Little bit of a hit and miss this time at the B1 Tavern. Last time I was here, I had their burger and fries, which was quite good and I was very pleased with it. Fast-forward to today, and I was a tad disappointed with the overall experience versus the last time. I thought my chicken strips were very bland and very pedestrian. Fries were still OK put the chicken was nothing to get excited about. Relative to price I thought it was a tad high at $19 as typically chicken strips and fries are more budget friendly than that at other restaurants I have been to. My wifes chicken sandwich was also bland in her own words and not very inspiring. The highlight of the meal was my 12 year old grandson's cheeseburger and fries which he loved and ate all of it in spite of its large size. That basically was the same meal I had the last time I was here and was very pleased with it as well. Service was exceptional where the waitress was super friendly with great Follow up and continues to be a strength of this business. Overall I had high expectations going into this meal based on my last experience, but alas it was not to be. read more

I gave this place another try after seeing the reviews others gave it had improved significantly. I had the biscuits & gravy with eggs and a side of sausage. Not bad, though it could have been warmer. The chicken & waffle were pretty good, too. Overall, the food quality seems to have improved since my last visit, the service was far better and more attentive, and the atmosphere - while still pretty subdued, was at least clean and less chaotic than before. I will return for dinner at some point, but at least wanted to update my prior review to reflect their improvements. This place seems to be managed better than it once was. read more

This place is really great for a burger and the Korean barbecue wings. Highly recommended. Great food and great service.

Been coming here for brunch for some time now and finally made it in for dinner. We popped in around 7/8 on Good Friday quickly found two seats at the bar. It was a busy Friday night but everything moved quickly. I didn't know what I wanted but after seeing so many plates of fish coming out of the kitchen I decided. Their fried fish has to be some of my favorite! I like a thicker breading and still want bigger fish and this was just that. Need to come back and try some burgers. read more

Nice ambiance. V Good service at the bar (1/15). Nice local crowd - the bar was mostly full. Had the Italian Sub, Korean wings, pierogis. In that order. All were good. The sub was EXTREMELY good. All portions were plenty. The pierogis were a bit chewy. We'll go back. But I'll have to double check the Happy Hour price of that house cab. Rating should be 3 1/2 stars. read more

Finally tried the Italian sub and Cali club! The sub HUGE and super delicious, but a bit pricey at $18. The California club was good but I don't think I'd get it again. I also tried the loaded tots and they were good, but not a very shareable size and needed more cheese. love this place, great brunch, chill atmosphere and the bartenders are absolutely amazing!

Have been here twice (am from out of town) in the past two years and can't say enough about this place. Definitely a locals joint, but in a good way. I had the same bartender each time (Ashley, cuter than should be legal) and just had a good time killing time while waiting for my kid's regatta to get going. The food is great and you can tell they give a shit which is increasingly rare in this day and age. read more

I am giving this place three stars because I know its hard to operate in this environment and their wait staff is keeping a positive attitude and doing a great job. The drinks were great, my bloody mary had the perfect ratio of spice to liquor. The food however was pretty awful. The french onion soup looked amazing but tasted like a salt lick...could not finish. Pizza was ok but I am sure they use Ragu for the sauce on their regular and some cheap bbq on the Hawaiian. Loaded tater tots came with cheese whiz..not edible. My husbands steak was smothered in salt gravy..also not edible. My friends salads did look great, so maybe that's the trick here..order drinks and salad. read more

Came here for A work event. Service was amazing. If you are trying to get appetizer I would 110% recommend the pretzel, it's as big as a pizza. My other appetizer recommendation is definitely the nachos. For a meal you cannot go wrong with margarita pizza. Will definitely be visiting again. read more

Delicious food!! There are specials almost every day of the week, my personal favorites is the ribs. There's a good balance of beers to choose from and hand crafted cocktails. My friend and I sat out on the patio since it was nice out but the interior is beautiful and spacious. Huge props to Rick! He's done a wonderful job making this happen and making sure everyone who walks through the door feels welcomed and taken care of. Will definitely be back! read more

I'm giving this place 2 stars because our server was fantastic (Linda). The owner was not pleasant at all when my husband asked to speak to a manager after waiting a long time for his fish and chips. We cancelled the order at that point. The French onion soup was terrible! The twisted pickle eggrolls were good and the salad was was fresh with a great presentation. Most restaurants are following covid guidelines, not here! The bartender had her mask pulled down unless she came out to the dining area, same for the owner who eventually had no mask on. They were about 98% filled that did not help the covid comfort level!! Would not return because of the owner!! Can't support someone like him. 27 years in the industry have never encountered a guy like him. read more

Great concepts, Good food and decent service. 1st visit: We ordered the pickle egg rolls as a starter and it was awesome! My wife had the chicken and waffles, both of which were a little dry. My son and I ordered burgers (mine was the polish burger with kielbasa, sauerkraut, Swiss and a pierogi). We ordered them medium rare and they both came medium-well. The beef was of good quality so it was still juicy. I had to wait for a pop refill but decent service overall. I love that the menu has some different flare to it and is good quality. Would definitely try again. I'd give them 3.5 stars and rounded up to give them benefit of the doubt. read more

I have been going to the B1 for several years at different times of the year. While the food is good; it's the service from a couple waitress/bartenders that is terrible. These young ladies seem to only focus on customers that they know or who they like. Everyone else has to suffer there I'm better than you attitude. I recently visited again; even thought I have told myself that there are better places to go. Well, once again, the blonde waitrerss seemed like why are you sitting in my section. I had an empty beer glass, she saw it was empty, walked by, and was about to walk by again when I had to ask for another beer. I asked if they had a specialty bottled beer and the look I got was are you stupid, why don't you know we don't have this beer. I finished my food and had to track her down to get the bill. I usually tip over 20%, but today it was a 10% day. Doubt I will go back anytime soon. read more

A white trash moment! Yesterday was Monday most of the restaurants were closed I drove by this restaurant and I thought I've been in there before it wasn't so bad so I went in for lunch. I was greeted by "what are you drinking?" " I don't know let me see a menu I'm not sure what I'm having." The bartender/waitress walked by and dropped a triple fold-plastic, kind of on the greasy side menu. When she returned I ordered a Greek salad and a draft beer Michelob light. She returned with a draft beer With a single millimeter of foam on top, not very appetizing. Where my Greek salad arrived I was astonished at the size, it filled with huge Super Bowl must've been an entire head of Romain lettuce, some nice looking cheese on top and around the side a skimpy layer of tomato wedges; sliced onion ; three or four olives it was skimpy! Get this I was halfway through my beer if she wanted to bring me another beer and I said may I have some silverware please no silverware she came by slid it on the table and continue to by. As I was trying to get through the bulk of the salad I asked her for some pita bread. "we don't have pita bread."" A slice of French ?" Hold on... she walked out of the kitchen with a frozen piece of white sliced bread in her hand , no dish or napkin and slid it onto the TABLE! in front of me . If all of that weren't enough to make you disbelieve that it could happen the bill came and the The Greek salad was priced out at $17.00. That was an out rages price for some guy cooking in the kitchen who couldn't make a salad and a waitress who just called her self the "bar waitress" on the bill! didn't know how to serve a customer! Awesome food and service! We ordered the pierogis which were crispy, hot and delicious. It came with a horsey type sauce. My husband ordered the short tri cheese sandwich and loved it and I got the beyond burger with Swiss and sautéed onion. Fries were so hot and crispy! read more

I didn't care for the food. I ordered the supposedly lake perch was all skin. Asked for no salt on my fries had a ton of it. The waitress flew by so fast I didn't have time to tell her. Great atmosphere. I don't know who the chef is, but the tacos and calamari were cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend!
