chicken thighs!! '26 - 68

They also added in some of their sausages for us to try as well. Here is a tip - if you want brisket, go early. I got the last of their brisket and the pop-up market was only halfway through! Took everything home and we had a FANTASTIC dinner. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was good! It's crazy!! Party of 6 in our group and everyone loved it! I have worn the same Pepsi hat to every restaurant, gas station, casino, gift shop, and livestock auction from Missouri to Montana. It's basically my formal wear. So naturally, when I saw a place called Eugene's, I nearly drove into the parking lot before I finished reading the sign. The young man taking my order immediately complimented my Pepsi hat. Folks, that bought more goodwill than any rewards program ever could. I told him I've worn this hat across 47 states and through three separate back injuries. He nodded like he understood the responsibility. I ordered the hot chicken. Now listen. I love chicken. I don't mean normal people love chicken. I mean if chicken ever ran for president, I'd volunteer for the campaign. This chicken was good. Real good. Crispy, juicy, enough heat to remind me I'm alive but not enough to make me start seeing old ex-boyfriends. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I built it up too much in my head. A restaurant named Eugene's serving chicken to a man named Eugene? That's a lot of pressure for one meal. Still, I cleaned my plate, adjusted my Pepsi hat, and rode off into the sunset like the gay cowboy God intended. Great job fellas.

And good thing I did! I looked at the menu and honestly wanted to order everything cause it all sounds good. I don't eat much so I went with the two piece chicken tenders kids meal. She then said "It's the same amount of food." which, ok cool, but I don't think that should be said cause they can lose out on money. Just my opinion. And FYI, I very often get kids meals cause I really don't eat a lot. Not trying to save money or anything. The meal came with two chicken tenders, sauce, fries and a drink. Fries were good. Nothing to complain about. Those tenders tho.....YUM!!! So much flavor. And the ranch I got with it....yes! Not sure when I'll be in Birmingham again but I will 100% go back and try other items!

A menu board sitting in front of the truck had their menu for today. They had BBQ pork sandwiches, pork plates, rib plates, bbq nachos, wings, roasted corn, bbq beans, pineapple lemonade, and more. The service here was fast and friendly. The prices are about what you would expect for bbq. I got the bbq pork sandwich for $9, the rib plate with two sides -roasted corn and beans- for $18, and a pineapple lemonade for $4. Two people for $36. The amount of food you get is very generous. The bbq pork sandwich was pretty basic, just pork and sauce, but it was huge. Pork and sauce poured over the bun to fill the biggest portion of the to go plate. The meat was tender and juicy and is somewhere between pulled and chopped. The bbq sauce isn't overly sweet and has a spicy kick. It's not a hot sauce but if you are sensitive to heat, you may want to choose something else. There is a bit of after burn. My mom couldn't eat it due to an extreme aversion to spice but I had it later for dinner and I enjoyed it very much. The real star for me was the rib plate. These ribs were huge, tender, and moist, with just enough bite to keep them from falling off the bone. They are rubbed with spices and you have the option of bbq sauce, which I got. Get plenty of napkins because you will need them. These are some of the best ribs I've had in a while. I wanted to suck the bones. My sides were roasted corn and baked beans. Both of these had a little kick of heat to them, so once again, if you can't stand spice look out. Both side items were delicious. Let's talk about the pineapple lemonade. When I saw it was $4, I almost skipped it, but am I ever glad I didn't! This lemonade is so refreshing, sweet, and smooth I could have happily finished off a gallon or more. It's very sweet and there is little tang. It was so worth it. If you see this truck, get over there quick, you don't want to miss out.
