Day two of my Birmingham Restaurant Week food reviews and this one is on A-Train Station. Originally I came here to order the polish sausage but when I got to the window to order it I was told they were out and were trying to get more. So I ended up putting in a different order. When I went back to pick up my order the guy had just walked up with fresh sausages and I was heart broken. But I will be sure the next time I comeback to this food truck I will be getting that polish sausage for sure! So let's get into what I order. I went ahead and got the bacon cheese burger that came with peppers and onions with white american cheese and a side of seasoned fries. If you saw my review yesterday you see what I'm already about to talk about. Once again a burger with bacon bits instead of actual bacon strips. I don't know if this is a trend or a cutting cost thing but I just don't like it. However the burger itself was pretty good it was a thick patty that was well seasoned but there was a seasoning I couldn't quit figure out what it was but it had a weird lingering flavor I just did not like and for that this burger gets a 7.5/10. Really good burger but idk whatever that flavor was threw it off for me. The seasoned fries were good. Crispy and salty crinkle cut fries what more can you ask for? 9/10 These guys also had a Philly Cheese steak and Philly Cheese Fries that my buddy Rashad Caldwell and man when I tell you he inhaled it in less then 5 seconds which left me to believe it was very good and from what I saw it looked very good. My other buddy Stati Jones had their Philly Cheese Steak Quesadilla and here's what he had to say about it... "Loved it! A great concept. I love both Quesadillas and Philly Cheese Steaks. Combining them was a great idea! 8/10" Go check these guys out they are putting out great food and I can't wait to go back so I can finally get the elusive Polish Sausage lol!

A-Train was at our office this week and I can't wait until we have them back to be able to try more of their menu. Due to some personal food limitations this week, I chose the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla (minus the bacon, peppers & onions). Incredibly cheesy and packed with chicken. The fries were perfectly crisp outside and soft inside. Minimal wait for it to be ready. I didn't hear anyone unhappy with their selections. This is near the top of my favorites list for the trucks we have had stop by.

Tucked away in Birmingham like a true hidden gem, A-Train Station brings the heat, the flavor, and the crispy goodness you didn't know you needed--until now. With great service and even greater wings. If you're chasing fantastic wings, look no further. These bad boys are perfectly crisp, packed with bold, juicy flavor, and leave you licking your fingers and contemplating a second round before you've even finished the first. But let's talk about the Cajun Ranch Cheese Fries--because whoa. They're not just good, they're next-level, "where have you been all my life?" good. Smothered, seasoned, cheesy, and unapologetically indulgent, they're the kind of side that steals the show (and your heart). The vibe? Low-key and unpretentious, but that's part of the charm. Good food. No fluff. A-Train Station doesn't need gimmicks--it lets the flavor do the talking. Wings that slap. Fries that live rent-free in your dreams. Worth the trip, every time If you're in Birmingham and craving soulful, satisfying, full-throttle flavor, hop on the A-Train. You won't regret it.

Everything thing was great .. I couldn't give 5 stars because my fries weren't hot. The rest was good , hot and perfectly seasoned. I also was pleased with the service as well.

The food was OK, but nothing great; I ordered the wings and fries. The food wasn't seasoned as much as it could have been.

So a few days ago I decided to try B&W Philly Steaks…read more So what I ordered was Buffalo wings, bacon cheese fries, and a lemonade. The buffalo wings were not mild at all like they had literally no heat whatsoever in fact the sauce was sweet which threw me off because on the menu it said Buffalo wings and I did not get that. The chicken was cooked well and seasoned decent but Buffalo wings they were not. The bacon cheese fries were just a salty salt on top of salt mess and maybe that was my fault for getting those but I've had bacon cheese fries before and have rarely came across that problem. Wouldn't order these again. The lemonade it was okay but it was clear there was no balance of sweet and sour with the lemon and sugar. They claim to make it fresh so whoever was in charge of making that batch that day was having a off day I guess idk. I know what you're thinking well it's a Philly steak place why did you order wings. Well someone said the wings was good and I wanted wings. However this place doesn't seem to have a real identity because they not only sell wings and Philly steaks but they also sell hibachi and seafood boils. Would I try this place again? Maybe but for now my rating is a 6/10. Center Point location.

It came with a slew on onions i mean you could smell the onions through the bag. They gave two cups of ranch. let me tell you they were not needed. the Cons: this was sort of a soup salad because it was swimming in ranch. also I would have assumed it would have the amount of meat that is on a sandwich, but not so, it needed more meat. The Pros: it was actually good after I picked out probably a whole medium onion & left a puddle of ranch in the bowl. Remarkably the lettuce was still crunchy. Believe it or not I would get this again with adjustments

Thankfully free parking was available. I walked in at the perfect time, just as the breakfast grill was shutting down and the lunch grill was heating up. I was 5 minutes pass breakfast, as told by the waitress. She was so kind and told me that she would ask, if they (he) could prepare a breakfast for me. The answer was yes, but no grits. Oh well, let's try the omelette and hash brows. I'm really not into hash browns but these were delicious! Crispy and perfectly round. The omelette was also good and fluffy. The coffee was a good robust cup of coffee. This is a real old school diner. Counter seats with a few booths to the side. No frills here. Decent diner food with great friendly service. By the time I finished my breakfast, the lunch crowd was starting to come in for a seat at the counter and booths. I heard someone say, this is the best Philly cheesesteak in the area. Anyways, this was a pleasant place to have a good simple meal with some awesome service. The only reason I'm not giving 5* is because of not being able to get the grits, which was my fault for not getting there a little sooner. I will definitely come back.

We started with the baked feta dip, and as always, you can't go wrong--it arrived still bubbling at the table and was absolutely delicious. I was surprised that I had to ask more than once for money that belonged to me, and even more surprised that she completely disregarded me. I'm a decent tipper... the tip that I would have given would have been better. So, the money isn't the issue, it's the principle of the situation. Customers should not be put in the uncomfortable position of having to insist on receiving the money they are owed. The interaction left me with a very negative impression of the restaurant. This was my first and now last time visiting the restaurant.
