The food was okay, if you're looking for a place to eat and leave right away, then this isn't it. My boyfriend and I came here for a lunch he got the beef sandwhich with egg and I got the vermecilli bowl pork with an egg roll and it took about a good 30 minutes to get our food. I was a bit bummed that I ordered milk tea with boba, to find out later after I receive my drink that there isn't any. We also had a Thai tea it gave a kick at the end but was good as well. If you are more of an ambiance person you would like this place. Overall it wasn't too bad but I've had better Vietnamese food. read more

They are open late when we are looking for a good vietnamese foods such as Pho and fried rice.

If I had to sum up this place in three words it would be delicious, quaint and calm. If you're driving along 1960 and not looking around, you might miss this place. It's located in a shady looking strip but when you walk inside, it feels like you're on the good side of town. The style and decor is vintage and very cute. They play oldies music. We felt like we we walked into the 1950s. It was nice. The ambiance is so calm and quiet. It's a small space and can seat about 35-40 people. You order and pay at the counter which is different then most pho restaurants. Silverware, water and condiments are also self serve. They have it placed in a corner. We had a grill pork rice plate, steak and meatball pho and shrimp spring rolls. It cost about $24 for everything which is very reasonable. Their spring roll peanut sauce was so good. Probably one of the best I've had. Their pho broth was on point! The only downside is that they don't offer beef tendon as a choice of meat. The flavors of the grilled pork was delicious too. One of the best pho restaurants on the north side of town. We definitely recommend it to others and will be returning. read more

I go here often and order the Tofu stir fry rice plate and the tofu spring rolls, both are delicious. The spring rolls will fall apart on you though. I occasionally order the veggie fried rice but there aren't enough veggies for me. read more

The outside of the restaurant is so cute but the shopping center looks sketchy. However, the inside is also nice in its own way. Now getting to the food!!! OMG..... the food is amazing!! Everything we tried was delicious. There was only one young lady taking orders and bringing out the food, so service was a little slow but we didn't mind. A lot of people were coming in to pick up their orders as well. Oh and you do have to order first and then they bring your food. The #1 rule about Phở is that it needs to be served real hot. The Phở ga that I ordered is not even hot and there is no flavor or smell of Phở. The place looks smaller then in the picture, definitely not 6' between tables. We sat at one of the tables near the front and people are almost touching us every time they walk by. The photo that you see on yelp shows with all the chairs tuck under the table that is why it looks big. When I walked in, I didn't see a sign about wearing mask is required but most of the customers walked in there has their mask on which is good. I don't think I will go back anytime soon. read more

This place was far for me but I had to try it out as I saw some nice photo posted on their instagram. I tried the pho bo vien, banh mi and their chili-basil wings. Pho is pretty good not too bad honestly. Banh mi was delicious and crunchy! Basil chili wing was perfect both a little spicy and tangy and comes out fresh and hot. I have been ordering from Ba Mien Bistro for years. I have order sandwiches, vermicelli bowls, egg rolls.... Food is always delicious.

I'm kind of shocked that this place has such great reviews. I did come here previously for pho, and it was on par with most other places. But their banh mi was exceptionally disappointing. The bread is soft and chewy as opposed to being crusty. Normally I'd think that could be good thing, but the chewiness of it made it tougher to bite through. The carrots and cilantro were in big tangled clumps, so every time I took a bite, I pulled out all the cilantro. I like to think I eat like a normal person and not a monster... The tofu was fine. But overall, the sandwich was very dry, had way too many carrot strings, the vegetables really lacked any flavor/pickling, and the bread was too chewy. Also, when I tried to pay by credit card for it ($4.88, even though on the menu the sandwich is $4...not sure about the math on that), I was told that because it was under $5 I needed cash--there wasn't a sign, by the way. Didn't have cash and since she wouldn't budge for 12 cents below $5, I bought a hot tea. Kind of annoying. Bottom line, I was pretty disappointed as a whole and won't bother coming back. read more

Quaint little bistro. Very great place to enjoy pho. Diving up to this establishment will probably have most people turning right around, but give them a chance. The service and for was exceptional. Well, all but the fried rice. It was dryer than the Sahar dessert. But that wasn't the focus of or stop, it was ordered on a whim to sample more of the options they had to offer. Stopped by this little hidden bistro on a whim. French style decor, super cute cafe setting. The girl who took my order was so sweet. I order the pork bowl ( no peanuts) and a pork bahn mi with fried egg to-go. Took about 15 min for my order to be ready. The sandwich was good, I like the taste of the pork along with the pickled vegetables. It was definitely filling and for 4.50 a good deal. Even though I have had cheaper for the same quality. The bowl was delicious as well, same meat as the sandwich. I think the restaurant should invest in Togo bowls, would have made mixing the ingredients easier. Also, more noodles. Came in 15 minutes early one morning, didn't realize that they opened a little later than most at noon. Was promptly greeted by the nice gentleman at the counter, who was busy stocking supplies for the day and immediately assisted me once he noticed my presence. He told me that they didn't open until later- but he still took my order which I appreciate. Some spring rolls and nice bowl of chicken pho. I thought it'd be quite a bit of a wait, so I went over to the barbershop across the street for a fade- and 35 minutes ended up passing by. At that point, I was convinced my food was going to get cold, which wouldn't be anyone else's fault but my own. To my surprise, the moment I came back, they immediately went back to alert the kitchen and informed me my food would be right out. How nice of them not to serve it to my table while I was gone! And right after, a nice hot bowl of pho came out to greet me. Now I've been eating pho since I practically came out of the womb- Vietnam is my home country and I've had my fair share of authentic cuisine. The broth in this pho was particularly clear- a sign of really good chicken stock. The chicken was your standard pho cooked chicken, the flavor mostly coming from the broth itself. And the broth itself was really good! Very flavorful and not too salty. Spring rolls were good! Not much to say here besides the fact that they tasted fresh. Will I be coming back?
