Let me start by emphasizing just how many nail salons I've been too in my life...I've lived in Boston, Cambridge, Harwichport, Provincetown, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Gold Coast, Andersonville, Wicker Park, Lakeview, Rosco Village, Skokie and as of four months ago, Des Plaines. I've been getting my nails done every two weeks, religiously, since I was 16 years old (35I'm also a perfectionist, so I'm admittedly a pain in the ass as a customer, because I have extremely high expectations and I will speak up if those expectations aren't met (yes I realize what a monster I sound like, but I'm actually a decent person, I simply appreciate quality‍) So to sum it up, I've lived all over the US, specifically in three out of the five most major US cities and somehow I discovered the most talented, refined, skilled and professional nail techs right here in Des Plaines, at B Nails on Oakton and Wolf. The older women who I believe owns the place, is my absolute favorite; she is quick, precise, clean, creative (I often let her have creative Freedom with my nail color/designs) friendly, gentle (some nail techs are really rough and will hurt you, but she takes extra time if necessary to ensure your always comfortable) and lastly, she is very reasonably priced! I truly can't recommend this spot highly enough!

I got a mani pedi yesterday. I paid $55 which is average price. I asked the lady if I should get no ship on my toes and she recommended regular polish. After an hour of leaving my toe got completely smudged even though it should have been dry. I went back and they fixed it for free. However, they got messed up again. Reference the picture below. My no chip manicure has stayed in tact but, they need new polish. I don't think I'll be coming back it's a waste of my time.

I feel bad leaving this review because this use to be my favorite place to get my nails done. However, yesterday I went to get my nails done here for the 1st time since the summer. First of all, I asked for a coffin shape and she said it would be a $5 additional charge, which is normal for most salons. However as you can see in the photo I attached, my nails look more square than coffin and that was after I already asked her to fix them. She also decided to charge me an additional $3 for a matte top coat which has never happened to me at any other salon. I don't mind paying the extra charges for a job well done but in all honesty my nails look terrible.

I've gone to many many nail places & they have left my nails horrid..! but B nails exceeded my expectations & is my favorite now! I will be going here forever! Considering I bite my nails a lot, they were able to work with them & made me feel very comfortable and welcome. This is also the longest my nails have lasted! 1 month! it's been helping with my nail growth journey. I love B nails! read more

This was my first visit to the salon and I am sold! I found a new nail salon I am happy with. Jen was the sweet girl who did my nails. She's so good. I did the gel x set and she definitely knows what she is doing. She would even ask me if the lamp was to hot for me. Other times nail techs don't even bother asking. The owner was there and she was so sweet. And very caring. I would give this place 5 stars for the service. But the salon could of been just a little bit more clean for my liking. That was my only negative. The tools they used were clean but the area where you wash your hands was not so clean and floor looked dirty. I can't wait to go back! read more

I'm so happy with my nails my nail tech that I used to go to no longer was doing nails and I was searching for someone and I spoke with Gina she is the owner and told her that I have natural nails, and I use the builder gel, and she knew exactly what I was talking about. So I made an appointment the same day and she did an amazing job on my nails and as a bonus Mondays and Wednesdays are discount days. Beautiful lilac nails with chrome. I got a mani pedi yesterday. I paid $55 which is average price. I asked the lady if I should get no ship on my toes and she recommended regular polish. Enjoyed my experience here. Kim did a wonderful job on my nails & eyebrows and made sure from shaping the nails, to nail color, and eyebrow shape, that I approved & was satisfied. I have been to this nail salon 10+ times now and I have had a great experience every time. The nails techs are sweet ladys and very good at what they do. The quality of the nail work is outstanding I spent 2-3 months without getting a fill and my nails never broke once unlike my old salon. Wait times are good and the prices are also decent. read more

This is my go to Nail Salon! Stumbled upon this place on accident and I'm so glad I did! It's only 5 minutes away from my house. Kiera, one of the owners is the one who does my nails. I've come here 4 times already and she always allows me to leave a satisfied customer! I used to do the square shape nail but this last time she convinced me to try out the coffin nail which I've never done. I love my nails and happy I did something different. They also have many color options. I recommend trying this place out! You won't regret it! read more

LOVE!! I get dip nails and they are by far the best quality dip nails I have ever gotten. I usually have Kim do my nails and she is amazing and so thorough with her process. The price is great too for quality and preciseness of the nails. I left the nail salon I was dedicated to for 5 years prior to my first time at B nails and I'll never go back!! Visiting B.Nails literally made my day. My regular nail salon closed down and I found B.Nails while driving down Oakton. When I arrived, I was greeted with a warm Welcome and immediately shown to the polish colors. I sat down for the pedicure and the man helping me painted his own nail to show me the color I picked to make sure I liked the color I chose! Amazing. The woman did a perfect job on my nails. The service was a good price. The salon was very clean and I was treated very well. I am so happy I found this place and I can't wait to visit again in a few weeks. read more

She made conversation with me to ease the pain a bit & I loved how interested/attentive she was to not only my interests, but how I was doing in terms of pain with the threading. The pain was a little worse then typical according to Purvi since I did grow my brows out but as someone who usually get my eyebrows waxed the pain was nothing in comparison. She shaped them & trimmed them to literal perfection. I've never seen my eyebrows look so good. Which is why I had to write a rave review. The swelling was down in probably 30 minutes & I got so many compliments when I went out later that night. All in all for the price ($12+ a nice tip!) she goes above & beyond. Booking via phone was super easy, and they also have an online booking system as well. The spa is super clean, cute, and modern. Halina is who took care of me the entire time and I absolutely adored her! So down-to-earth, friendly, and absolutely great at her job. I got a 90-minute signature facial ($120) and it was worth every penny. I didn't even know this came with it but she also massaged my arms, shoulders, and feet! I felt so relaxed and my skin was flawlessly hydrated after. I loved every part of the facial, even the extraction (she made it as painless as possible). I will definitely be coming here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a facial, massage, wax, laser, etc. (they have tons of services!) She did an amazing job fixing up my eyebrows and reshaping them, exactly how I asked. Also, I usually always feel the pain while getting my eyebrows threaded, but not with Dalcy. I travel over an hour to get my nails done by this couple, and it's worth every single minute and mile! Not only are they talented, but patient... they really care about their client's satisfaction. They're attentive, yet they work at the perfect pace. I've honestly never NOT been happy when I leave their chairs. That's why I'm willing to follow them to any location they move to.
