I went to this karaoke bar for my friend's birthday celebration, and while it turned out to be a fun night overall, a few fixes could make it perfect. The Good: Once you're inside, it's absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous lighting, vibrant atmosphere, and an excellent karaoke setup with tons of song options- we sang our hearts out for hours. The food was meh (nothing fancy), and the overall experience was enjoyable for our group of 12+. The Not-So-Good: * Impossible to find: No signs anywhere! From the street, it looks like a plain bank lol total confusion until we got in. * Cold reception: Staff at check-in were a bit frosty. * Silly alcohol policy: They denied drinks to our entire group because one person forgot their ID. Even after we showed IDs for everyone else? Come on Despite those hiccups, I'd go back for the karaoke magic alone. Just add some signage and be more flexible with IDs! read more

I came here with a group of over 30 people during their Happy Hour time on a Sunday afternoon. The Happy Hour ran from 3pm to 8pm and it cost us $13 after tax and tips and it came with a free non-alcoholic beverage of your choice. The KTV bar was located at the 2nd floor at the Dundas/Spadina intersection. I was lingering around at the bottom for a good 10 minutes trying to find the stairs, because the signs were really confusing. Some people were also having trouble getting on the elevator when they did end up finding the correct entrance, because they would only unlock the elevator at 3pm when they open and taking the stairs won't lead you in. I liked the ambiance of the place, really cool decor and lighting. Our suite came with a private bathroom, which was definitely a plus. However, I didn't like their KTV equipments as much. I didn't quite like the menu that they use to select the songs and the search function was so broken that it was basically non-existent. I heard from my friends that their Chinese songs aren't very up to date. Also, one of the two mics that we were given didn't work properly, as it was very staticy and would random die in the middle of singing. We tried to ask them to change the battery but it still didn't help. Overall, this is still a solid KTV bar and I mean you can't really go wrong with that kind of pricing -- only $13 for 5 hours of fun. My friends and I were here during Happy Hour. It is around $13 plus tax per person from hours between 3pm-8pm, and comes with free drinks. The music selection was pretty good- obviously I didn't expect any songs from the last month to be there, but they had some recent songs from the last few months so it was good. Definitely spacious enough for three people to sing. Some downsides were that it took FOREVER for the drinks to come, even when we called by pressing the button. As well, they won't split the bill. I had to leave early and wanted to pay for my portion but they told me the bill couldn't be split. Honestly, I was looking at the regular prices and in my opinion, it is definitely more worth it if you come during Happy Hour. read more

It is a small door at back of the National Bank, and you have to take elevator to 2nd floor. We got around 30 people and we got 3 rooms. The rooms are pretty clean, and the place is pretty clean in general. It gets touch screen to order songs and the system is in both English and Chinese. However, some waiters don't speak English and the English songs have less variety. Nevertheless, it get all the Chinese songs I want to sing. This place is a nightmare. I've been reading the reviews, and I think the key is not to go with anymore than four people because the more people you have the more terrible service becomes. Where to begin? A bouncer at the door of a karaoke bar is absurd. You're a karaoke bar, not a happening nightclub. I only say this because get ready to wait forever as the dude loves to take his time, and give you a hard time. The staff is horrendous. Insanely unprofessional. Firstly, they hardly speak English, and secondly they just chill on their phones and when you're asking a question they literally pay zero attention to you then go "HUH?" because they're too busy paying attention to their phone and not to you. The payout for a large room is $400. So you need to spend $400 in food and drinks to cover the cost of renting the room. Fair. They try to sell you on buying a bottle for $150, but again, THIS IS A KARAOKE BAR, NOT A NIGHTCLUB. I kept telling them nobody wants a bottle because everyone is drinking different liquor. It was my girlfriend's 30th birthday and her uncle wanted to put $200 into the tab to pay down the tab of the room and they said "no, you need to buy it in food and drinks". They straight up rejected $200. Still can't wrap my head around that. Also a heads up, they automatically add a tip to anything you buy (and don't tell you). The karaoke machine in the room is thee WORST. You'll spend a solid 15 minutes trying to figure out how to find the song/artist you're looking for (and I promise it won't be on there because the entire catalog is Chinese and Taylor Swift). Anyways, terrible experience. I can't get over that staff. Makes me fume that the guys working can actually run an establishment. Good luck if you go. A very nice karaoke place, and being a big karaoke fan i have pretty much hit every one in the city and know the pros and cons. This place is great if you have a large group and want the massive room with great lighting but the last time me and my friends did an event here the sound was just really really bad. Also the song machine caters more to the asian crowd so is very confusing to use, once you get the hang it makes more sense but the staff here barely speak english so asking them is a lost cause. However the song choice is really bad, i can list dozens of classics which should be at any karaoke place that were not here. Price wise for a large room there is no flat charge but the minimum spend is $250 which when you have a group of 20-30 should be easy to meet. read more

Pretty expensive but the set up is nice. Rooms are spacious and well lit. Able to accommodate a group of 6 last minute. Sound wasn't an issue this time but has been in the past. Many of the songs aren't true karaoke tracks but the actual song (wih artists voice) that you sing over. The staff can be kind of rude, but that may be because they don't all speak English- in particular the security guy wearing the fake bullet vest is pretty abrasive. Song selection is really limited if you're an English speaker. Missing several key songs and the system is hard to figure out. Booked a room for four people on a Saturday afternoon. Their happy hours are between 3pm - 8pm (I think?) on Saturdays and it's super cheap! Got there at 3pm, no one was there. More and more people filed in, waiting, waiting, waiting... by about 3:30pm, it was finally open. Well, I guess for that price, you can't really complain about waiting a bit? Just a note, the elevator doesn't work unless the KTV is open. The decor was very nice and the room itself was decent. Chinese song selections were very good, songs for other languages were lacking. The service was satisfactory, wasn't sure if we could order food, drinks were definitely available! The microphones are a bit tricky, if you keep turning it off and on, you'll hear singing from other rooms, it was the strangest thing! Just keep the microphones on! I don't usually write reviews, but I had my worst KTV experience at this place. The place itself was decent but the service was not. It was my first time there and definitely was my last. First of all, the elevator was not work and the entrance was difficult to find, ok that's not their fault. We approached one of the servers who looked like the most friendly one there, she gave us a room number and told us to go down the hall to the right. Immediately I thought to myself, this is different from other KTVs, usually the servers lead you into the room, and turn everything on for you, maybe the machines in that room is already set up. So we thanked her and went just as directed. What did we find? Everything locked up and TV off, after trying with no results, I had to go find the server who was clearly annoyed. He ended up using the KEY to open the cupboard, they clearly know it's closed and still sent us here alone. I asked him if we get free non-alcoholic drinks, he nodded, and we ordered ice tea. After 30 minutes of wait, what did we get? Tap water with ice. WTF? My boyfriend went to the server and asked them about it, they said they didn't have it, what? No ice tea, then what do you have, Boss KTV?? AND at least have the decency to tell us that you don't have it, instead of changing our order to tap water. I was truly astounded by their service. Conclusion? Choose another KTV or go at your own risk. read more

Came here on a Saturday night with a large group of about 20 people - first thing to mention is the decor in the room was gorgeous! A lot of karaoke places are outdated now in their rooms, as you will usually end up in a room that has sticky floors, scratched tables and questionable booth-like seats - that is not the case with this place. When we walked into our room, everyone was impressed by the cleanliness of it, the colourful lighting and the beautiful mirrored walls etched with chic decals. Also, in addition to the regular two wireless microphones you get, there was also a retro-style standing microphone and mini stage platform (for those who prefer to let loose their vocals and look like a rockstar while doing so), along with two massive flatscreen TVs mounted on the wall. Room service was quick and efficient, as our server brought in all the necessary karaoke apparatus (glasses, countless bottles of beer, dice game items) while we were still getting setttled in the room. The drinks menu was a little bit pricier than what I have seen at uptown karaoke spots, but I noticed my long island ice tea came in a massive glass cup so the portion did make up for the price. Room service was also consistent and prompt throughout the evening. Song selection was vast - they had a great selection of new and old Chinese songs as well as a satsifying collection of English songs. No complaints about the sound system either, as you are fully in control of all aspects of the sound. As a matter of fact, we noticed that we can control everything in the room (including the mood lighting of the room that came with a lot of options) from a few touchscreens they had mounted on the walls across the room. Song selection and ordering room service are also done using the touchscreens. Overall, if you are downtown and looking for a new karaoke place to try, I definitely recommend this place. read more

We rented a room for $128 for two hours 8pm to 10pm, which I think it's fairly expensive. And drinks weren't included. We ordered a grey goose vodka mix that costs $48. But hardly taste any alcohol. Love the over-the-top decor and the hilarious audience audio effect system in this place! Happy hour was only $10 from 3pm to 8pm, including a non-alcoholic drink, what an amazing deal! Little downside was that the song selection control is a monitor screen installed on eye-level of the wall by the TV, so we had to stand by it to select songs.
