I had a somewhat negative experience working with an advisor at this location, and the experience made me wary of Cartelligent overall. It seems like it can be good in the right circumstance, but it's worth being a bit careful about it. A friend highly recommended the advisor, saying that they'd saved her a lot of money on her car lease and made the process easy for her. I called and talked for over an hour to the advisor. They were knowledgable and friendly - great customer service. I figured that I may be able to save a little money by looking for a deal myself, but that I wanted to save the time and hassle, so the cost would be worth it. Also, I liked the idea that Cartelligent had access to better deals than I would by purchasing at volume from fleet managers. My plan was to lightly get offer prices myself, compare them to the price Cartelligent got, and then hopefully having validated that they were beating my price sufficiently, I could use them forever and rest assured that it was a worthwhile deal. I reached out to a few dealerships and got opening offers. I was shocked when my Cartelligent advisor came back with an initial price that was worse than three of the five dealerships I'd reached out to, and that was before their $600 fee. When I explained this, they responded a little defensively and asked for proof I had better deals. When I provided it, they came back the next day with an offer $50 a month cheaper than the one they first sent me - a cost difference of $1,800 over the course of the lease! Thank goodness I'd looked on my own and not taken their word for it. The experience shook my faith a bit, so I decided to negotiate with the other dealerships myself and compare. Once I got a bit further into the process, I gave Cartelligent the ability to win my business if they could get to a specific number by dropping their quote a little further. They were unable to do so, so I kept negotiations up elsewhere. Specifically, when I asked if they could get to that number, the whole email they wrote back was "That's awesome. That's a great deal" and that was the last I ever heard from them. With a little bit of work, I ultimately was able to secure a lower price than Cartelligent had before taking their $600 fee into account. Using Cartelligent would have cost me many hundreds of dollars more than negotiating on my own over the course of my lease. At the same time, I was trying to sell my car through them. I did their thorough online process, taking pictures and filling out the form. After it was clear I was going to negotiate a bit and not just take their first price, I stopped hearing about the sale process from the advisor. After the "That's awesome" email, I never heard back from them again, even after asking for updates on the sales process over email. They ultimately never gave me a quote on my car. I think they got mad at me and ghosted me, which I found surprising and unprofessional. It's possible I was able to get an unusually good deal because the EV market is weak right now. The second quote - the one $50 lower - was reasonable, and it did take me a little work to beat it. However, it was clear to me that you should always do your own due diligence and get quotes to check the ones they give you. If you do that, ultimately, you aren't really saving yourself that much work, so I'm not sure the $600 fee is worth it. Edit: David reached out, and we talked about my experience. I highly recommend working with Cartelligent! I'm a single woman and have been taken advantage of by local dealerships in the past, so when it came time for a new car, I was dreading negotiating a lease. I had heard of a broker for buying, but never knew I could utilize a broker for leasing. Previously, leasing was a very non-transparent process and it's very hard to negotiate what you can't see. I sent a message on Cartelligent's website having already researched the car I was looking for and was reached out to by Cassie. Did you ever hear that joke about going out to the bars with your ugly friends so you'll look like the hot one? (I achieve this regularly because most of my friends are pretty gruesome). Well, Cartelligent is like that. I'd spent a few months shopping for a gently used Honda, driving from SF to places like Novato (escaped a bad deal at Marin Ford), Sacramento (got treated poorly by Maita Miata) and Milpitas (I'd avoid Envision Honda) as well as SF Honda and email convos with a few other places. I could give all those places one star but it wouldn't be fair because **all car dealers are about the same**. And if they are all the same, they can't be one star. It's like yelping cesspools. But I digress. Over an adult beverage I was complaining to a friend about my last test drive at SF Honda, where they had a 2025 Civic Si with a $41k sticker. It was still dirty from the trade (gum wrapper in the door handle, ew) and I got the typical sales hustle. My friend said he always used Cartelligent, and connected me with Ethan Sparrow. After learning more about them (they only deal with new cars) I realized I could get a new vehicle for less than the used car lots were asking for 2024s and 2025s. I know, I could've bartered them down but ugh, the energy it requires. And one you catch a salesperson in a lie (pro tip: their mouth is moving) it is hard for me to want to continue to deal with them. At Cartelligent, it only took about 3 short phone calls and a couple emails for me to decide to go for it. After three days, Ethan called and gave me bad news / good news: he couldn't find a viable deal on a 2025 Si. But, he had located a newer 2026 and negotiated a purchase that was within my range, over $5k less than the used car quotes I'd been getting. I OKed the deal, and a couple days later took possession of the new car. Cartelligent even comped me an Uber to their offices! And they handle all the DMV reg and license plate work. The purchase also includes one of their people (shouts to Dylan, knowledgeable AND patient) sitting in the new car with you, patiently explaining all the features you need to know about. (My old car is 20 years old, a lot has changed!) TL;DR: they find you the car you want at a lower price that more than makes up their fee. In August of 2024, my husband contacted local Honda dealerships inquiring about buying a new Honda Civic Type R. After being told there were none currently available or incoming soon, he contacted Cartelligent to help him with his search. In less than two weeks, Christian at Cartelligent found him his car, in his preferred championship white color and my husband was thrilled. Having witnessed my husband's experience going through the Cartelligent process and how smooth and painless it was, I knew I wanted to use Cartelligent when I was ready for a new car. It's been 14 years since I've last searched for a new car, so the thought of going into a dealership was the last thing I wanted to do. Here's my timeline, in case it helps others: My husband first reached out to Christian on 3/16/26, we met virtually on 3/17/26 to discuss what I wanted and specific numbers, and on 3/30/26, I had my brand new 2026 Honda CR-V Trailsport. We wanted to purchase a 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5, and had taken a test drive with the local Hyundai dealer. The test drive had gone well, but everything went downhill from there with the dealer. We asked them to reserve a car for us, and they said they would do so. The car arrived but was sold to a different customer. Why? They told us that we needed to have completed a lease application to put a hold on a car, but had not told us this. The dealer also tried to fleece us (and I'm sure lots of other customers) by including a $695 charge for what they call "Shadowmark". It consists of engraving the car's VIN number on the windows- supposedly as a deterrent to potential thieves. This VIN number engraving can be done in a few minutes with a $20 kit from Amazon. The dealer said that the charge had to be included because the engraving was done at the factory. That is apparently not true, and based upon what I've read in forums this Shadowmark ploy is common across many Hyundai dealers . We had talked to a neighbor who had purchased a Mustang Mach E from Cartelligent and was extremely happy. So, fed up with the local dealer, we called them and paid $595 for their service sourcing the vehicle and an appropriate lease. Stephen was extremely responsive and helpful, as was Jonathan in Menlo Park who gave us an hour and a half of training on the vehicle when it arrived. I highly recommend Cartelligent, and have nothing but a bad taste in my mouth from our experience with the local dealer. However, we LOVE the car! read more

After Vincent found my car, I learned that there are staff members that offer a tutorial for your new car! I was surprised that this is an additional service they provide and I can assure you, it's a great idea as there is so much new technology. I was assigned Dylan who was FANTASTIC! Dylan has a very calm, kind, friendly, patient disposition and there is no dumb question you can pose. He was super knowledgeable and had no problem explaining certain features on my BMW multiple times. (In my case, it was working out Bluetooth settings for my teenagers that hop in my car and disconnect my Spotify). We just got our 2025 Toyota Sienna with Chuck's help. We couldn't have been more pleased with the process and the outcome. We wanted just the base trim, nothing particular, not even the color was that important to us. Mainly, it was getting the difficult-to-get hybrid Sienna at the right price. Dealers are significantly marking up Siennas right now. Chuck came through and got us what we wanted at a price that came in quite a bit lower than all the dealer prices we saw. Not only that, Chuck was happy to switch gears mid process and find us quotes for another car altogether, as we briefly explored getting a Kia Carnaval. On top of that, when we became discouraged mid process, Chuck was very understanding and explained it was no problem to refund the Cartelligent fee if we wanted to go our own way.
