What a great experience! We NEEDED to do something because wild pigs were tearing up our front yard. We tried repelling the pigs by other means, but nothing was working and every day our yard was getting more torn up. Based on Yelp reviews, I called BC Fence for a quote. I was contacted quickly by Eddie from BC. He came out and answered questions and measured and put a quote in my hand before leaving. I called another company for a quote as well just to feel like I was being responsible. Their price was about the same but their warranty was only 1 year verses 20 years with BC. We live in an area that has a very strict HOA. After filling out the necessary application for improvement, We learned that the review process can take up to 30 days! I had already agreed to have Eddie put us on the schedule since we were very motivated to complete the fence sooner rather than later, and by then BC already had the yard surveyed for underground utility lines, so this news was not welcome. I called Eddie to let him know their may be an issue with our project start date. He's been doing construction and project management for a lot of years so he's got lots of experience and it turns out, he also knows people! He made calls to an HOA contact as well as their architect and shortly thereafter, we got a response from the HOA with permission to proceed, with "stipulations" ... We were planning for a 4ft wrought iron fence to match the back yard fencing. The HOA wanted a section of the front yard not to exceed 3ft AND, they wanted stone columns to match the house not more than every 50ft. Eddie came back out, answered questions, measured, and updated the quote with a significant price break on the newly required masonry work. There were a couple of rain days but the masonry went up right away and a few days later the fence was completed and it looks awesome! During the construction, a piece of pipe for the sprinkler system got hit by a shovel, which can happen during this kind of work. I only mention this because if it happens to you, don't stress, they routinely repair that kind of thing without skipping a beat. So yeah, great experience. Everyone I interacted with from BC Fence was just good people. From management to the guys out there digging and welding, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience and the fence and masonry work make the house look beautiful. AND, no more pigs in the front yard! read more

I had a great experience with B. C. Fencing. We met with several contractors for the project, but felt that B. C. Fencing was the way to go. The project manager, Eddie, was quick to answer emails and calls concerning the project. He wanted to make sure we got everything we wanted and came by several times to check the status of the project. He put forth extra effort in our project, which was greatly appreciated! He applied for an amendment with the city (on our behalf) to get approval for the fence that we wanted. The envelope we wanted would be out of the realm of our HOA, so he lead the process to see what we could do about gaining approval. He came to the courthouse on 3 different occasions (that I know of, he probably went more than that) to advocate what we wanted. He did a great job representing us to the city, and working with city officials to find a middle ground. Although the city didn't approve the amendment I can say with certainly that no one tried harder to get it! We landed on a great solution with our fence that both we and the city would be happy with. Immediately following that, the fence went up! Within a week we were looking at our much anticipated project! We got a horizontal cedar fence with metal post, with wrought iron fence on the sides of the property that was by a road (originally wanted cedar everywhere but that's where we compromised with the city because we wanted to build on the property line). We love our fence! My favorite is definitely the cedar horizontal fence, if you're thinking about doing it--do it! It's beautiful and smells SO GOOD. December 3, 2021 After receiving and estimate and a no show from other companies, we made an appointment with B. C. Fence Company to come out and look at our fence needs and provide an estimate. The online reviews I read before I called were excellent and I am so very happy we chose this company to do the work. We received a call from Gregg, the project manager, who set up an appointment to come out and look at the job, provide options and an estimate. Gregg told us he would use metal posts, cemented in, three rails instead of two and cedar fence boards. We also wanted an additional gate on the other side of our property, so we added that to the job. He answered all of our questions and concerns. Our property slants down towards the back of the yard. We asked how we could keep our yard from going under the fence to our neighbors yard. He suggested a kick board which would prevent board rot and help keep the soil in our yard. He also answered questions for our neighbor behind and spent time chatting with him. Our neighbor was concerned about new sprinkler heads he had installed near the fence line. All heads were marked resulting in zero damage to the sprinklers. We have a good size yard so this was a big job. The installation crew was here for two days working late into the evening the first day. The Crew Lead, Henock, was very knowledgeable and spoke with us and the neighbors who share our fence. The entire crew worked hard and diligently and shared their smiles with us as we watched our yard transform. From the first call to the office to the job completion, everyone was courteous, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Bottom line: We highly recommend BC Fence to All! Thank you B. From the initial reply by Debbie after my first Yelp inquiry to Eddie coming by today to do a final walk-through with me, this process and this company have been phenomenal. Eddie is a fantastic project manager. First off, I just figured he would come by sometime when I wasn't home to measure and email me an estimate. Debbie explained that's not how they do things and that the face-to-face conversation is important to them. I knew I definitely needed one side of my fence replaced, but Eddie walked with me around the entire fence to discuss pros and cons of replacing the rest of it now vs later. He didn't hesitate to price out each section for me in the estimate, and there was no sales pitch or pressure whatsoever. He cares about and takes pride in what he does. I decided to go ahead and replace all of it - which is a huge financial commitment for me. But he made me feel comfortable that he and this company would take care of me. To top it off, the crew came a few days early and finished in two days! The crew was great and cleaned up after themselves and hauled off the old junk. Eddie came by this morning for a final walk-through and made sure I was completely satisfied with the work. It's a great feeling to be able to open my gate without a fight and know that the slightest wind won't knock the darn fence down, and the materials and work are impeccable. We just got our fence replaced by B.C. Fence and they did a very impressive job. We got many quotes and spoke to all of the top-rated Austin fence companies on Yelp and decided to go with B.C. for many reasons. It all started with the quote walkthrough with our project manager, Vince, who was not only professional and passionate about his job but was a genuinely really great guy and friendly person. The quote itself was competitive with the other companies we spoke with. What helped us decide on B.C was the pride in the quality of work they produce, the fact they could get it done quickly, and the fact that they didn't make us feel like just another check. They genuinely cared about the project and offered advice with any questions we had. The two men that came out to do the work were so nice, super professional, and very helpful with any questions or concerns we had. After spending weeks getting the runaround (and outrageous bids) from other fence companies, we worked with Vince and his crew on our project. After our initial call, he was out to evaluate the project within a few days at a day and time that aligned with our schedules. We wanted to get our recently purchased house correctly fenced for our pool. While the pool and the property had a fence, we knew it was not code compliant, but there were a number of possible solutions. Vince knew exactly what needed to be done, gave a very fair estimate within a couple days, and just a few weeks later (some understandable delay due to bad weather) we had all the modifications done as needed and the bonus is it looks even better than it did before! While they worked on the fence and gates (it took 2 days), they were very good about asking us whenever questions came up and were very flexible with our real time feedback. In fact, we had one gate which needed a swing direction change over a rock and concrete path. We were worried they weren't going to want to do this work because it meant jackhammering the path to lower the height by about 6 inches. Well, they not only did the work (for a very reasonable price), but also made it look much better than we expected! Overall, we were extremely happy with B. C. I recently finished the process of having my fence replaced. I located B.C. Fence on Yelp and was impressed with their track record of reviews. Throughout the entire process (initial call, estimate, figuring out exactly what I wanted, back for more estimates for some of my neighbors), Vince handled himself like a true professional. He was very knowledgeable, patient, flexible, personable, and just someone you'd like to work with on a project like this. I was very satisfied with the level of customer service he provided from start to finish. As for the job itself, I felt (after receiving several estimates and doing the research) that it was a very affordable and competitive price. Also, unlike other companies, they required NO DEPOSIT, Vince simply said that I would be responsible for payment once the job was completed and I was satisfied with the work. This attitude is rare! Furthermore, I am incredibly happy with the finished product! The entire job (mine and some of the neighbors) was completed in one day. Brett's Custom Fencing has done a great job, fixing the royal screw-up Viking fences back in 2015. I wish I had listened to my gut the 1st time. I have been dealing with issue after issue ever since Viking installed the fence. They tell you a great story about how they're going to dig a deep hole, add rocks and surround it with concrete so the post doesn't rot. That was all lip service. None of it was done correctly. I contacted Greg at Brent's custom fences. I had him come out and look at the situation and inquire if there was any way he could assist in fixing the issues. He assured me his crew could deal with the post rotting situation by installing metal posts. And put my fence back into working order. Not only did his crew show up on time, but Brett came out to make sure I understood how it would work. Then his crew went to work two days later. I had a new fence. They did a fantastic job. Cleaned up after themselves. Very friendly, And it was 104° that day. Greg even noticed one of the caps was missing on the back post. I would never have seen it. The next day, Greg rang my doorbell, asking if he could put the cap pic on the post. I can't recommend them enough. Never again will I trust anyone else but Brett's Custom Fence. read more

After the storm blew down our old flimsy builder grade original fence, we were forced to get quotes for our entire fence and gates. I would highly recommend B.C. Fence for a residential fence installation. Rob Brewer (the project manager) was on site from the estimate all the way until the cleanup after the job, overseeing all aspects of the installation and asking questions to ensure the end result was tailored to our specific needs. The fence was installed in July of 2023 during an unprecedented heatwave in Texas. Nevertheless, Rob's crew arrived early and expertly and efficiently removed Hackberry tree stumps that were ingrown into the original chain-link fence and built and installed the new wood fence which looks great. If you are hesitant about contractors and unsure if you can take them at their word, this company is for you. Rob was able to beat an original estimate I received from a different company, schedule the installation within a week, and personally sought out our opinion on any aspect of the construction that subjective, so there were absolutely no surprises. We're happy about the quality of the end product and the price we ended up paying. I feel that Rob and his team went out of their way to establish a proper old-fashioned business relationship with us which means the next time we need a fence, we will be going back to B.C. I learned about B. C. Fence from my backyard neighbor after they had replaced his fence. I was so impressed with section of fence between our yards that I decided to ask them for a quote to replace all of the remaining fence around my backyard. First, I estimated the total length of the fence to be replaced, then I called B.C. Fence to ask for a cost estimate. Dylan came to our house that afternoon to measure the length of fence to be replaced and to discuss the options available to me. He emailed a cost estimate to me before the end of the day. Dylan first told me that they remove the old fence and build the fence over two days in about two weeks. After alerting my neighbors that we would not have fence overnight and getting their OK's, I texted him on a Friday that I approved the cost and asked him to schedule the work. On Tuesday, Dylan alerted me that I was scheduled for the following Monday and Tuesday. This was only 10 days after giving him the OK to start. All of the work was performed as promised and now I have a really great, new fence. Everything I asked for was done well. I couldn't be more happy. P. S. I don't write many reviews but thought I'd take the time in this particular case. Danny and his team at B.C. Fence - my lead was Sergio - couldn't have done a better job. Huge vine growing on the fence? "No problem". Need us to cut those low hanging branches? "We're on it". Need to reroute the fence line? "Easy". I also misjudged the height I needed in a particular section - I asked for 6 foot pickets and really needed 8 foot pickets because of an elevated sidewalk leading to a park behind my house. I was resigned that I had made a bad decision and prepared to live with it. However, when I mentioned this to Danny he came up with a solution on the spot which solved the problem at no extra cost. I own a business and take great care in my customer interactions and support. I have seldom met individuals who are as committed to customer satisfaction as I am, especially when it comes to construction and yard activities. Without hesitation, I would recommend B.C. Fence to my friends and family. They were able to replace about 120 linear feet of fence plus 2 gates in a single day, and did a fine job. Their price was competitive to the other 2 companies I received quotes from. I worked with Vince throughout the process, and he was great. When he first came out to take a look, I was impressed that he was able to give me an estimate right then and there. Plus, he was knowledgeable about the construction details. I liked that he was able to answer every single one of my questions to my satisfaction. The 2 man crew that built the fence were very pleasant and worked quickly. When I needed a fence repaired on a rental property last year, I didn't do my due diligence and hired a company that, while they gave me a good quote, didn't do a very good job. They used screws to hold the boards, didn't even mention weatherstaining and after all teh rain in Austin, multiple board simply snapped the screws. A back gate I had put in won't open because the boards were put too close together and when they warped it froze. So I called BC Fence, who I wish I'd called first. Vince came out and showed me what the previous company had done, what they did differently and gave me a quote within the day. He actually gave me two, one to repair the old one and one to replace it entirely. I with the second option. He came out about a week later and his crew had the fence put up in less than a day. And it looks amazing. He also put me in touch with a different gentleman who does weatherstaining who came out to give me an estimate and who will be finishing the job if Austin ever dries up. I'm hoping he does work a little bit further south in Austin so I can get him to do my fence repair for my primary house next year. Couldn't be happier. read more
