Super fresh and filling nothing bad on the menu. Ordered online and food was ready in a timely manner. My new favorite restaurant

The food was good. The staff were super friendly. The restaurant is small but cute. The bakery was closed so it had more seating for those that didn't have a seat in the restaurant. We ordered a Shawarma wrap combo and a falafel wrap. The fries were very flavorful. The lemonades were delicious! We wanted pita but they were out. I loved the vibe and music in the background.

The atmosphere and ambiance is amazing. The food is out of this world! They worked quickly and got our food to us in a few minutes! If you haven't tried Baba's then you need to! They have so many options, cafe and bakery! Run, don't walk to Baba's Pantry!

Came here with some friends. It was such a wonderful and warm place to visit. I'm Jewish and my heart is breaking about what is going on everywhere in the Middle East whether it's happening to Muslim people or Jewish people, the innocent people are suffering because of the governments. It is nice to come to a place like this that celebrates Palestinian people and feeds the community while celebrating and enjoying a peaceful meal. Everything was absolutely delicious and there were plenty of options for us, meat-lovers, and our vegan friend. We took some dessert all the way to California because it was so delicious. I strongly recommended it.

Amazing food and friendly service. Came on a Sunday afternoon around 1 and having never been there had a lot of questions all of which were patiently answered. We ended up sharing a kebab wrap with added garlic sauce and a hummus plate with falafel. Everything was absolutely delicious. No notes! It was busy and it's a small place but we found a seat in the adjacent bakery area.

I do not eat hummus a lot but this place had a bowl that was for me if you will. I tend to be picky with eating foods that are not traditional cuisine and not because they are non traditional but because I have favorite things. Hummus is one of those rare favorites. Me and my wife shared a fruit drink and I'm big on those. I think it was a vanilla pineapple lemonade. The pantry gave the same vibe a coffee shop would but more socially interactive.

Excellent food and amazing staff. It's clear that patrons are well respected and looked after when entering this space. The pita wrap I ordered was very tasty, and the Palestinian salad was incredible. Do your diligence and come support this establishment! Food: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Experience: 5/5

Got out the house and went on a friend date with Amelia! I have been DREAMING of coming here and I'm glad I did. I don't even remember what I got but it was hummus and it was delicious. The people are so kind and welcoming! Thank you!

Baba's Pantry in Brookside is a whole vibe. The moment you walk in it feels like stepping into someone's family kitchen. The space is colorful, cozy, and welcoming, and the staff greet you like they've known you forever. The food is incredible. I had the chicken shawarma wrap and fries, plus the hummus bowl topped with juicy, spiced chicken. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful, with just the right balance of tangy pickles, creamy tahini, and herbs. The falafel was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, not dry at all. Definitely some of the best falafel I've had in Kansas City. Do not skip the lemonade. They switch up the flavors daily and both the raspberry and pomegranate were perfectly tart and refreshing without being overly sweet. It pairs beautifully with all the rich, savory flavors on the menu. Baba's Pantry is more than just a spot to eat. It's a place filled with culture, community, and pride. You can tell every detail is intentional, from the food to the décor to the "Everyone Welcome" sign on the window. This is the kind of small business that makes Kansas City special. Highly recommend for lunch, takeout, or just hanging on the patio with good food and good vibes.

I've had an eye on this restaurant to visit for a while, but somehow I was craving for Middle East in food. We made a 30 minute drive to this place and absolutely do not regret it. First things first this place is on the main road, but there is a US Bank parking on the side of the restaurant because there's no parking in front of the restaurant An absolutely amazing artistic place bright colors. Everything in house made the family is running this restaurant you would see baba making sure every customer leaves happily there's plenty of snacks, sauces, and appetizers along with some desserts are kept in front of you to pick up. Their menu is extremely simple yet very special and different compared to anywhere I've had the similar food We got baba ghanoush trust me. This was having a very different touch of their in-house recipe. We did give us a hint of spiciness along with all the other flavors. It was it was delicious. The pita bread was warm and soft. We got cardamom lemon tea can complain on that. We got Baba falafel Richard stuffed onions with Somac something that I would go back again for the chicken Shawarma was tender juicy chicken with everything that you can ask for what a beautiful place there were people standing in queue, even though there was no seating just to pick up the food and go. I could see why they come back here often go visit this place if you're around this Neighbourhood.

Baba's Pantry is a find! Local and family owned restaurant, serving Palestinian food. We had the falafel and hummus platter- hummus was creamy and the falafel was perfectly cooked. We also had the falafel pita, chicken shawarma, and beef pita sandwiches. All so tasty and perfect tang from the pickled veggies. Couldn't leave without trying the pistachio olive oil cake which was so moist and not too sweet. Final review: 5/5 stars, great stop for lunch and also take away

I walked into Babas Pantry thinking I knew what good food was. I walked out humbled, emotional, and extremely full. We ordered with reckless abandon -- like kids in a candy store if the candy was made of perfectly seasoned meat, crispy falafel, and Middle Eastern comfort food. Sliced beef kebab wrap (all the way), falafel, creamy lentil soup, sweet tea with date syrup, tropical lemonade, and baklava. No regrets. Zero. Let's talk about that wrap. This thing was a full-contact sport. Juicy beef, charred veggies, every sauce known to humanity, dripping down your hands, your chin, probably onto the floor. You're gonna need napkins. You're gonna need emotional preparation. It's worth it. The falafel? Hot, crispy, fluffy inside, drowned (in a good way) with creamy sauce and bright pickled sides that cut through everything perfectly. The lentil soup was rich, smooth, and comforting in a way that makes you pause mid-bite and just nod to yourself like, "Yeah... this is it." The sweet tea with date syrup is straight-up genius. The tropical lemonade tastes like a vacation. Both are dangerous because you'll finish them way too fast. And the baklava... listen. Crispy, flaky, nutty, honey-soaked perfection. Sweet without being heavy. Balanced. Beautiful. Easily some of the best I've ever had. On top of all that, the service was incredible. Laura is an absolute gem -- patient, warm, and genuinely happy to be there, even while we ordered half the menu like maniacs. Babas Pantry is dangerously good. The kind of place that rewires your priorities. I would cancel plans, lie to people I love, and strongly consider morally questionable decisions just to eat here again. This isn't just a meal -- it's a craving that sticks with you. Absolute must-visit. No notes.

Baba's Pantry has amazing authentic cuisines. They make even their lemonade in house free from additives and a rotation of new flavors everyday. The fries are absolutely delicious. The service is great and the decor displays their culture nicely.

You feel welcomed the second you walk in, and somehow that warmth makes its way into the food too. I've tried just about every Mediterranean spot in Kansas City, and this one stands out every single time. It tastes the most authentic and the least commercial by far. Everything feels fresh, intentional, and made with care. Nothing tastes rushed or mass produced. There's real love in the food here, and you can taste it. Their dolmas especially take me right back to my grandmother's kitchen. That kind of food memory is hard to put into words, but if you know, you know. Comforting, fresh, flavorful, and made in a way that feels deeply rooted and genuine. With the World Cup approaching and so many people coming through Kansas City, visitors need to know about places like this. These are the local spots worth seeking out. What really stood out, though, was the fava plate appetizer. It's a dip that comes with pita bread but it's not like hummus. You could eat it with a spoon. It could be a meal, a very tasty one. You order at the counter, then wait at your table, listen to some middle eastern grooves and a short time later a super friendly server brings your food. The place is great!

Not your typical round shape but more of a tube/long shape which really works great for dipping them in tzatziki. We also had grape leaves which come warm. Yummy! We had a chicken shawarma and gyro entree. Both came with rice, salad, pita, and hummus. All very good. My one criticism is I prefer my protein sliced more thinly instead of a thick cut. It's a texture issue for me. The thicker, the chewier. The chicken also had a bit of chewy skin. It could have had more flavor. Still good but this is what made my review 4 instead of 5 stars. I thought the gyro had a little more flavor than the chicken. You order at the counter and then they walk your food out to you when it's gone. Our two appetizers came out very quickly. Our entrees just a few minutes later. Service was smooth and very good. The guys working there were all friendly. Great service! The restaurant is very clean, plenty of seating, and lots of appropriate artwork. It was cold in there but it was really hot outside that day so they had the air turned up. It did make my dining in experience a bit tough since I couldn't escape sitting under an air vent but I don't really want yo criticize them much for running the air in a hot day. That's better than the alternative. On the way out I got a small variety pack of baklava and a rice pudding. Both really good! I'm still eating the baklava. I really like being able to get the variety! It's hard to choose. We would definitely go back again. On the way out, we saw 2 gentleman with gyro salads. Wow, it's a huge bowl with gyro piled high! Looked fantastic and I want to try the gyro salad now!

It was a small touch, but it immediately conveyed a level of attentiveness and professionalism. The highlight of the evening was the service. Kareem was exceptional. He didn't simply take our order--he guided us through the entire experience. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, from explaining dishes in detail to recommending wine pairings that complemented the meal perfectly. He checked on us consistently without ever being intrusive and genuinely made us feel welcome. He wasn't just selling food; he was representing the restaurant and the overall dining experience, and he did so exceptionally well. The restaurant itself strikes a wonderful balance between sophisticated and approachable. It feels upscale without being pretentious. I appreciated the attention to detail throughout the space, including the beautiful brass accents above the bar. The patio looked inviting, although the summer heat made indoor seating the better choice during our visit. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, and every dish we ordered was outstanding. Some of the selections were served chilled, which likely contributed to the speed, but nothing felt rushed. The quality and presentation were excellent. My only minor caution is parking. Depending on when you arrive, you may need to park a couple of blocks away and walk. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's worth planning for. If you're unfamiliar with the area, it may be helpful to call ahead and ask for parking recommendations. We didn't have reservations and were dressed casually. The hostess was friendly and welcoming, and we were seated in what was referred to as the "other dining room," down a dark hallway into a musty, warm, and humid space. Service was prompt and courteous, but the food was very disappointing. We were served a cucumber salad that oddly tasted like peanuts, followed by six completely flavorless meatballs--no seasoning at all, not even salt. The prices might be reasonable if the quality matched expectations, but it didn't. The contrast between the main dining room and the "other room" also felt stark and uncomfortable, as if it were a second-tier seating area. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant based on this experience.
