Shortly after entering this establishment, I realized I had dinner in this building before, but the last time was several years ago (was Naples Pizza & Pasta back then, in 2018). Everything had changed, decor was simple and rustic now. Anyway, we ordered lunch. Conversation between us was strained because the music was a bit loud (albeit, it was a decent genre, 70's & 80's Rock). It took a while for the meals to arrive to our table, even though only one other table was occupied at that time in the restaurant. Our waiter was a bit inattentive also (or maybe inexperienced ?). I had to get up to ask him for some plates for our mozzarella stick appetizer, some ice in my wife's Iced Tea, a bottle of ketchup for my Mother In Law's French fries, and the coleslaw that was suppose to come with my Mother In Law's meal. Food was alright though, not great, but not horrible either. I don't agree with the 4 & 5 Star reviews for this place though, maybe breakfast is better, but that certainly wasn't what I experienced yesterday during our lunch. I imagine I still might be back someday, because it's close to where my Mother In Law lives and there really isn't a lot of choices nearby. A weak 3 Star Rating for now, I'll write an updated review when we return for breakfast sometime.

I ordered a chicken dish with mixed veggies and rice, along with hummus & pita (not pictured). The food had a lovely blend of spices and the hummus was truly the best I've ever eaten.

We talked to the owner and he told us that he designed and built the restaurant himself -- that's awesome! We came around 8:45pm, and there were maybe 2-3 other tables sat as well. The owner came to tell us the menu (I don't think there is a physical menu to read off of). We ended up getting the hummus, cauliflower, lamb shank, a beef-stew like dish, and a fish. I really enjoyed all the menu items we got, and found it to be very aromatic and flavorful. A few things to note: -this restaurant is cash only, so make sure to come with some cash on-hand -water/drinks aren't provided, but there is a refrigerator at the front from which you can buy a drink from -the wait is quite long (we didn't leave until around 11pm) I would recommend trying this place if you aren't in a rush. It's an interesting experience and good food!

Our food was SO delicious (4 different entrees & 2 appetizers) and the service was perfect. We were not rushed so had time to catch up with our friends over a delicious meal. This time we tried the fava dish, lentil salad, rice pudding, sausage appetizer and falafel. Surprised and delighted with how light and crispy the falafel was! We learned Egyptian falafel is made with fava beans and not chickpeas. The sausage appetizer came with a very flavorful tomato sauce for dipping homemade pita bread. Hummus was also very creamy and delicious. The evening was rainy and cold so we were the only customers making it feel very cozy. The owner and chef was accommodating and shared memories of growing up in Egypt. We enjoyed our time very much. Food is a step above typical Mediterranean. p.s. updated review to add pictures from our first visit. We fell in love with the mint tea, lentil salad, French fries, and pita wraps with tahini dressing.
