An hour later and here I am sitting with the most beautifully poached coconut salmon dish perfumed with Thai basil and ginger, a delicate side of white rice, and a punchy green sauce on the side (maybe cilantro or basil and ginger?). Tipp Thai offered heat levels from 3 star to 10. So we both ordered 7, because we are not afraid of heat. When my friend got home from picking up the grub, we started in on the Pad Kee Mow dish.. Man.... I've never been more disappointed... the heat was absolutely there, no question... but maybe I should have asked for them to leave the actual spices in the dish.. Those typical spices that are usually in this delightful dish were NOWHERE to be found.. This was sooooo disappointing !!! Heat yes.. Spice and flavour?? Absolutely NOT.... We also ordered the fresh salad rolls .. The fella who cashed my friend out and also took the order stated that the salad rolls didn't come with Peanut sauce as they usually do in every Thai restaurant I've EVER been too.. and Unfortunately, the salad roll were also bland, and missing flavour .. They tasted like had arugula in it.. Granted I really do like arugula in specific dishes or salads... but damn... Needless to say, we couldn't eat them.. They were gross.... Went to Tipp Thai for dinner this week and was chagrined to learn the restaurant is under new ownership after the former owner retired in Dec. 2025. So sad. I've enjoyed plenty of fantastic and authentic Thai meals there in the past (especially the mango salmon and Thai eggplant dishes) and I was looking forward to another, but was very disappointed. The food was really bland and absolutely boring. No spiciness whatsoever! Honestly, it was the worst Thai food I've ever had. Super solid Thai home cooking from a family owned restaurant. One of the few places I've found a saucier Pad Thai- not everyone's preferece but my personal prefernece. Excellent curries and soups. Portions are generous. We found it odd that we were the only dine-in customers on a weekend evening, but the host/server, who appeared to be the dad, was very hospitable and helpful and we were very happy with the food. My wife and I we're in the mood for Thai food and were impressed by all the nice Yelp reviews. We initially were looking for a dine in experience but came to find they only do take out. The gentleman working there provided great customer service as I imagine he's the owner and very knowledgeable about the menu. My wife is vegetarian and he was able to have the Red Curry without fish sauce. Same with the Drunken Noodles. I liked the curry. I've been here twice now for lunch and both times the restaurant was empty . Naturally I was a little wary but both times my meal has been fantastic. The couple who runs the restaurant is kind and I like to support small businesses like this one! I have now tried the Shrimp Pad Thai and the Pumpkin Curry, and both were flavorful, fresh, and portioned well. I'm gluten and dairy free so I appreciate that I can eat several things on their menu. Brought my family here to try Thai food for the first time since they were unfamiliar. The Chicken Pad Thai and Beef Rad Nah were spot on. We also ordered the prawns for an appetizer. The packaging was a little weird because they wrap the curry in foil and put it in a normal to go container when it seems like it would make more sense in a soup container. Bummer we had to throw away some of the sauce because of this packaging. We also got the chicken larb which had a nice spice level to it. Worst Thai restaurant ever!!!!!!! Just moved to the area ordered drunken noodle and red curry. Tasted like 100% salt, then see there was a long hair. Curry was also awful no flavor. Called to get refund, the guy who is walking around in flip flops says " the food is not wrong no refund" I try to explain very calm he hangs up, I call back he then say bring the food down, I bring the food then takes 15 min and gives me $20 of the $40 bill back, he literally says you ate some of the food !!!??? Not only was it not very full (especially for what I paid) there wasn't much flavor.
