This place is one of my wifes's favorites and we always go here when we are looking for some tarry Italian nearby. The overall feel of the restaurant is nice although when they are at busting with people it can get a little loud and crazy. The food is good, we usually get the Buffalo chicken sandwich and lemon chicken. We love the bread here too. So gooood! The staff is always friendly and helpful not matter how crazy it is there. Even when things are packed we've never had bad service. We have at times order things to go and that's were we have hit a little bit of snag. The FIRST time the order was delivered it was the wrong food then after waiting an additional hour the second delivery was a burnt to a crisp pizza. It was completely inedible. My husband called the restaurant and no one there was able to help him or credit his account so he had to get in his car and drive the pizza back to the restaurant and insist on a refund. Not a fan. Every time we go here the service is less than friendly. It's my daughter's fave or we would never go back. She enjoys the kids' plain penne Alfredo. How is it possible to mess up an order every single time? 97% of the time they screw up my order. I work near by and order at least 2-5 times a month. The two stars are for the food alone! Their service is terrible, not sure of her name but the woman who seems to be the manager that's usually at the register is very rude! I have heard this from two other people who have experienced the same worst service from her. You cannot be rude in the hospitality business. Babbo's has been our favorite place for lunch or dinner for the past 2-3 years. I eat a very strict diet -- no gluten or grains, no vegetable oils, no sugar -- which eliminates 95% of all restaurants for me, within our budget. We've been able to find delicious salads at Babbo's, and come back here as often as we can. We would eat here more often, but we struggle to close our business before 9:00pm, so we can't eat out on weekday nights. We bring guests and friends here, and recommend, for example, the chopped gorgonzola salad (sub flank steak for chicken for $1-2 extra). After 3 years eating at every restaurant here in our local Arrowhead area, Babbo's remains our favorite and our first recommendation. read more

Really good place if you are looking for something different and are going with people who want the same old thing. They have the classics like spaghetti and meatballs and some creative dishes. My family and I have been eating here for many years and it saddens me to say the service and quality of the food and customer service has gone down hill in recent years. Tonight I ordered dinner online at 7:08 and was provided an estimated time for pick up of 25 minutes. After stopping at the store to get a few things I go to pick up my order at 7:35. The lady behind the register questioned me several times what name it could be under and couldn't find the order. After checking the kitchen, returns to say "it's pasta, it's going to take a little longer since that's mostly what goes out" me?? What? You're an ITALIAN restaurant, of course you serve a lot of pasta. Keep in mind there are several open tables, drinks waiting at the bar for over 5 min, and several to go orders picked up and served while I waited. Finally 20 min later the manager hands me my food after it sat for 5 minutes. I shared my displeasure with the wait time when I was quoted 25 min online, her response "we have been quoting 45 minutes on the phone" well that's great, but I ordered online. Never an apology, just stated she would tell the general manager to update online response times. Unbelievable. In reading through several posts it sounds like management doesn't care about fixing any of the issues reported. Not sure we will be giving our hard earned money for this overpriced food, that spilled out of the containers by the way. read more

I want to love this place. It's a great concept but seems to be poorly run. Local neighborhood "Italian" type fare, "inexpensive", tasty and convenient. Except it's none of those. Ordered food to go, added sausage to my pasta and they charged me $6, okay, except I got barely any sausage, maybe 1/2 a link. Now I'm sure this isn't sausage from Schreiner's, Beeler's , Tenderbelly, or Iberico pork. It's maybe AZ Fresh, Arezzio, or Fontanini if we are lucky. But that costs about .72 per link, they gave me 1/2 a link so their cost is .36 which is about a 5% COGS for them, successful restaurants typically run around a 30%, man their killing it. Not to mention the pathetic $12.50 for what amounts to a bland side of spaghettini, maybe 7oz of pasta and lemon wedges that were taken from the bar. No bread with my order, and both "entrees" were bland, very bland, the spaghettini was an oily mess. Also I showed up early so I could have a beer while waiting for my food, after waiting for almost 10 minutes to be acknowledged the bartender or manager told me they close at 8. I didn't ask for a well done 16oz steak, a freakn tap beer 3 feet away from you. It was 7:58 and there were 20+ people in the restaurant and 6 others at the bar. Guess they like turning away business. Sad excuse for hospitality. He gave in and gave me a beer, total was $44 for a beer and two pastas, one with no protein. Don't blame Covid, inflation, cogs, higher wages, U guys are straight robbing people and it's disappointing. No, I'm not some "Karen" on a Yelp power trip, I'm an annoyed consumer. One who happens to oversee and do costing and menu development for 38 restaurants around the country. I hate Yelp, but I also hate being ripped off. I also hate that we write up or fire staff for turning away guests and here you have a manager saying, "we close at 8" because they are too lazy to pour a beer. SMH. Good luck with your new location. This place used to be good but the food is half-ass. Olive Garden tastes way better. The staff is pushing people out a few minutes past closing. I was trying to finish up with desert and they wouldn't serve us desert. It was only 6 minutes passed and this big family was only half way through their dinner plus there was five other families in there still. This place lacks customer service. Good food. everything tasted amazing. I was looking for the nutritional facts for the restaurant since there are a few in the state but could not find anything on their website. Since I am trying to stay on the healthier side, I got the steak and tequila salad hoping it wouldn't be over 700 calories for a regular serving. I am so glad I did. It was fantastic. I normally don't get salads going out to eat. I had a larger groups and everyone loved their food. the calzones are huge and tasty. Multiple times I've tried to eat here and have been treated very poorly. Every time, we stand waiting to be seated for over ten minutes where the wait staff all look and refuse to acknowledge us. The food here is amazing. Best spaghetti and meatballs we've ever had...seems a bit pricey except for specials they run for Babbo's Insiders. Sorry I had to knock a couple of stars off, the last 3 take home orders have just not been the same. The quality and care that used to be there is fading....can't put my finger on it but the last 3 orders have been incorrect and the ingredients have changed and are just not as good. Lasagna, too much cheese. Spaghetti with meatballs - not as fantastic. Still worth it though, as long as its 6.99. Update: I ordered another take out order tonight, another big disappointment. You guys were so good for so long, what on earth has happened?!? They said my spaghetti and meatballs would be ready in 15 minutes but I arrived in 10 and immediately checked out. Two minutes later at home, I had to microwave my order. Literally, as though it had been sitting for over an hour, it was cooler than room temp. Ugh, and I even opened my good wine for it. I'm so disappointed at the decline in care/quality over the last year at this location, particularly in take out preparation. Bread was sub-par too; thinly little end piece with no seasonings.
