This is the one Thai restaurant I would go in Sonoma County (as if there were many choices). Their pad thai is spot on, and there coconut soup is the perfect "amuse-bouche". The pumpkin curry is great! Try the lunch special where it comes with a couple small fried springrolls & sweet sauce - a good combination. The other lunch specials that I've had were good combos as a reasonable price. I've also liked the papaya salad and the honey pork salad. They do charge extra for brown rice. They automatically bring you a coconut-based soup to start; my friends like it but I don't. In that case they offer a small salad instead. The friends tend to get some really spicy dishes and they really like the drunken noodles. The decor & atmosphere are nothing great but the food is good. If you want to get to the restroom, remember to get they key from the server and be prepared for a long trip. So disappointed. I just moved to the area and I'm trying to find good Thai food. This is not it. The num tok (grilled beef salad) had no flavor and was tough. Just had dinner here with the family and we all enjoyed what we had. I ordered the pad thai with tofu and medium level spicy. Wife ordered pumpkin curry and we got an order of the spring rolls / egg rolls and everything was delicious. I've had take out from this place at least 5 times so far, and every time has been great. They're efficient and courteous, the portions are good sized, and the food is always delicious. Currently the closest thai place to our house, we liked this little spot. Not many tables in here and they were actually pretty busy with takeout I noticed. Service was OK and it took a while for the food. It was good but nothing amazing. We would absolutely come here again because it's convenient and prices were reasonable. Their chicken pad thai here compares to no other Thai restaurant in Sonoma County! The price of their pad thai is $10 but it is well worth it, especially for the portion they serve! The waitress/host is extremely polite. You won't catch yourself asking for condiments, utensils, or even a cup of water because she is always on top of it! Great vegetarian yellow curry and pad thai!

Having just come back from two weeks in Thailand, I've been looking around for authentic Thai food in the SR area. Baan thai is about as close as I've been able to find. Second visit to this neighborhood Thai place, this time for take out. The menu is more extensive than most, so likely you will find something you like, it may take a couple of tries but there is something for everyone here. The special board has some interesting stuff, but we focused on the regular menu. There are a few choices of fresh rolls which is nice but the execution is just ok. The wrappers were a little dry but the main disappointment is no peanut sauce. The sweet and sour green sauce is pretty good but I think most would prefer peanut. The stir fried noodles are also just ok, not much wok char and the veggies a bit over cooked. The shrimp in the shrimp and asparagus was pretty good but the sauce was a bit watery. We really enjoyed the grilled pork chop, fatty but flavorful. The brown rice was standard. Overall, a serviceable option for Thai take out, not our go to spot in the neighborhood. read more

Ordered $60 worth of take out all with chicken, got it home and everything was tofu. Might be a problem with the online ordering system, or an honest mistake. We were hungry and home at that point so we ate the tofu. But it was disappointing, and I probably won't go back. The food quality was decent but not excellent.
