We rely on this relatively new Thai for appetizers and soup. It's a beautiful place inside but so far, we only get take out. Their curry puffs are great. Their spring rolls are our must haves. I get their shrimp soup ... not too spicy and a good supply of tasty shrimp too. Prices are on par with other Thai placed. Recommended

I must confess that I've lived in U.S. towns and cities comprised of large populations of Asians, including those from Thailand, so perhaps my expectations for this restaurant were unreasonable. Altogether, I was disappointed in the food. It was not at all what I would call authentic Thai food. I would rate the service as excellent: prompt, attentive, polite and competent. The ambiance was pleasing: clean and pleasing to the eye. I also liked that this is a 'Bring your own wine' restaurant. The portions were substantial and reasonably prices. I wish there were more vegetable , as suggested by the menu descriptions. So, in summary: service=5; ambience= 4 ; food=3. Altogether a rating of 4.

For 30 years, I've been a beginner when it comes to Thai food. Pad thai is my go-to meal and this dish was about as good as expected. The calamari was very tasty but the dipping sauce was one of the best I've ever had. It had a slight kick to it that I enjoyed. I ordered it online and it was ready in 20 minutes. The parking is street based. I was fortunate to find a spot in front. I'd definitely come again!

Best Thai Restaurant in North Jersey ! The menu is extensive and not the normal thai restaurant that order standard dishes only. The steam squid was very good.

We picked Thonglor for a Sunday lunch as we were craving for some Thai food. We walked in around noon, right before the restaurant started to get busy. As I walked in, I was amazed by the stunning interior and gorgeous decor of this restaurant. The giant red bow at the door, the sculptures, lights, everything had such authentic Thai vibe all around the place. They had a huge menu with all sorts of dishes. Of course I started with my favorite tom yum soup that was citrusy, filled with seafood. Then we had several other items like the roti massaman, Thai wings, fried shrimp cake, pineapple fried rice, shrimp red curry and roasted red duck. All the items had incredible taste and flavor. The portions were good size. We also got Thai iced tea. For the very first time, I had Thai iced tea that had cream on top with a vanilla flower in it. Alongside the delicious we had amazing service from staff. They constantly cleaned our table and also packed out left overs. The dishes were served within reasonable time too. Overall we had a fantastic lunch here. For sure it's one of the best Thai places in the area.

What a surprise to find a Thai restaurant that offers authentic Thai food in a beautiful ambience. I was also surprised by the portion size. I would say that the green curry dish was legit twice as much as other Thai restaurants. I had a full meal size left over even after stuffing myself. So great value. The food also came out plated beautifully. What a great addition to Denville dining scene.

Wonderful Thai food at Denville. Very friendly and attentive staff. We ordered quite a lot of food. All came out well presented and prepared. Definitely love the shrimp pancakes (appetizer), it's fried but still juicy inside. The duck (main entree) is flavorful and tender. The skin is crispy and goes really well with the curry. Chic decoration yet still keeps the Thai essence. Spacious seating with comfortable booth. Bathroom is very clean.

    Thai Iced Tea!

Loved everything about this establishment! From the menu options to the TASTE of the food; from the decor to the music. Service was fast (brought our food our, promptly), but they did not rush us! It hit every mark. Spicy is actually spicy here, and it hits! Definitely going back!

In downtown Denville. The place is a lot bigger on the inside than you would think looking in from the street. The atmosphere is very calming and the decor embraces the culture. We sat down for lunch. The server was very friendly and answered all our questions. There were so many different options for drinks and they all looked good! I got a Shirley temple and a Thai ice tea. The Shirley temple has been one of the better ones I've had more recently. With the lunch specials you get your own personal appetizer. I got the crab Rangoon and it came with honey mustard sauce which I've never had before but surprisingly the taste combination was excellent. We also split curry puffs which were very good. I got the drunk man noodle. The lunch portion was perfect but I forgot to take a picture of it. Their presentation is very well done.

My parents and I ordered takeout from this place a couple of days ago. I think this place is in the same spot as Thai Chef. I love Thai cuisine so I was excited to try a new place. Their menu had a lot of items. We ordered pad thai noodle with chicken, Tom yum fried rice with tofu (mild) and masaman curry with chicken (medium spicy). The pad thai noodle dish was okayI felt the chicken was a bit dry. Maybe I should have asked for shrimp instead. We should have ordered medium spicy for the Tom yum fried rice. It was good but could have kicked it up a notch. The masaman curry with chicken was the best. Good flavor. The prices for the dishes were a little steep but was happy to see they gave good quantity for each. I may try their food again the next time I'm in town.

It is located in the heart of Downtown Denville. they decorated the restaurant beautifully with a Christmas theme. Hanging artifacts make it more beautiful. We did not have reservations but found the table quickly. the menu was quite simple and easy to understand, and no fancy words to make it look like an exquisite restaurant, hahaha... We ordered- * Thai wings: Typical deep-fried wings, nothing special about it, just their Thai sauce spread over it. 3/5 * Spring Roll: typical deep-fried spring rolls, in fact, they fried in used oil- you can smell it. Now here comes the main food- * Basil Fried Chicken Rice: it was spicy but I thoroughly enjoyed it. a mix of everything and they put loads of chicken * Basil Spaghetti Shrimp Noodle- shrimp should be more sautéed but it was good. * Drunk Man (drunken) Chicken Noodle: Rice noodles with onion, and bell pepper- it was one of the best drunken noodles my wife had and I could see her happiness after finishing the meal. * Pineapple Chicken Fried Rice- though it had pineapple, it was good too. overall, the main course was just amazing, Authentic Thai cuisine. it felt like a soothing place, with no noise, a beautiful ambiance, a couple of servers taking care of all the customers, and service was equally good. If you are in Denville downtown, I would recommend it... In fact, I am planning to host my office party here... I loved it. Parking: Street parking is available or park near the main road.

Came for dinner and the food that was recommended was great. I got the crispy pork belly pad Thai and the pork belly was so crispy. The duck was also delightful! The service was great and everyone was super nice and helpful. It was also pretty packed for a weekday night. Overall, had a great experience and most of the food was great!

The exterior architecture is stunningly authentic, channeling a traditional aesthetic complete with a beautiful outdoor fish pond (no, you cannot order them for dinner, though don't quote me on that because I didn't actually ask). Upon stepping inside, you are greeted by an inviting, ornately decorated space. It feels a bit vintage and dated in the best way possible, offering a unique character that modern, cookie-cutter spots just can't replicate. We were seated promptly at a table adorned with actual fresh-cut flowers--a beautiful detail that immediately separates this venue from places utilizing tacky plastic alternatives. The service here is absolutely impeccable. The server, the manager, and the support staff operate as a highly attentive, deeply friendly team. We began with appetizers: a simple vegetable roll for my girlfriend which she declared was absolutely amazing, and the boneless spare ribs for me. While boneless ribs are an absolute staple on any Chinese takeout menu, I have never had a local version execution this elite; they were perfectly lean, deeply flavorful, and entirely free of the typical fat pockets you usually find elsewhere. For the main course, my girlfriend (who doesn't eat meat) ordered the tofu and mixed vegetables blanketed in a rich brown sauce with a side of brown rice. She rated it as one of the best variations she has ever encountered, noting that the kitchen's flavor balance was so dialed-in that it required zero corrections from additional soy sauce, salt, or pepper. I opted for the General Tso's Triple Fragrance, featuring a massive, premium protein trifecta of chicken, beef, and shrimp tossed with fresh vegetables and brown rice. It was extraordinary. Hunan Taste simply does not belong in the same conversation as your standard neighborhood joint; it operates entirely in a class of its own. We will absolutely be back, and it definitely won't take another five years.

First I'd like to say how friendly everyone was from the moment you walk through the door. I'm still shocked at how quick the service was. They were on it. As a vegetarian I'm aware I may eat boring things but I still like them to taste good. I got the mixed veggies in brown sauce. It was flavored so well it needed nothing. I also got a spring roll which was great. My boyfriend started with the boneless ribs which he said were the best he has had. That says a lot since he is picky. He also said the same about his General Tso's Triple Fragrance . Nice sized portions as well. You will leave satisfied The food, service and ambiance lived up to the recommendations.

My vegetarian friend was in the area and says she loves visiting this place whenever she's here…read more I'm a carnivore, but friends are more important than food, so - my first veggie experience! With that in mind I want to be careful how I review the food. The place is nice and quiet, including the servers. The menu is rather expansive like a diner, and it can be a bit confusing because it sometimes says "veggie beef" (or chicken, pork) and sometimes just says "beef" and you have to interpret the missing word "veggie". Since I didn't want any of that, I was able to pick out what I wanted quickly, but my friend took awhile. I liked the spring rolls. Liked, not loved - I've had better; the interior was bland here. And the sauce wasn't announced, but a nice bonus for dipping. The vegetable fried rice, I don't know. The sauce was a bit gluey, instead of making the rice a bit crunchy like fried rice ought to be. The veggies were not done enough so they weren't crunchy but also weren't soft. The broccoli should have been chopped into smaller pieces, but also, it should have been mushrooms like the menu said. I was not pleased with the unannounced substitution - a five star restaurant would be open about that. (I was also expecting baby corn, but the menu did say "corn" when I checked back, so that's on me.) I'd love to round up to 4 instead of down to 3, but in the end, if my friend invites me back next time she's in the area, I'd pass and suggest a different spot. I know it's not easy to craft a vegetarian restaurant and I respect what they've been able to do here, but I think they can do better without introducing meat products. Especially on matching the menu with what you're given.

For me, I thought the noodles and vegetables were well-prepared however, the filet mignon and shrimp were over-cooked, not seasoned well and not as tender as I expected they would be. Visually, the ambiance/decor was quite nice. Auditorily, it was noisy: I had trouble hearing (without shouting) most of the others in my party of 6. What I liked least was the wait to be seated (yes, we had reservations) and the wait for our food: our waiter apologized several times for forgetting to put in our order, which added about a half-hour to our wait. But overall, I enjoyed seeing the grandkids enjoying the experience.

Normally with a drink in hand I wouldn't mind, but this was tough with a group of kids. Speaking of kids - ours were being wild, and all of the staff was really nice about it. It seems like they are pretty used to kids running around, and luckily they have a huge indoor dining space with a fountain to keep the kids occupied.
