My friend and I came to this establishment for drinks. The bartender lady with the ponytail was hostile, rude, unpleasant, and being a racist. Her demeanor changed from the other customer before us to being ignorant and only looking at tge color of our skin. This lady assumed i was another customer in a previous encounter that was hostile to her. Clearly, all black people don't look alike. Her demeanor changed when it was time to place our drink, which she became a ignorant racist. I was going to rate Scotty's five stars, but it's a dive bar. You can't really count that against them, but I feel like five stars has to be reserved for those super standout culinary spots. Ya know? The 4 chicken strip pieces equaled about $4 each which is insane considering the size of pieces. And the $10 cup of mac n cheese is crazy. I'm not saying it's not good, but not worth it. Stopped by with son for a cold one and food. Checked in online and got a 15% off coupon on the phone. Ordered a couple of PBRs (4 x $2 each for $8), Natchos ($9) and BBQ chicken flatbread thing ($8.50). Waitress was nice at first but it took approx. 20 minutes for food. No big deal even tho only approx. 8 people in the bar. Food was ok but when time to go I showed her the 15% off coupon. She acknowledged it but came back with bill for $25.50 + tax of $2.14 $27.64. I told her she never took off the 15% and the owner overheard us and told her to take care of it. She then came back with same bill and we again told her it was not right. She then brought us back the ticket for the third time for $34 and said the Nachos were actually $14 (not the price on the menu) plus a Visa charge of 50 cents. Tried to explain to her the bill was still not right ($25.50 - 15% = $21.68 + tax of approx. $1.95 = $23.63). Bartender lady got all pissed off and argued with us when we pointed out the 3rd bill was different than the first two incorrect bills. She finally slammed down $6 on the counter and told us we could have it and brought us the first bill again of $27.64. Son took the cash back to her and told her to keep it. Left her a tip of $2.36 (approx. 9%) which was way over what I should have left. A hell of a way to treat customers with lying, not providing the Yelp 15% coupon, and generally being a jerk. Boss should fire her for being so rude and deceptive in trying to charge us more. We will NOT be back. Avoid this place or at the very least double check, no triple check, your final bill. read more

Apparently it's a fairly new place in town. Talked to a really nice lady that was either the owner or manager and she was really helpful. We went in on a Friday to see a band and got there pretty early to get a spot. Drinks are priced well and they have good food/drink specials. Manager said they have bands every weekend and there's no cover charge there either. Also looks like karaoke Saturday. We had a great time there and spent a couple hours watching the band which was great. Only missing one star for the food... It wasn't bad by any means, but I was hoping for something a little more. If you're just needing some greasy bar food then it is perfect. We'll be back for sure. read more

I'm not sure who the lady with the short hair was, but she was extremely rude. My group of 8 people entered and there was only 4-5 older men in the bar.... on a Saturday night (not including the band). The only reason we came in was to get drinks from the bartender who is really sweet and gives good deals on booze. Not a huge deal, but it was super awkward that the short haired lady came and sat next to our group at the bar and kind of interrupted our conversation with the bartender. It was just weird. Anyways, around 1:35am she came up to me and asked me if "we were with the band or something" (obviously our group of 20 something year olds wasn't with the 40+ year old "rock band" members) and told us "it was time to go, the bar is closing" and I told her that we were just waiting for our friends to finish their drinks. She came back a few minutes later and told us to "get the F*** out". Another lady chimed in and said it's "2:00am we're closed", but the clock in their bar is purposely set 15 minutes fast, it was 1:45 sharp when we basically got booted out. Our group was super respectful the whole time and to be honest, the old biker looking dudes were probably more rowdy than us. On top of that, I had to wait till the band stopped playing to go to the bathroom because I was scared of getting smacked with a microphone by the "singer" who was flailing his arms with his back turned to the "audience". Aside from getting cursed at for finishing up our drinks, the crappy bathrooms, and placement of the band, it's an okay little dive bar. I personally will not be returning, EVER. I would understand if we were there 15-20 minutes past closing, but it was the opposite, so it's ridiculous that we were treated like some hoodlums causing trouble and refusing to leave the bar. read more

I order Doordash a lot! So, I thought I'd try something different. The pics looked great and the descriptions sounded good. I was so disappointed. The fries were cold, dry and tasted like old oil. The blt had a lot of bacon as promised, but it had little flavor and was very chewy, like eating jerky. So it was difficult to eat and very blah. The side salad was $7.50. It was tiny. And there was confusion on the app, so since I didn't want meat I ended up with lettuce and cheese only (no tomatoes, etc). That may have been my fault but the selection was confusing if you didn't want to add protein. The dressing cost extra. I ate a few of the fries and some of the salad. I did eat the whole sandwich, because I was hungry and couldn't start over ordering a new lunch, while at work. So bummed. read more

I spent my evening in search of a Caribou Lou (151, Malibu Rum, and Pineapple Juice)..I went to Johnny's and they didn't know what it was or have pineapple juice....then I went to Main Garden and they didn't know what it was and also didn't have pineapple juice....I was contemplating just ending my search and going home to basque in my sorrows. When I was here I was pretty hammered from the other five bars in downtown Puyallup. But what I do remember is there was no one in here on a Saturday night. My group was it. My wife and I are Puyallup natives and love going to Scotty's. It's less crowed than the other bars in town with the same stiff drinks. And their new menu is killer! I had a friend from out of town who I was treating to dinner, he said how about nothing fancy maybe a bar with good good. I had been to Scottys several times before so I chose it. Fish and chips was on special so we both ordered that. What a Big Mistake that was. The menu said it was cod what we received was fish portions and it was no better than generic fish from like Wal-Mart? It was like fish sticks, definitely not cod. It was so bad I didn't even eat but a half of piece. That was not the worse part of the experience. The cook brought over the soup which was chowder to my friend after awhile I asked him if the order went in for two? He said my bad and brought my chowder, I looked at it to see a green bean in it, I said oh wow I've never seen green beans in chowder he then put his gloved finger in my soup , I asked what are you doing, he said making sure it's not the bay leaf. By the way the chowder was the only good part of the meal. The cook stood at our table telling us how he works two jobs he has hurt his shoulder was going to therapy etc. Like we were friends? Also that same cook my friend and I seen him take out a small garbage can from his area, dump the garbage out back came back in went straight to cooking wearing the same gloves. Never removing them or washing after taking the garbage out. YUK!! The Bartender had to be reminded of things several times, however she did apologize saying she was really tired was having a off day. I have eaten there before and had excellent food, but Do Not Order The Fish!! And I will never eat there if that same cook is cooking!! They use to have a cook named Shirley they should go back to her, she served Excellent meals . He has a very cocky attitude and personally I don't want to hear about all your problems during my meal. read more
