This was my first visit to the salon and I am sold! I found a new nail salon I am happy with. Jen was the sweet girl who did my nails. She's so good. I did the gel x set and she definitely knows what she is doing. She would even ask me if the lamp was to hot for me. Other times nail techs don't even bother asking. The owner was there and she was so sweet. And very caring. I would give this place 5 stars for the service. But the salon could of been just a little bit more clean for my liking. I'm so happy with my nails my nail tech that I used to go to no longer was doing nails and I was searching for someone and I spoke with Gina she is the owner and told her that I have natural nails, and I use the builder gel, and she knew exactly what I was talking about. Disappointed. Came to get an acrylic fill and expected better quality especially based on all the good reviews. My nails turned out crooked, uneven with lumps in the acrylic build, and too thick overall. Let me start by emphasizing just how many nail salons I've been too in my life...I've lived in Boston, Cambridge, Harwichport, Provincetown, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Gold Coast, Andersonville, Wicker Park, Lakeview, Rosco Village, Skokie and as of four months ago, Des Plaines. I've been getting my nails done every two weeks, religiously, since I was 16 years old (35I'm also a perfectionist, so I'm admittedly a pain in the ass as a customer, because I have extremely high expectations and I will speak up if those expectations aren't met (yes I realize what a monster I sound like, but I'm actually a decent person, I simply appreciate quality‍) So to sum it up, I've lived all over the US, specifically in three out of the five most major US cities and somehow I discovered the most talented, refined, skilled and professional nail techs right here in Des Plaines, at B Nails on Oakton and Wolf. The older women who I believe owns the place, is my absolute favorite; she is quick, precise, clean, creative (I often let her have creative Freedom with my nail color/designs) friendly, gentle (some nail techs are really rough and will hurt you, but she takes extra time if necessary to ensure your always comfortable) and lastly, she is very reasonably priced! I got a mani pedi yesterday. I paid $55 which is average price. I asked the lady if I should get no ship on my toes and she recommended regular polish. After an hour of leaving my toe got completely smudged even though it should have been dry. I went back and they fixed it for free. However, they got messed up again. Reference the picture below. My no chip manicure has stayed in tact but, they need new polish. I don't think I'll be coming back it's a waste of my time. read more

I feel bad leaving this review because this use to be my favorite place to get my nails done. However, yesterday I went to get my nails done here for the 1st time since the summer. First of all, I asked for a coffin shape and she said it would be a $5 additional charge, which is normal for most salons. However as you can see in the photo I attached, my nails look more square than coffin and that was after I already asked her to fix them. She also decided to charge me an additional $3 for a matte top coat which has never happened to me at any other salon. I don't mind paying the extra charges for a job well done but in all honesty my nails look terrible. read more

Visiting B.Nails literally made my day. My regular nail salon closed down and I found B.Nails while driving down Oakton. When I arrived, I was greeted with a warm Welcome and immediately shown to the polish colors.
