Fantastic! On a hill country road trip and stopped in for late lunch. We split the 3 meat plate and wow! Went with brisket, turkey and jalapeño cheese sausage. All 3 were perfectly smoked moist and tender. Next time we would double up on the sausage or brisket just because they were SO delicious. Nothing against the turkey but it's just turkey! Sides were borracho beans and mac and cheese both were . Hands down the beans were the most flavorful and perfect consistency I've ever had, simply amazing. We are very familiar with the original B Daddy's in Helotes, which has awesome BBQ. We worked up an appetite after a hike and being a tourist for a day in Bandera...we decided it was time to grab some grub. B Daddy's it was! Our usual go to is the 2 meat plate, with brisket and pulled pork. Food came out quick and was served to us at our table. Loved the Texas Salt Co salt and pepper condiments at each table complimentary of the local business in town. B Daddy's offered two BBQ sauces- tangy and original. We preferred the tangy. Brisket had good flavor, enjoyed the crispy outer edges. Pulled pork was nice smothered in the tangy sauce. My sides consisted of potato salad and green beans with bacon. Potato salad was kinda bland- I did have to add salt and pepper. The green beans were total opposite and were highly seasoned- too salty. I'm sure the bacon added to that salt as well. I enjoyed the jalapeños, pickles, and onions alongside my meats. We were stuffed afterwards lol Very clean establishment with friendly service. Lots of table seating indoors. We always enjoy B- Daddy's, the food was good, the jalapeño creamed corn was quite spicy! The marbled brisket was a little drier than expected but we did arrive just an hour prior to closing. Service was good, plenty of seating. Would recommend! read more

Traveling to Bandera for the day and hubby craved BBQ. It was delicious Texas BBQ! Brisket, turkey and pulled pork was moist and smoky with flavor. The big daddy sandwich which my hubby ate (mix of all BBQ meats) was huge and for him, finger-licking good! Really enjoyed the food. As we drove back to San Antonio through Helotes, noticed their bigger restaurant spot. Super excited as this location is definitely closer to home. Bandera had Buzzy's BBQ for years and there was a lot of debate when B Daddy's opened so we decided to try it. Firstly it was very clean. I like what they have done inside the restaurant. Secondly they were very friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed how we were treated. Thirdly and of course most importantly is the food. We were served generous portions and they were cooked with that really great BBQ flavor that only comes when u know what you're doing. I definitely recommend and we have order to go several times since. read more

We moved to Texas a couple months ago and were excited to try local BBQ. The pulled pork I had was just average. The meat wasn't super hot and the bbq sauce was freezing cold as clearly it just came from the cooler. Spoke to a local shop owner after eating there who asked if we had already had lunch and she told me she was also disappointed at her last visit here. The restaurant is set as modernish BBQ place. We just went but it seems it would be cool during the hot summer months and a nice break from the heat. Was almost disappointed that the baked potatoes weren't ready but went with the chopped brisket sandwich because yeah, I'm pretty plain sometimes. The bun to the sandwich was absolutely hands down the best bread I have ever had. I don't know what kind of witch craft made it but I would make the more than 5 hours to get a chopped sandwich again. The BBQ sauce that had the vinegar, once again, hands down the best. My husband didn't care for it but he's weird. Green beans, on point. It's okay. Just seemed expensive, like you would expect in a tourist area. I had a brisket Mac and cheese sandwich. The meat was on the dry side and there wasn't much mac and cheese on it. We decided to try the BBQ place on Main...and left both of us disappointed. Extremely greasy...and the meats not hot, as the sides were also barely lukewarm. The marbled brisket was very tender so were the ribs. Also had the creamed corn and cold slaw. The sausage was a bit too finely chopped it feels odd to the pallet. For me all was over salted. I wouldn't give it a 5.0 maybe a 4.0. I'm a Texas girl so everywhere I go I try the b-b-q ribs, brisket and sausage. read more
