She has two office admins who are very quick to respond to emails, help with appointments, and prescriptions. If need be, they also speak Korean fluently. Spravato is offered for in person visits and a private room with a reclining chair as well as soft music is provided along with heart rate monitoring. Please note that their in-person office hours are before 4PM on weekdays.

I told him not to let her know, but I am going to come and surprise her, to see her and the new bundle of joy. I was kind of surprised because she wasn't due until next month. Baby arrived early. So, I went to see them. Signed in at the front desk, got a pass and went up on the elevator. As I walked in, my friend was so surprised to see me. We both burst into tears and they were tears of joy! I got their baby girl flowers and balloons. The nurse was changing the baby's diaper and mom was exhausted and was under some pain killers. She had a C-Section. They named her Victoria. Baby weight 7lbs, 12 inches. A healthy, bouncy, baby girl. Office staff were very attentive, helpful, kind, and gave excellent care for the baby and the family. I also gave birth to our son here at this clean, beautiful facility and just went down the memory lane. That was almost 30 years ago. Has parking structure, Starbucks, Vending machines, few eateries, Cafe, few restrooms in the lobby, the main lobby itself was pretty clean & big. They have a cafeteria, gift shop and I am sure other amenities on different floors for patients with different conditions. Thank you staff at Kaiser Permanente. You guys are AWESOME!!

I am not easily pleased, I'll admit, but if I could give 100-stars to him alone, I absolutely would. He was calm, clear, and allowed every step of my pregnancy to be without stress despite having placenta previa and other concerns. When I went into labor, the nursing staff was also absolutely superb. Being my first birth, I was all over the place but their cheerful and hopeful energy helped me deliver naturally like friggin champs. They were very confident, which made me confident. I actually bought them all gift cards afterwards bc it was such a dream to have a team who listened to me, respected my birth plan, did the epidural well to where I could squat and do 8 other positions before pushing. If I lived closer, I'd deliver my 2nd baby here but overall, I HIGHLY recommend. My 2 main nurses were Sonia and Grace. Thank you, guys!!!

Our doctor, Movses Karapetyan, was unsympathetic, rushed the appointment and I got the sense he was uninterested in answering our questions. I understand the staff here is busy but really we felt dismissed and ultimately made the decision to travel to a different Kaiser for a second opinion. I was misgendered on the doctor's notes in the KP app and when I asked to have this corrected I was brushed off and my pronouns were never changed, regardless of my correct legal gender being in the system for years without issue. That said reception and pharmacy were very kind and helpful.

His broad scope of expertise, humanity, tact, and sense of humor have made a lasting positive impact on my life. Like most of his other patients, I can say without hesitation that I consider him and Peggy to be a part of my extended family. I will never forget receiving an unprompted call from Dr. H late in the evening many years ago after they learned of a sudden health crisis that my parent suffered. Thankfully, my parent's crisis eventually resolved; but that brief check-in from Dr. H touched me deeply. I knew that I was not alone and that he genuinely cared. Unheard of in modern medicine, when you call their office after-hours and connect with the emergency line, the phone rings at Dr. H's house. They trust their patients not to abuse that access; but the small number of times that my family needed it, Peggy and Dr. H were on the other end of the line, providing useful information and reassurance, even at 4AM. My experience as a patient of Dr. H's played no small role in my own journey towards becoming a physician. I often find myself trying to recall one of his totally unique and pithy one-liner jokes when I need to break the ice with a new patient. With covid and how things are run differently now, communication is KEY! Peggy sent me all the health forms that needed to be completed in a timely manner via email. She was wonderful at responding to my emails, and she made things so easy! They went out of their way to see me in person in a really short notice as my visit required necessary clearance for my nursing program. They only have certain days for appointments but she made an exception for me as my work schedule conflicted with their in-person office visits. Peggy also sent me my labs on a Saturday as I requested if she could send it to me as soon as they receive it.. they are closed on Saturdays and she did that for me (I am so grateful!). I also want to say that I drove from Monterey Park to Dr. Horowitz's office on a Friday during the time that there is so much traffic (traffic alone in this area if you already know is hideous) but I would do it again!
