If you find yourself in Bonney Lake after 9pm on a Monday night looking for a place to eat and drink, just go to Babalouie's because they are open. When I saw the colorful neon name of the place, I wasn't sure what it was, but I soon found out. It's a sports bar-kind of dive bar type of place with pool tables and plenty of seating at either booths, tables, or the bar. The menu has a decent number of selections including apps, burgers and sandwiches, salads, and pizza. We ordered a works pizza and drinks. The pizza was pretty good bar pizza with a fair amount of toppings, and the drinks were worth it, as the bartender was good with the pour. The service was fair with the amount of people she was handling. Take note, if the place is really busy, I could see the possibility of it getting backlogged. The prices are average, but they are more on the good side of average. I love that they have a pinball machine! read more

We frequent many local establishments & gave this place a second chance. The positives: Food good. Cold drinks. Service attentive. The glaring negative: They so overcharged us. $70 for two people?! What is this?! Cheesecake Factory?! And we didnt even order any steaks! Just 2 Happy Hour items & Happy Hour priced draft domestic drinks! C'mon! Came to this local bar for a friends 21st birthday to have a couple drinks and then move on to a bigger bar. As soon as we showed up my friend yelled its her 21st birthday and the bartender on her smoke break yelled "she's alittle too waisty pants to be served here" we were about to walk in with about 13 people on a Monday night. We thought she was joking at first but she wouldn't allow us into the bar. My friend didnt even have a drink yet. One of our friends that was waiting in the bar before we all got there was told by the bartender that she didnt want to deal with a 21st birthday, and she didnt want to clean up throw up. The bartenders said they can't keep tabs open at the bar (which every bar does on a Saturday night) they also turned off the juke box that customers pay for. Smells pretty weird. Also, they cut you off well before your limit. read more

I have had an excellent time every time I have visited! The staff is freindly and prompt. They have 4 or 5 pool tables and I have never had a problem finding one to play on. They have televisions for sports and are huge Seattle team supports! read more

We used to love coming here, this was the kick it spot every weekend. But when they hired this new blonde staff it completely changed. The staff is rude, me and my wife came and the waitress laughed and said "only have one menu" and threw it down. I had to walk to the bar and place my order because it was apparent she wasn't coming back. When our food did come our pitcher had been empty for awhile and we had to ask the different waitress for a refill. Then during our whole stay not once did our rude waitress stop and check in on us. I hosted my friends bachelorette party and we planned on bar hopping in Bonney lake/sumner area (mind you we were ubering to our destinations) our first stop was Babalouie's after we had gone out to dinner. There was a group of 7 of us (all girls) we came in and sat down. The song "get low" came on, and of course we all got up and started dancing we were looking for some fun music to dance to and we found it. Some friends tried to go to the bar to order drinks and they said no the wait staff will have to come out and take your order, (it's a bar, why why would it matter where we ordered from) but okay. So then the waitstaff comes to our table and one of the girls orders her drink, and the server says "no, that's not gonna happen" she also said she wouldn't serve anyone in our group and she will bring out a pitcher of water. The server was extremely rude, and completely ruined the night, as that that was our first stop. I do not recommend this place and I will not be returning. read more

I used to go to this bar all the time on the weekend with friends. It used to be fun, not so much anymore. They hired new bartenders and quite frankly they are just completely rude. Went here for the first time last night for a friends birthday. What a horrible experience all together. It smelled like a combination of burning heater/ electrical, and a port a potty. There was throw up in the sink in the bathroom which took over an hour to clean. The pregnant bartender had a huge attitude, not coming over to the end of the bar and also does not how to pour a Guinness. The only reason I give it a 2 was there was a waitress/bartender lady that kept asking if we were OK (short brunette). Will not be back ever. read more

I've been coming here for years, and mainly enjoy the atmosphere and the regulars there. A great hang out place on a Friday or night, but with that said the only real negative is they recently went through a turnover of waitstaff at least for the Friday and Saturday night scene. The waitresses Friday - Sunday nights are extremely rude especially that brown haired bartender with the tattoos. It used to be the Friday night hangout spot but now I believe that the new waitresses are driving away business. Been sitting at the bar for 15min waiting to get some pull tabs while waiting for my food. The skinny blond waitress (Kara ) should be fired. A couple of ladies came in after me and for tabs, and played the game i was going to play. The waitress got them tabs and they pulled them all and got more before i was even helped. This waitress must know them for them to get such great service while other customers are ignored. This has happened multiple times. And now she is hanging out with them ignoring her job. I went here with a friend before seeing a movie. The service was terrible. All of them acted obligated to help us and were extremely rude. The service time was long. We waited 20 minutes until she took our order then another 40 to get our food (which was cold). We also played pull tabs. The woman running it ignored me every time I went up there. I had to literally wave at her and say hello to get her to even acknowledge me. She was too busy talking to the people she knew sitting at the end of her section of the bar. This place is not good. Their staff is rude and not polite. I was at the BLT down the road and they were closing up. The staff there is always so nice! I was told to go to Babalouies because they are open later. I had a friend in town and wanted to show them around. Once we arrived at Babalouies they were extremely rude. Went to the counter to order a beer and we were indecisive, trying to decide but werent sure what we wanted. The bartender made a comment rudely about how indecisive we were and she had other people to take care of. Mind you there were 6 other people total in the bar. She didn't smile, wasnt kind and acted as if we had done her a disservice by coming in. It was only 10:00 pm. After the first round I told her we would take our check and go where people actually like us. She told me I didnt need to say that. We did get our check and went to the Peking bar. They were so kind and welcoming. Upon discussing this with other people aorund town. I am hearing a lot of people say the same thing about this place. I brought a group of roughly 20 people in last weekend for a birthday party. I came in WEEKS before to reserve enough room for everyone. Called the day before just to confirm. I did my due diligence and lo and behold the day of - there was nothing held. We had to put a bunch of tables together on our own in order to accommodate everyone. All their "regulars" were well tended but the group of 20 something potential new customers that spent hundreds of dollars were too much of a bother. My sister in law accidentally left her scarf that night. I went in a few days later to pick it up for her and the two bartenders were FAR too busy to help. We won't be back. The Bonney Lake Tavern may be a shithole but at least they are attentive and give a crap. read more

I'm honestly stuck between 2 and 3 stars I give three because there are a few bartenders that give excellent service, others have bad attitudes or you wait 5 years for service. Other great qualities this bar has going for it is the 4 pool tables and other arcade games to play. The other issue I have with this bar PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PAY SOMEONE OVERTIME TO CLEAN THE BATHROOM! It stinks up the entire bar so it smells like a toilet you leave the door open to the bathrooms for some reason? I'm always closing them when I'm there. The bathrooms are honestly foul boogers and fecal matter on the stall walls I don't always sit on the toilet I squat and pee.
