Been coming here since they opened. All these years and the food is still consistently great. We love all the apps so much that we end up with almost all of them on our table. The entrees never disappoint. Love the deep fried whole fish and the shrimp salad. Service is top notch and you feel like you're visiting a friends home for dinner. Overall great place. read more

Do not order take out from this restaurant! While the food is delicious, it is never ready on time. Every single time I order from here it takes 40-60 minutes for my food - which would be fine except that they tell you it will be ready in 20-25 minutes. I end up waiting in the restaurant for a very long time for my food. The last time I ordered take out I was also missing food and half my dishes were cold, because of how long it took. The most recent time my order was not only not ready, but after waiting 15 minutes in the restaurant, it was clear they forgot to make the two dishes I was waiting for because I was told "they were just put in the pan". A full 15 minutes AFTER I showed up to get my food!! This business is a disgrace and needs to learn how to handle high volume of orders. Which is always their excuse for being behind, but mind you the restaurant is nearly empty when I go to get my food. read more

The chicken pad thai was very mediocre, the flavor was watered down. The flavor of the coconut milk soup was not balanced.

if i could give this place zero stars i would. i have NEVER ever walked out of a restaurant having refused my meal because it was so disgusting but i did here. both mine and my boyfriend's orders tasted like watery, mushy dog food. and thai food is my FAVORITE. they offered to remake our dishes but they were so awful we didn't even want them to attempt. at least they waived the bill, but i would NEVER go back ever. read more

We have been going to this restaurant regularly for over 7 years and have never been disappointed. The food is fantastic, the service is always friendly and attentive, and the price is spectacular. My husband's favorite is the barbecued tuna over curried noodles. I have tried to make my way through the menu and I've never been disappointed. The Nam Sod appetizer is our favorite. We love that it's a BYOB and that on date night they let us take our time and never rush us. Highly recommend!!! read more

I came here for lunch one day with a friend. The decor was nice, but they played elevator music, which didn't match the theme of the restaurant at all. I ordered the big box, which came with a fried dumpling, spring roll, fried banana, salad, rice, and entree (I ordered the red curry with tofu). Our lunches were served in metal cafeteria like trays. We also had a coupon for a free Thai iced tea. The tea was sweet, as expected, but I didn't care much for it. I'm not sure if it was because it wasn't good or because I'm not much of a tea drinker. It was my first time having Thai tea. The salad was swimming in water. It looked like they had rinsed the veggies in the tray and just left them there. And it was warm, like it had been microwaved and then left out. Not crunchy at all. The spring roll, dumpling, and banana were very good, but you can't really mess up fried food. The red curry was the worst red curry I've ever had. Not authentic at all. It tasted like they had gone to a local supermarket and heated up a boxed meal you get in one of the aisles. It was just as watery as the salad, didn't taste like curry at all, and was way too salty. There were also big chunks of wilted lettuce in it. Disgusting. While I really enjoyed the appetizers, I would not eat here again. There are too many other good options nearby. read more

really can't comment on the main course-- it never came. First time I ever left a restaurant mid meal. Like a scene from kitchen nightmares-- nothing came out of the kitchen after our appetizer-- a greasy al dente pad thai. Finally all the folks who came after us started to get their meals. I come here more than any restaurant in town. Their curry of any kind is wonderful. Their soups are fantastic- if you like flavor I recommend the lemongrass soup. You can substitute veggies for meat. Their veggies are always fresh. read more

I've been going here for years and love it, it's definitely a favorite of mine. I've ordered everything from fish dishes, to curry, to Pad Thai and it has all been very good. I always order their vegetable soup- it contains vegetables and tofu in a simple broth but is flavorful nonetheless. My staple dish there is the Ka Tiem, a wonderful mix of veggies and chicken with a delicious garlic-cilantro sauce. I get it with tofu instead of chicken, a substitution they've always been more than happy to accommodate. It's also worth mentioning that their staff is very nice, and that it's a warm and welcoming restaurant in general. Service could be faster at times, but other than that, no complaints! read more

Lovely find -had tried t eat at Cloverleaf Tavern - right next door, but on a Saturday at about 6 there was a 45 minute wait -in a loud place too. So we went next door- lovely decor ( looks like tin ceilings on the walls, painted a brushed red and orange), small tables, candles and quick pleasant service. Great dumplings,subtle flavors - warm pleasant settings-tables close together -but you can tell people come often and sit around -no pressure to leave. They've been there 14 years - steady following it seems - owners know 1/2 of the diners. read more

My husband and I visited Bangkok Kitchen as the restaurant had great reviews. We were very disappointed. Our appetizers were very greasy and dripping with oil. Entrees arrived after a long wait and food was cold. In addition, flavors were just not there. I could barely taste any seasoning. Food was bland and simply not good. In my opinion Thai food is much better than Chinese. It's healthier, less greasy, and mainly uses rice instead of wheat noodles. This makes it especially great for me as I am Gluten Free. Bangkok Kitchen has a quite extensive GF menu. While not everything is GF, most dishes are. Its a little pricey for me, but I'm pretty broke so... Anyway, most entrees are between $10-$20 which really isn't that bad. The portions are very good, so you do get a decent bang for your buck! I tend to do take out, as the ambiance is very very mellow. Basically the place makes me tired. It's a little too dim, and the music is always very slow and calming. I'm sure this is how they want it to be, but like I said, for me, it's just a bit much. The dining area is on the small side, maybe 20 tables, and they fill up quite fast, especially on weekends. I suggest calling ahead to make sure there is no wait. They also have somewhat odd hours as there is a lunch time and a dinner time. I believe between 3-5 they are closed (not 100% sure about this). During lunch, there are a few meals not offered at dinner (and vice versa). Lunch deals are a few dollars cheaper, but you still get the same large portion. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a gluten free meal, or just love Thai food, or want a healthier alternative to Chinese. My favorite is the Pad Cee Ew. It's delicious! read more

We went here last night and got the shrimp and crab fried rice and the basil noodle dish with shrimp. Our daughter got chicken fried rice. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious, and the service was outstanding! Great to have a delicious Thai restaurant like this in town! read more

Bangkok Kitchen has an unprofessional staff that doesn't know how to run a restaurant on a busy night. We couldn't even get seated when there were open tables and we were the only people waiting in the place. The tables were eventually given to a party of three people who came in well after us. These three didn't have the decency to acknowledge that fact and the staff didn't make it right when confronted. They didn't have reservations. I will never patronize Bangkok Kitchen again. Shame on both of you! read more

This is the best Thai food in the area. Nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff too but the main thing is the excellent food.

We have been going to Bangkok kitchen for years, but the last two times the food was average and the service was terrible. It wasn't the server's fault -- it is the kitchen. They seem to process all the take-out orders first. Last night, after an hour and 20 minutes with no food (although at least 12 people walked in and left with take out), we left without eating, and we will not go back. read more

I write this review with mixed emotions - because I have enjoyed the food, casual atmosphere and great service at Bangkok Kitchen for about the last 10 years. We have enjoyed celebrating many family occasions there, such as birthdays - or just meeting friends for dinner. The food has always been consistent and very, very flavorful with reasonable prices. My dilemma began around Christmas of 2011 - when I went into the rest room and saw a cockroach on the floor. I tried to rationalize this by thinking - hey, this is probably an isolated situation. I did not tell my family or the other members of my dining party because I didn't want to spoil our night out. We returned to dine several times since then - all were fine. The exception being my last visit, which was in Feb of 2013 where again, I saw a cockroach in the rest room. Once may be an isolated incident - but twice and that's enough for me to NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. It's a shame because this WAS MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT. read more
