High quality bakery with pizza, sandwiches, pastries, salads, and bagels. Normally eat gluten free, but had a regular bagel and it had that dreamy chewy texture with a crusty outside. Had with their house cream cheese and it's so much better than store bought. Husband had the orange chocolate scone which had that bright orange flavor and managed to be moist for a scone. Pizza was 4/5 per his report. 3 items was only $13 so it's fairly affordable as well. Lots of seating, although we came at noon and it was very full. Service was as expected for this type of place. Thanks!!

BEST EVER PIZZA, and pastries. Service is always so fast and yes just long enough to make freshly baked goods. The place is just what you need on a bad day to make it better. Everything there is industrial and yet it feels so homey.

Probably the best pizza in town you've never heard of. My favorite is the bee. The ambiance isn't really suited for dining in or a date, but there are plenty of great locations to eat outside once you order. It's not a place where you go to get dined on.

I don't want to say that crust makes the loaf, but I totally agree with another reviewer that they have mastered a firm crust that you can actually use your bread knife to cut through. Beyond that, the flavors of their rye breads are incredible! We got two different ones, and they were both distinctly different in texture and density, yet made a wonderful sandwich base. We visited them at the Kootenai farmers market, and they had a line that stretched for 30 yards. I asked a nice lady in front of me what I should look for, and she told me what ever they had left lol!

While downtown I wanted a sandwich at a new place. I looked up and found Back Pocket Bakery. I couldn't find it at first but was surprised to see that it was right next to the bike shop that I frequent but had never noticed it. The place looks nice and homey, though devoid of plants which usually adds to homeyness. I was on the phone when I ordered but the kind server was very perceptive and interpreted my pointing and hand motions quite well. I ordered The Deli despite thinking $16 was too much for a sandwich. When the sandwich came to my table, I was quite surprised to see how hardy it was. It had a lot of ingredients, was big and I could only eat half. It's a perfect sandwich to share. It was delicious. The bread was oh so fresh and delicious perfectly complimenting the meat veggies and sauce inside. I'll definitely order it again. Finding the bathroom is a trip as the diner walks through a mini kitchen, not in use by the staff, before finding it. My biggest wish for this place is that they would offer a half size sandwich for when it's only you and you have only $10 in your pocket or looking for something on a budget. The server was very friendly and seemed happy to grab a to-go box for me. My son enjoyed the second half at home and wants to go there as well. A solid place to eat! I'll be back.

Fresh bread, incredible looking wood fired pizzas, and Mexican coke! Perfect lunch spot while your exploring coeur d Alene

I love this place. I can tell they use good ingredients in their bread because I never get a stomach ache after eating here. Their pizza is amazing, my favorite pizza in town. They have delicious pretzel bread that is always sold out too. If you come later in the day, don't expect them to have a full stock of bread, as they often run out quickly. The employees are always nice and quick with the orders too.

My friends and I picked up sandwiches (meatball for them and deli for myself) and they were delicious!! The bread was so fresh. My deli sandwich had the perfect ratio of condiments, meat, cheese and lettuce. I subbed turkey for the ham and it was thickly sliced and delicious. Loved the pickle on the side. Will definitely be back to try their bagels and pizza... and cookies! Everything looked amazing!

Pretty good food. Kind of pricy for what you get, but it definitely was worth trying.

Great pizzas and sandwiches. I do wish they had a little more seating. But overall would recommend this little hidden gem.

It was our first time at this location and loved how big and spacious the inside dining area was. I've been hooked on their Mac & Cheese lately and went with that and my roommate, to no surprise, got the half Meatball Sub. My Mac & Cheese was brought over literally right out the oven! It was so hot, cheesy, and scrumptious. The breadstick was baked just right and perfect to scoop off the cheese sauce from the sides of the bowl. My roommate said the taste and consistency between the 2 stores was pretty spot on and enjoyed his sub. The ladies working were nice and friendly. I really like that they have sanitizing wipes available near the trash area. I know places get busy, so it's really nice to have the opportunity to wipe off a table if given the ability to do. Now that I know it's here, we'll definitely be back!

They give you a number to put on your table so they can bring your food out to you when it's ready. They give you your drinks at the counter when you pay. I opted to try one of the hard ciders they have on tap. It was Tieton Cider Works Blackberry Cider and it was very good. We ordered two specialty pizzas to share. We opted for the Smokehouse and the Vinny pizzas. I really liked the smokehouse BBQ sauce combined with the pineapple and chicken. The sweetness was very tasty. The Vinny had a good mix of meats with black olives. I preferred the smokehouse, but my dinner mates seemed to really like the meaty Vinny. I would likely stop in again when I'm in the area and looking for a casual environment with good drinks and tasty food.

It was ok. Not worth $17. Then they ran out of blue cheese crumbles and ran to the store. Sadly to say I never got them which might have added to the taste of the salad given it was supposed to come with them. We waited a very long time for our salads. And a very long time for the bill which I thought the might credit a dollar or two due to running out of blue cheese. But no. Just an apology. Indoor eating is very loud. So be prepared. Also the bathroom had no hand towels to dry my hands. Sorry to be disappointed. It might have been an off day as it seems pretty popular.

Cheerfully greeted and {as I was with a "walker" because of my recent hip replacement surgery} she suggested if I wanted a lower table it would be toward the back. She gave me a menu then momentarily disappeared to get me a room temperature water (delightful) and then we discussed the menu. I then ordered with her suggestions and waited. Not too very long thereafter, my lunch arrived - a lovely surprising portion, colorful, well presented and exactly as I was hoping for. The parmesan halibut addition to my seasonal salad (which BTW is not current on their website but my variation was DELISH) was tasteful and moist. The kale based salad was dressed in a cranberry vinaigrette, but I'd asked for a side of Bleu Cheese as well (my weakness, especially if it's a delightful house made version as this was). I only ate half & took the rest home, as it was large enough for two meals - and @ a price point which was reasonable for this day & age! I didn't bother to have them remake it and paid for an un-edible meal but asked her what could I have done differently she said tell us about your allergies and I was like, well I did. I told you I don't eat butter and the cornbread still arrived with the biggest slab of butter I've ever seen. Like wtf? Disappointing. But I will say the pickled vegetables were amazing! 10/10

I don't say this lightly: this might be **the best Philly cheesesteak I've ever had in my life**…read more From the moment it came out, you could smell the sizzling steak and melted cheese before even taking the first bite. The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside but still soft and pillowy inside, holding everything together without falling apart. The steak was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, chopped just right so every bite had the perfect balance of meat, cheese, and bread. And the cheese... perfectly melted into the steak so it coated every bite instead of just sitting on top. That first bite was one of those moments where you pause for a second because it's just *that good*. By the halfway point I was already thinking about when I could come back for another one. I love "Mom" who is always friendly and fun to talk to while waiting. Please keep in mind each sandwich is made to order so please anticipate a little wait BUT WORTH EVERY minute of it. If you're a Philly cheesesteak fan, this place is absolutely worth the trip. Bold statement, but this sandwich sets the bar.

Of course, he went with the classic cheese steak to see what their original was like before delving into the other specialty ones they offer. I ordered the Dirty Hippie, which has no meat--double portions of both mushrooms and grilled onions, jalapenos, cheddar cheese and ranch on a fresh baked roll. For my sweet tooth, I also got a "Pop's brownie." The Dirty Hippie to me tasted pretty much like a cheese steak, but with no meat. So, they did do a good job of mimicking a real cheese steak. It was super hot, cheese was melted, and definitely noticed the double portion of veggies. The grilled onions had a good taste, however, they were really long and stringy, which reminded me of string spaghetti lol. Sandwich can get a little messy, prepare yourself with some napkins, and don't let it sit or it'll get soggy from the juices. My roommate thought his cheese steak was average, not bad but not the best he's ever had either. Pop's brownie was chocolatey and moist and a great way to end a flavorful lunch. The shack is located in a convenient spot and the lot has ample parking. Service was great. The woman helping us was friendly and even gave me a frequent buyer punch card since I told her it was my first time there. Fyi, Monday's are double punch days! I'm a cash-type of person anyway, but bring cash if you don't want to be charged $1 to use your card.
