    Talk about a great guy you're talking about Bob K He straight up, I bought a vehicle there two years ago the things still runs like a champ.Ive had to sync some money into it only because it's the best off-road 4 x 4 four-door vehicle out there it's a 2005 GMC 6.6 Duramax with a banks turbo done by half-moon bay auto and I have never been so impressed or had so many people love on that truck. As long as you keep this truck up and fine-tuned it'll run to 1,000,000 miles I've already been told that by two mechanics great vehicle thanks Bob hope all is well!!!!

    Amazing job! With 2 messy kids- my car needed some TLC! I am so pleased with my full interior and exterior detailing. Car looks brand new, the exterior looks so glossy- and to think I needed a new paint job! Bob (the owner) and Jose was super welcoming and answered all of my questions and concerned. Very friendly business, def would recommend!

    We met Bob yesterday when we came in to check out the cars and also look into selling one of ours -- B.K. is a consignment dealer. Bob is super friendly and great to talk to. He obviously knows his stuff and has a very comprehensive set of guidelines for anyone considering selling their car through his business. His prices seem more than reasonable and he also takes steps to ensure all cars sold on his lot are checked out ahead of time in order to protect everyone involved. It's a great system and I think we'll be signing up once we get our car serviced (anyone in the market for an '06 Mustang??)....Plus, an added advantage for anyone selling a car is exposure. Bob's lot is right next to the busy intersection of Rtes. 1 & 92, so there is a TON of traffic throughout the day. Your vehicle is bound to get noticed fast. My favorite thing about our visit though was the resident KITTIES!!!! Lambchop and Missy live on the premises and are super sweet & adorable. Even if we decide not to sell the Stang, I'm pretty sure I'll be a frequent visitor anyway so I can see the small fuzzies!!

    I had a somewhat negative experience working with an advisor at this location, and the experience…read moremade me wary of Cartelligent overall. It seems like it can be good in the right circumstance, but it's worth being a bit careful about it. A friend highly recommended the advisor, saying that they'd saved her a lot of money on her car lease and made the process easy for her. I called and talked for over an hour to the advisor. They were knowledgable and friendly - great customer service. I figured that I may be able to save a little money by looking for a deal myself, but that I wanted to save the time and hassle, so the cost would be worth it. Also, I liked the idea that Cartelligent had access to better deals than I would by purchasing at volume from fleet managers. My plan was to lightly get offer prices myself, compare them to the price Cartelligent got, and then hopefully having validated that they were beating my price sufficiently, I could use them forever and rest assured that it was a worthwhile deal. I reached out to a few dealerships and got opening offers. I was shocked when my Cartelligent advisor came back with an initial price that was worse than three of the five dealerships I'd reached out to, and that was before their $600 fee. When I explained this, they responded a little defensively and asked for proof I had better deals. When I provided it, they came back the next day with an offer $50 a month cheaper than the one they first sent me - a cost difference of $1,800 over the course of the lease! Thank goodness I'd looked on my own and not taken their word for it. The experience shook my faith a bit, so I decided to negotiate with the other dealerships myself and compare. Once I got a bit further into the process, I gave Cartelligent the ability to win my business if they could get to a specific number by dropping their quote a little further. They were unable to do so, so I kept negotiations up elsewhere. Specifically, when I asked if they could get to that number, the whole email they wrote back was "That's awesome. That's a great deal" and that was the last I ever heard from them. With a little bit of work, I ultimately was able to secure a lower price than Cartelligent had before taking their $600 fee into account. Using Cartelligent would have cost me many hundreds of dollars more than negotiating on my own over the course of my lease. At the same time, I was trying to sell my car through them. I did their thorough online process, taking pictures and filling out the form. After it was clear I was going to negotiate a bit and not just take their first price, I stopped hearing about the sale process from the advisor. After the "That's awesome" email, I never heard back from them again, even after asking for updates on the sales process over email. They ultimately never gave me a quote on my car. I think they got mad at me and ghosted me, which I found surprising and unprofessional. It's possible I was able to get an unusually good deal because the EV market is weak right now. The second quote - the one $50 lower - was reasonable, and it did take me a little work to beat it. However, it was clear to me that you should always do your own due diligence and get quotes to check the ones they give you. If you do that, ultimately, you aren't really saving yourself that much work, so I'm not sure the $600 fee is worth it. Edit: David reached out, and we talked about my experience. He sounded as surprised as I was by my experience, and he's looking into it. I was impressed that he would follow up!

They quickly recalled my repeat business (and that they had helped me ship my last purchase straight to the East Coast a few years ago). When I came in person a few days later, Anna made the time to let me look at every car and truck in sight. Throughout the whole experience, I felt zero pressure and was given all the time and information I needed to make an informed decision. Of course, the earmarked car ended up being the perfect fit for me. A few days later, the purchasing process was painless and involved zero haggling or hidden fees. Anna typed up everything in her office and handled everything with the DMV for me. My license plates were delivered straight to my door shortly after. I do not have a lot of time for high-maintenance vehicles. I trust Smith Trucks to sell me vehicles in great condition with low mileages, low idling hours, and solid maintenance histories. For that trust, they have always given me a fair price. Over 8 years and many visits to their lot, I have always been impressed by Smith Trucks' integrity, knowledge, and customer service. Anna even printed out a recipe for a friend of mine undergoing some health problems! I wish Steve and Anna the best of health, and I anticipate Smith Trucks being my first stop (and last stop) the next time I need to purchase a vehicle. Throughout it all, I appreciated that Jeremy was knowledgeable, no-bs, patient, and responsive. I never had to communicate with the dealer at all, until I showed up at the dealership for my test drive, where the salesman had all the paperwork ready to go. From test drive arrival to leaving the dealer with my new car, it only took 2 hours, which feels pretty efficient. I don't really understand how Jeremy gets paid because he didn't charge me for anything, but I'm so glad I found him.

He also scheduled all the test drives, negotiated the prices, and pointed us to a specific person at the dealership, a complete VIP experience. He did the same for our friends just this week, they bought a great car in a great condition, he negotiated the price down and steered them away from less desirable options. My friend was nervous (just like I was before ) because the process of buying a car is stressful. But after they got into the dealership and the car was waiting for them, they test drove and bought the car. My friend said: who would have thought that I can enjoy buying a car!     Came in to have Check Engine Light issue fixed so I could register the car…read more They did their diagnosis, got the error code identified, they replaced parts, I paid $1600 and picked up the car...only to have the check engine light come back on as soon as I started the engine. I was a little frustrated because they told me the problem was fixed. I immediately brought the back, had it re-diagnosed, and was later told there is another issue which would cost $700 (after a bit of a discount), and there could be more after that. It's an older car, but with relatively low mileage for its age (20 year old Lexus sedan with 105k miles). At least this time I was told there are potentially other underlying issues, which could be cost prohibitive. After this second round of repairs, I was told they'd have to partially take apart the engine because "it could be..." I didn't want to continue this process if they weren't even sure what the problem is and I would have to pay them more so they could "maybe find" what is causing the check engine light. They seemed to be more diligent this second time, and took a little more care to see if the check engine light issue was fully resolved. Good on them for their second effort. I wish they could have done a more thorough check the first time instead of it seeming so exploratory. Maybe that's how the problem had to be discovered, but it felt like it was more process of elimination than a targeted solution. I can disconnect and reconnect my battery and get the same results of the check engine light off for a few days. I took the car back now $2400 lighter in the pocket, unclear if the two parts they replaced may have still been functioning, and with my check engine light still on. I feel it was a misdiagnosis of the problem initially. If they properly diagnosed the problem, my decision making would have been different. Instead, I feel as if I got strung along for two payments if I wanted to have my car back that I still can't register.
