Great spot in Bandera. Friendly staff and clean bathrooms are usually my first observations which this place nails. The food outstanding and the waitress was very patient and informative with her knowledge of the extensive menu. Warning there are a lot of options and everything that we saw looked outstanding and everything we ate was amazing. read more

Wow! We split the grilled chicken smothered in onion, mushrooms, and brown gravy. It had fresh green beans and mashed potatoes. This was amazing! Kathy was friendly and accommodating! Steak was cooked to perfection! The onions mushrooms and cowboy butter complemented the steak and the loaded baked potato was perfect! Great lunch on a very cold day! Friendly service (if a bit slow). Food arrived hot and was delicious! Burgers were big and cooked perfectly; fries were okay (little thin for my taste), French Dip was packed with beef and cheese, BLT was good with. Large fresh side salad. The parmesan crusted cod was amazing. The cod was cooked perfectly with the parmesan cheese adding a wonderful savory taste. The coleslaw and zucchini paired nicely with the cod. The white sesame crusted Ahi tuna with soy Wasabi dressing cooked medium was outstanding. The spinach and fried okra were so tasty. We were seated right away. Went for dinner the other night. Our server was nice, and the food came out quickly. My daughter liked her veggie burger, and my husband thought his plate was good. I ordered the two fried fish fillets, but they weren't cooked right. They were supposed to be fried but came out really mushy and were falling apart. I ate about half of one and asked our server if they could fry the rest longer, asking them to just toss the second fillet. They brought the piece back after refrying it, but it was still mushy and didn't look correctly fried. The fish just wasn't right either time. When the bill came, our server asked the manager if they could do something about the price because of the fish, but no discount was given, even though I sent most of it back. Since the fish wasn't cooked properly and they didn't adjust the bill, we probably won't be back. read more

Terrible, and we went with low expectation. Waitress was really slow. The girl cleaning surrounding tables was way more helpful and attentive. The wine took 10 minutes to arrive. Husband ordered chili as appetizer and me a salad. Chili came but no salad. Another 10 minute. The helpful cleaning girl delivering salads to the next table (seated way after us) and noticed mine had not been delivered so gave me one of theirs n got them a new one. I ordered the filet mignon, spinach w garlic n fried Brussels sprout. None of which were good. The steak was in no way a filet. It doesn't take 20 saws w a knife to cut a filet. Spinach was actually cooked perfectly but had no garlic or any seasoning. Brussel sprouts were overcooked and dredged in something sweet. The helpful table cleaner gave us a discount on our bill. I would rather have had a good meal. All in all a terrible experience. read more

we stopped in here to eat lunch on our way home from Austin. I ordered the fried shrimp dinner and hubby had the two piece fried fish dinner. The shrimp is battered with Panko and is perfectly crisp. served with skinny fries and coleslaw. The fries were crispy and the coleslaw was delicious. Hubby loved the fried catfish. The two fillets were huge one is coming home with us. The waiter was very atentive,, we really enjoyed eating here. read more

Tjs has changed, smaller portions the smashed burgers have gotten micro. Looked like a single white castle burger. And the tequila lime shrimp, well let's say " no flavor " . Now don't get me wrong, was a great place very consistent,but now not so good . Very disappointed, I ate there a lot almost every other day and night. Too bad. read more

From a long hike we stopped by at this restaurant where even it's already 2PM they were still busy - so we had an impression that it's good. We ordered Pecan Crusted Chicken and Chicken Sandwich and it was a big portion for its amount. And yes it was so good! The service was enough nothing special. The place was neat and pretty spacious. They have outside and indoor sitting - a bar, salad bar, and more. They offers breakfast to dinner which includes coffee and pastries. Based on my friend who loves coffee - the coffee was really good. We glad we stopped by here and able to fill our empty stomach of this good food. read more
