This is a textbook hidden gym and I would eat here everyday if I could!! I called in to Mediterranean Grill to order a Gyro and Greek salad for lunch. When I went to pick it up I came in and my order was ready and bagged up. I paid and drove home. Upon arrival I sit down to enjoy my lunch and notice there is no Pita. I called the restaurant back and asked if their Gyro typically comes with pita, she put me on hold to go and ask. She came back to the phone and advised that yes it should have come with the pita and apologized and said I could come back to pick it up. I begrudgingly drove back (now halfway into my lunch time) to pick it up. Upon my arrival I asked if they would give me a something like a Baklava or a cup of Mango Lassi for my inconvenience? She went back to ask the owner/manager and came back and said, "I'm sorry, she said that was not possible, but I can give you a cup of water". That seemed like a slap in the face to offer me a cup of water to compensate for your mistake. After all that, in regards to the food, the gyro meat was rather dry and the lettuce was soggy. Unfortunately, I will likely be going to Olive Cafe (which is in the same shopping center) in the future when I am looking for Mediterranean food. read more

Got the butter chicken and garlic naan based on reviews I saw here. Next time I will call and order ahead, but it was so worth the wait. Super delicious sauce and the basmati rice is perfectly seasoned and seems to somehow be both subtle and bursting with flavor in a great balance. The fresh ingredients, along with generous portion (multiple meals, and I love leftovers!) made the price seem acceptable. Next time I will order it with a little more spice - they offered but I wanted to start with regular just to get a baseline. Stopped here for lunch on Monday, June 3rd. I ordered the lamb mandi with yellow saffron rice. The lamb was so tender that it fell apart when trying to use a fork to eat it.. i had to switch to a spoon. The two sauces that were provided were both delicious. I covered my meal with both. What a gem! I came with my family and we started with baba ghanouj and lentil soup--both were solid, especially the baba ghanouj. We ordered the Aruba's Special Mix and it was a perfect amount for 3 people and we are comfortably and happily full--it came with 2 beef kabobs and 2 chicken kabob skewers and both were delicious. It also came with a side of the most delicious beef-stuffed naan--it was definitely my family's favorite thing on the table, especially with the spicy sauce on the side, so fresh and delicious. I also got a side of French fries (because I swear they're better at ethnic restaurants), which were yummy with the garlic sauce. The dessert was warm cheese kunefe and I was truly in heaven. There was a beautiful cheese pull and it warmed my whole soul. The cherry on top was that the chef is an adorable smiley lady who came out to check on us. When I took my soup to go, she even gave me more lentil soup to go with it. I think she also makes cakes, as someone was ordering a cake from her for the next day. Her husband took our orders, so it is a delightful family business. The only negative thing I have to say is that the restaurant is cold, but I quickly forgot when the food arrived (just bring a jacket). I would be excited to come back! read more

The food and service at this small, family-run business were stellar during my dine-in lunch visit. This is truly a new and hidden gem. I sampled several items including their hummus, the baba ghanouj, the fresh salad (with a good variety of veggies and a tasty dressing), the warm and fresh pita bread, the decadent cheese kunefe dessert (enough for two), and the mint tea. All were delicious, and flavor-packed. The chicken shawarma with fries ($8.99) included a wrap packed with plenty of tasty, moist, premium chicken, while the fries were meaty and not greasy (just the way I like them). The wonderfully charming service from the owners (Aruba and her husband) was the star here. It was like having your grandmother lovingly prepare some of her family recipes for you. Finally, a very good Indian Restaurant in South Kansas City, MO! KTM/ Mediterranean Grill. I have eaten their food now 5 times. The first time I ate-in and ordered the tabbouleh, Lamb Baryani (I asked for spicy) and Garlic Naan. While I was in the restaurant there were 5-6 to-go orders picked up and two of them were pretty large (big containers and multiple bags). So the Baryani portion I received was HUGE. The lamb was tender, the rice well seasoned and I broke a tiny sweat so it was perfect for spiciness. The Naan was moist and there were 2 salad plate-sized pieces that were chewy/bread versus some places where it is dried out and cracker-like. The Tabbouleh was very good although I think a little heavy on the onion. I ate there for $30 and have enough for 3-4 days of left overs. Such nice people working at KTM, too! I also have tried the Nepalese Momo (dumplings). I was not very fond of them, but I am more partial to steamed Chinese pork dumplings. Excellent food! read more

My wife spent a couple years in Jordan so we frequently try Mediterranean/middle eastern when we get a chance. We were so glad we did. Ordered the stuffed pita (stuffed with a delightful beef) and chicken shawarma for lunch. SO GOOD!!! Some of the best hummus we have ever had, the shawarma was excellent as well. What a wonderful recommendation! One of my colleagues recommended this place, said of all the Mediterranean places he has tried in the area, he thought this was the most authentic and closest to Jordanian food. We drove 25 min on a weeknight, for dinner, and did not regret it for a second. It was well worth the drive. The couple who I assume were the owners, the sweetest people, were serving and I think cooking in the back too. The food was great - we ordered the Aruba special grill which had rice, skewers of grilled chicken cubes, beef kabobs and flat bread filled with ground beef (we would call it qeema naan in Pakistan). The meat was tender, moist and flavorful! Came with an assortment of chutneys which went well with the meat. We also had the baba ghanouj w/pita and kunefa at the end. These were both yummy and very satisfying. 5 stars for the food and the people! Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends! First off started with bad service. The waiter finally took our order didn't bring us our hummus, drinks or silverware.. served half the table and the other half sat for 15 mins.
