I've been wanting to try LOUIX LOUIS for the longest time, so when the opportunity came up to visit during Summerlicious, I knew I had to finally check it out. Located on the 31st floor of the St. Regis Hotel, the restaurant has an incredible atmosphere. The dining room is absolutely stunning with a classy and luxurious feel, but it still feels comfortable and inviting rather than too formal. We started the evening with cocktails before moving into the Summerlicious menu. I ordered the "I Only Drink When I Smoke," which was a great way to start the night. It had a subtle smoky flavour with a touch of sweetness, and the alcohol was not overpowering at all. It was smooth, easy to sip on, and the perfect drink to enjoy while having conversations. For my Summerlicious menu, I started with the Tartare de Boeuf and Caviar. The filet mignon tartare was fresh and really smooth, with a nice balance of rich and savoury flavours. The toasted bread also gave it a nice crunch and paired really well with the tartare. For the main course, I had the Roasted Chateaubriand Filet. When the plate was served, the meat looked really rare as I saw nothing but red on the meat, but it was incredibly tender, making it easy to cut through. It was full of flavour, and the sauce complemented the steak without being too heavy or salty. The vegetables added a nice balance to the dish, and the creamy mashed potatoes were smooth, and definitely one of my favourite parts of the meal. To finish, I had the Mango Passionfruit Cheesecake. It was creamy without feeling too heavy. Though the fruity flavours from the mango passionfruit were a bit tart and sweet for my palate, it still gave an overall refreshing touch. The crust added a nice texture, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. Beyond the food, what really stood out was the service and pacing of the evening. Each course arrived at the right time, allowing us to enjoy every dish without feeling rushed. The price point is definitely on the higher end, so it is not somewhere I would personally visit for a casual dinner on a regular basis. However, for a special occasion, celebration, or a night where you want to enjoy a beautiful dining experience, I think Louix Louis would be a great choice... and for $75/ person for Summerlicious/ Winterlicious, definitely a great value to sample the chefs' artistry. Overall, it was a memorable evening with an elegant atmosphere, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and great service. My boyfriend took me here for our anniversary and it was memorable to say the least. This restaurant is located in upstairs on the 31st floor of the St. Regis hotel. Coming in, it felt very luxurious. To be honest I was a little nervous because I came in feeling out of place as it is not somewhere I would eat casually, but the waitress that assisted us was so kind! We came strictly for cake as we had eaten right before, but we took a peek at the winterlicious menu, and the prices looked super affordable! We ordered the cake and yes, it maybe just be a tall slice of cake, but it was moist and decadent and probably my favourite cake. Our server understood we were only there for the cake. It was brought out not too long after we ordered. It was ultimately a good cake. However, I was glad I rescheduled to an earlier lunch time as the duck confit was already sold out by 12:30 pm. I saw multiple people at other tables were disappointed with the selections left. I was surprised that the cheeseburger was also sold out pretty early as well. That being said, the serviwas really friendly and accommodating. I have been wanting to try this place for so long and finally had the opportunity. I was a bit nervous because I've heard people on TikTok say it was overrated, but I completely disagree. It just goes to show why it is so important to try things for yourself. It's not that other people's opinions don't matter, but you can really miss out on great things if you don't form your own. Good or bad, you have to experience it firsthand. I loved the staff and how attentive they were. They really went out of their way to make sure our visit was enjoyable. I really enjoyed the drinks and thought the tartare de boeuf was excellent. It was my first time trying it and it won't be my last because it was so flavorful. I also had the cowboy steak which was excellent with a side of lobster mashed potatoes. The lobster was so buttery and delicious, and the King's Cake was everything. I actually enjoyed it more than my friends did, which just proves that everyone has different tastes. All in all, we had an amazing dinner and made great memories. Had a little bit of trouble finding this place that was short walk from King station, and then up the hotel elevator. All the dishes were really well made and the place was very beautiful, and the staff were attentive ! It got quite busy in the restaurant as the night went on which surprised us as it was almost empty when we got there. We got bread, beef wellington, salmon, and scallops! We had brought a cake because it was our anniversary, but was notified that there is a cake cutting fee so we decided against it when it was time for dessert. However, they still stored it in the fridge for us, and brought it out for us to take photos with , which was really thoughtful! Staying at the St Regis and it was bitter cold in TO so decided to give this place a try for dinner. Our server was polished and efficient. Started with the Brioche and it came with the best maple butter I've ever tasted. I could eat this butter on a piece of wood! Followed up with huge Newfoundland oysters. So fresh! Truffle chicken and lobster salad were extremely tasty and the brussel sprouts are a must get. Terrific and reasonably priced wine list as well. Only negative is that restaurants of this caliber and price point should give you an amuse bouche before dinner or little chocolates after dinner. If you're going to charge for bread, it seems like the right thing to do. This one doesn't. I would definitely go back next time I'm back in town. read more

I've been here a couple of times both for regular menu in the winter and summer time drinks. This time, went on the first day of Winterlicious around 5:30 pm and it was already quite busy. You go to 31st floor, the space itself is beautiful, definitely a vibes and Instagram pics place aka girls night. The bar area in particular is great for photos, though I'd recommend going on a weekday closer to 5 pm if you want it less crowded. There were corporate people on Friday, as well as girl groups and double dates. Dinner for winterlicious was $75 pp. For apps we had the squash velouté which is a soup, and the foie gras was rich (almost too rich by the end, but still enjoyable). For mains, the duck confit was good, while the braised short ribs were just okay and not as flavourful as expected. Desserts were on the sweeter side, the petite king's cake and LOUIX LOUIS cheesecake cake were both quite sweet, and we didn't end up finishing them. Service was quick and accommodating despite how busy it was. Overall, this is a great spot for the ambiance and city views, and it would work especially well for larger birthday dinners or group celebrations, they have an upstairs private space that can be reserved. If going, I recommend their regular menu rather than the Winterlicious offerings. read more

Chef Luigi curated a wonderful menu with options for me and hubby ordered off the regular menu. He had oysters and steak. I had a beautifully dressed pear and walnut salad with a tempeh and vegetable entree. For dessert they made a fantastic vegan, gluten free brownie with sorbet and berries. I was totally stuffed! The restaurant is on the 31st floor so you should have a nice south west facing view. The service was a rather disappointing for the price point of the restaurant. Our water was constantly being refilled (perhaps since it was $9 a bottle). Our table was brushed off once between bread and appetizers but not before entrees? Bread + butter - Maybe we came by late, but bread was a bit underwhelming. Butter visibly had herbs in it, but did not have much flavouring. The interior of the bread was fluffy, but dry a bit disappointing... Burrata - My favourite cheese, a melange of textures and pairs well as a salad and a sweet fruity dressing. Lettuce was excellent, fresh and crunchy. Burrata was great and fresh! The addition of nuts added a crunchy texture as well. Would recommend. Foie gras - On its own the seared foie gras isn't for everyone, including myself. It had a nice buttery mouthfeel, but had an innards aftertaste. It was good after spreading it ontop of the brioche toast and strawberry jam. Not for everyone. King salmon - King salmon came sitting ontop of a lake of black lentils. The Lentils themselves were dry, but had a good texture. The tomato paste was excellent and saved the lentils from the lack of flavour. The salmon itself was cooked beautifully. crispy on the top and cooked just right on the inside. the top was overly salted, but the tomato paste once again saved the dish. cheese cake - The ratio between jam to cheese to crust was my favourite I've ever seen. Unfortunately, I did not like the jam as it was too tart for me. The white chocolate on the side did help with this. Nice to try, would not get again. This time finally they update their menu. We tried the waygu short ribs and king salmon. Waygu short rib is about 6-7oz, braised over many hours to make it tender. King salmon with lentil is another delicious entrée. Finally we ended up something different for the dessert as well! They have the cheesecake. We reserved half of the LOUIX Louis for approx 50 on Sunday for the tea service on Nov 30, 2025. We worked with an event organizer who was very eager to assist and helpful but it took many corrections to confirm details - nevertheless she was great to work with and I thought all details were ironed out. The servers on the day of the event were also exceptionally kind and accommodating even recognizing the challenge of such a large group. Being the host, I was most interested to impress everyone with such a posh venue and hoped for impeccable food and service. My first disappointment was they tried to have me and my guests leave by 5pm although we had the space until 530PM and at that point we were quickly ushered out for their dinner service. Later, I heard from numerous guests that they did not receive hot water for their tea so did not have the high tea service at all , some did not receive any savoury items on their tea tiers and some had their food and drink removed while still eating. This caused me great disappointment and embarrassment but as it was after the fact, I sent an email to the managers and organizers at the St Regis. I received no response whatsoever. I hoped for so much more at this price point and with the posh reputation of this venue. I am thankful for their staff but somewhere along that way many things fell apart. I spent nearly 9000$ that night and I expected better and feel very let down by the service but mostly the lack of acknowledgement afterwards. read more

My friend and I decided to check out this place for a late lunch. This place is located in the fancy shmancy St. Regis hotel. I expected nothing but perfection and class. Not surprised, we were easily the youngest people there. The hostess & server were very nice and seated us in the middle of their dining area. The interior is absolutely stunning! My chair was basically a couch which was a little difficult to move but super comfortable. The menu: the lunch menu is pretty dry. There aren't many options that jump out. There is the basic fish, burger and steak. I was a little disappointed at the lack of options. I settled for branzino and my friend got a wagyu burger. The food: the food was small portions compared to the hefty price we paid. Again, there was nothing extra ordinary in what we ate. The drinks: expect to pay around $20+ per cocktail. This menu was pretty exciting and my drink tasted fabulous. My friend unfortunately did not share the same experience as the beer he had selected wasn't available. Turns out they only carry mass produced basic beers. Shocking for a fine dining place like this. The dessert: we didn't get any! The famous cake is priced at $37 and we decided it was not worth it. But hey, do it up for the gram, there is no judgement here. I'll likely be back just for the cake! Looked like a meal in itself. Our total came down to $70-$80/person after tax and tip. For lunch, that is a lot. Especially for the food we ate. I wouldn't recommend this for food, definitely come here for a drink, or two. Maybe even get that cake. read more

The good: Service was stellar from start to finish. Very polite and smart. We indicated we were splitting apps, and they pre-emptively split both into separate servings for us. The bread and butter were also tasty. The french fries were the tastiest thing of the evening and cooked perfectly. The good is why they don't have 1*. This place also looks absolutely stunning. The ok: the caesar salad had good flavours but the croutons were not as crispy and fresh as they should be (the in between stage of crisp and stale, which is unacceptable for the supposed caliber of this restaurant). The duck dumpling in the duck dish was also well seasoned. the meh: I cannot believe we got that green wakame salad from Costco in the lobster bisque. The bisque itself was good though a bit too spicy. The duck leg was dry, but the flavour was okay. the bad: dry, over-salted burger. Gritty, yet runny mac and cheese (very impressive -- one of the two alone would already be a failed mac, and they managed to do both). read more

My wife and I were having a baby moon. We were new to the area. We were recommended this place from a friend for dessert and the service was spectacular. We had the King's cake and two of their mocktails. Drinks were vibrant, unique and complimented the cake really well. The dessert is intimidating and tasted great. The highlight was those who served us. Maryam and Eće did a FANTASTIC job in taking care of us and added to our enjoyment of the evening with fun and their delightful smiles. They knew we were exploring other places to eat and went above and beyond - placing a booking at another great establishment a mile away - Lee restaurant. They served us up and we've had a terrific time there as well. They really made our night better. Couldn't ask for anything more. Great service, great place, and great people!
