Claire, the owner, is extremely welcoming and kind. Water, tea, little snacks are available to satisfy our human needs. I start to relax as soon as I see her. Now to her offerings: check out the menu of services. My favorite combination is the one hour massage with a facial afterwards. This allows Claire to focus on my body massage for the hour and then my facial completes the healing. Now to the experience. Claire is a little bit of heaven. I told her that everyone's version of heaven is different. Mine is having her complete a massage and then starting all over again. There is simply no one to compare to Claire. And if you have had a personal trauma in your life, Claire is an accomplished Reiki practitioner and an overall healer. She can clear your chakras and transform your trauma, though it may take more than one session as it did me. Do you have fibromyalgia or another autoimmune disease that is persistent and painful?     First of all, the booking process was extremely easy and the website was very informative…read more I received a gift card last year for my birthday and with my chaotic schedule did not get to use it over the course of a whole year. They still accepted my gift card and thankfully so as I decided to go for some relaxation and skin preparation for my wedding. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful and relaxing. The woman at the front desk was extremely kind and answered any questions I had about anything. She was super sweet! She literally walked me backed explaining their process because it was my first time being there. Everything was clean and clozy and they have a waiting room outside the immaculate bathroom with multiple, private showers and very homey-feeling restrooms (it's a whole room with a door that fully closes - no stalls or anything of that nature) and even little benches in the bathroom so you can rest your belongings there. After changing into my luxurious soft robe and slippers (think croc material, good for cleaning) I waited in the relaxation room before being individually called by my esthetician/therapist. She walked me to my individual room, complete with a sink, massage table, another bench, plenty of hooks and closets for their supplies so they do not leave throughout the treatment, except to get you a glass of water at the end . She explained everything to me and inquired about my routine and skin type and kept politely checking to make sure I was comfortable throughout the experience. My therapist was Jada Lynne and although I selected "any therapist", I was very happy with her approach, kindness and informative knowledge that I will definitely select her on purpose next time. From the facial to the lower legs and feet treatment PLUSH arm and hand massage I felt EXTREMELY relaxed as I lead a busy lifestyle and that is sometimes hard for me, I was very thankful for the good vibes and peace she radiated. As she led me back to the relaxation room after the Tranquilty Signature Facial I felt so relaxed and honestly a little disoriented in a good way. I rarely treat myself to anything and this was just that, a real treat. I sat for a few minutes, drinking water and tea while soaking up the relaxation and did not feel rushed at all, by anyone at any time. Everyone was so nice and they have a beautiful selection of merchandise/skin care/natural little odds and ends in their lobby as well. Thank you Tranquility Wellness Spa, I will definitely be back very soon! Although I live Easton, the experience and service I received will keep me coming back for more!

    I am incredibly upset with this business. I just purchased a Groupon for my 10 year wedding…read moreanniversary. I was married on 5/31/2015 so I bought a couples coupon for 5/31/2025 on Groupon. I spent $132.00 for it. I then called to schedule our couples massage and the owner/employee said "You can't use your Groupon for the weekend" and I kindly explained that this is the day of my anniversary. I then even offered to bring in the coupon and pay the remainer (full price) in cash. For a brief moment I thought she agreed to this but I was mistaken. She started throwing out dates in June ... and July .. for me to come in to use the coupon. I then said " I genuinely am just looking to schedule a massage. I don't want any trouble" because I could sense this was spinning and spiraling. She again stated the "coupon is for the weekdays only". I hung up and tried to cancel my Groupon order. I was able to cancel the order, but now I'm stuck with 'Groupon bucks' instead of getting a refund to my card. What an AWFUL 30 minutes. This was so unnecessary and I'm not going to use Groupon again. You know why? These business owners are resentful and angry at customers who buy them. If you don't want to provide the same level of service to a customer buying Groupon, then DONT CONTRACT with them. It's not fair to punish hard working and sincere people looking to save a few bucks.

He had the voucher on his phone and i printed it out for him at his retirement party. He scheduled an appointment not once but twice and was turned away. they didn't even try to call and verify the redemption code at all. Very callous, rude and unprofessional. I'm reporting them to Groupon and working on a refund!

    I was a former employee here of less than a year back in 2014. Plus the spa looked cute!…read more I liked the owner initially because of Eastern European roots and giving me a chance to work fresh out of massage school.... The actual experience working for the owner was dreadful. She her staff fill out I-9s for taxes, so all hours worked and wages should have been to staff and payment was supposed to be every 2 weeks. This didn't happen. She would long texts about needing staff to wait to deposit checks because she had to pay her bills. She would constantly text staff to cash our checks instead. The few linens provided in the treatments rooms were always mildew smelling or just dirty looking. I constantly brought all my sheets, essential oils, lubricants and room decor whenever I had hours for her. I should have left sooner! I just walked out and left. She later accused me of stealing her sheets (easily could prove they were mine from massage school because my name was on them) and her less than stellar body oils. This was laughable. I actually did leave the $5 Walmart clock I used there. Would not recommend this business to fellow massage therapists or future clients. I doubt he is still working for Irena, but the only reason person I could recommend as a good massage therapist is someone named David Banks. He's the only reason I stayed at Cloud 9 as long as I did. I learned a lot about massage therapy and the industry from him. Very surprised to see this place is still open for her treatment of staff and clients. It was a huge group on place. After working for this owner, I went on to work at a wonderful business called By the Sea Day spa in Branford, they actually moved into a larger place on the green in East Haven. Seriously recommend everyone go there! I would still be there had I not moved out of state in 2017. Cloud 9 = 0 By the sea day spa= 100 I don't know how to give a review a partial 1 star but that's what it is. At least working for this owner gave me experience!

    FIVE STARS (for the therapist only)…read more I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at the Massage Envy in Milford, CT -- specifically with how the front desk and membership policies are handled. First and foremost, my therapist Joan is absolutely amazing. She is kind, professional, and truly talented at what she does. I will genuinely miss my sessions with her, and it's unfortunate that situations like this hurt therapists who are doing everything right. Due to a financial hardship following a car accident (which is also the reason I've been receiving massage therapy), I needed to reduce my membership. I was told I could place my account on a 3-month freeze and still use my accrued sessions by paying $20 instead of the regular $80. I agreed. Because it's so close to the holidays and money is tight, my card didn't go through when they attempted to charge me a second time in the same month. When I called to understand why, I was told the $20 charge on 12/14 applied to November, and now another $20 was being charged on 12/22 for December. While I can understand the explanation, it does not change the reality that I simply don't have extra funds available right now. I asked if I could cancel my membership and be reimbursed for the services I've already paid for. I was then told my account is on suspension and that nothing can be done until I pay the additional $20. So essentially, I'm being told that to access or recover services and funds I've already purchased, I must first pay more money toward an account I'm trying to cancel. To make matters worse, the manager was not in today. The front desk associate told me she would send an email explaining the situation and that the manager would call me tomorrow. How is it that there is not a manager readily available, the way there is at virtually any retail or service-based business -- especially when dealing with billing disputes and hardship situations like this? This entire experience has been absolutely ridiculous, inflexible, and incredibly frustrating. The lack of compassion and proper management completely overshadows the quality of the actual massage services. Experiences like this drive loyal clients away and unfairly impact the therapists who work so hard and genuinely care about their clients.
