We didn't have reservation and went there on Saturday night, so waited for 45ish mins. Overall the food was 4/5, but the service was 5/5. The owner introduced the menu seriously and asked multiple times about our experience. My favorite was the pizza which I forgot the name but might be called "fabio" something... The burrata and mortadella was so good and the pizza dough was also amazing. The bolognese was ok, and margherita was good but not wowing me. They treated as a dessert and though we were full but still thought it was good, the cream was light and not too sweet.

Fabio on Fire is a small, casual Italian spot offering pastries, gelato, paninis, and pizza. Unlike their other location, this isn't a traditional sit down restaurant with wait staff. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to you. The service is great, and the paninis are amazing. I love their pizzas too, but the paninis really steal the show. My favorite is the Piccante. The mild, creamy cheese paired with sweet caramelized onions and spicy salami creates the perfect balance of flavor. I highly recommend checking it out. It is so worth it.

I love this spot! We have never had a bad meal at Fabio on Fire. From the pizzas and pastas to the gelato, nothing disappoints here. We always enjoy the ambiance, either inside or on the patio, and are always met with top-notch service. My favorite dish here is the bolognese. It is hearty and filling and I typically get two meals out of it thanks to their generous portions. We really enjoy this lovely local gem.

Felt kind of stuffy walking into this place... almost uncomfortable from the stares. The hostess finally came and asked if we had reservations...2x... to which I replied (both times) - no. Finally seated... waited about 15 minutes before someone came to greet us and take our order. Ambiance- honestly not my favorite cup of tea- was very loud.... could barely hear the music. Food: check out the pictures attached for what we ordered and what we rated it... average place... pizza and meatballs were the highlight of our order. Would I come here again- no. Feeling slightly uncomfortable can change the mood of an entire evening- including dinner.

Their food was truly fabulous and took us all back to a nostalgic memory of Italy! Their food is authentic, their service is impeccable, and their restaurant is esthetic. I highly recommend you call to make a reservation to be sure you get a table!

Amazing the selection of dinner items. We were a party of 3 and this was our first time trying their food. The server we had was so awesome. She wanted to know what food allergies we had at our table and was able to assist us with the food. Restaurant was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. I loved my ravioli stuffed with short ribs and sauce. So delicious

We were craving Italian and found Fabio On Fire on Yelp. Since we'd never been there before, we decided to give it a shot. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and with the nice weather, we chose to sit outside. The tables were a bit close together, and there wasn't much in the way of decor, but it had a relaxed vibe. Our server was super busy--seemed like he was handling all the tables--but he was still really attentive. We ordered the Calamari Fritti with Zucchini, Lobster Ravioli, Salsiccia E Funghi Pizza, and Capricciosa Pizza, plus some gelato for dessert. The calamari was a little small and crunchier than we expected, but everything else was delicious and nicely plated. Glad we found this place--definitely coming back to try more!

Visited here for a weekend lunch with a friend. The atmosphere so cute, like a cafe in Europe. I just like the furnishings and decor. The food was wonderful. I really loved both the pizza and the pasta. The pasta was very rich and incredible. The tiramisu was gigantic and oh so delicious. The service was wonderful as well :)

My buddy and I stopped by Fabio on Fire | Pizzeria Italiana for dinner. Located in a shopping center, parking won't be a problem. The name of their restaurant makes me think of the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Fabio commercials back in the day. IYKYK. Fabio was definitely on fire. Service (4.5/5): We were seated close to the open kitchen and our waitress did a great job throughout. She was friendly, checked in on us, and gave us recommendations when we asked. She's also a Michigan fan so you know that's a winner in my book. Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much a traditional neighborhood Italian restaurant. What I expected in the 'burbs. There aren't a ton of tables but it's homey and welcoming. Drinks (N/A): I had an Arnold Palmer so not much to report here. Food (4/5): I had the braised rib ravioli which was delicious. The braised rib and the pasta were tender and the pasta sauce was creamy. They complimented each other well. My only complaint is that the portions size was relatively small and overpriced for what you get. But still delicious. I finished things off with the gelato where I was able to pick two flavors. I went with the watermelon and the cookies and cream. The watermelon was delicious and you can never go wrong with cookies and cream. Perhaps my favorite ice cream flavor of all time. If you're looking for a solid Italian meal in Peoria, get lit at Fabio on Fire!

Tried Fabio's for the first time. I definitely understand the hype. The artesian style sandwiches and bread were amazing. The serving size is also pretty large and very shareable. Really small restaurant mostly meant for takeout but definitely worth the trip. They also had a ton of gelato flavors which just looked amazing. Next time we're going to try dessert.

While the service was adequate, the food more than made up for it and quickly became the highlight of the evening. We started with the Sicilian Strada Board, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Beautifully presented on an impressive five-foot board, it offered an abundant assortment of flavors and textures. From the perfectly crispy calamari and creamy polenta to Tomaso's signature meatballs, every item was thoughtfully prepared and incredibly flavorful. The artisanal cured meats and cheeses paired wonderfully with the bruschetta, Roman artichokes, Sicilian olives, and sweet fig jam, creating a memorable appetizer experience that was perfect for sharing. We also ordered the Cured Meat and Cheese Board, which was equally impressive. The selection of artisanal meats and cheeses was excellent, complemented by fresh grapes, grilled ciabatta, Roman artichokes, olives, and fig jam. Every bite felt carefully curated and highlighted the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients. For my entrée, I chose the Cacio e Pepe, a classic dish executed beautifully. The freshly cracked black pepper and pecorino created a rich, velvety sauce that coated the pasta perfectly. Simple in concept yet incredibly satisfying, it was a wonderful example of how a few high-quality ingredients can create something truly outstanding. The cocktails were also exceptional--easily a 10/10. Expertly crafted, balanced, and delicious, they complemented the meal perfectly and elevated the overall dining experience. The Sicilian Butcher offers a vibrant atmosphere, generous portions, and food that genuinely impresses. While the service could have been a bit more attentive, the outstanding cuisine and phenomenal cocktails make this a restaurant I would happily return to again and again.

It came with grilled ciabatta, arugula, shaved red onion, and a Calabrian vinaigrette. The burrata was incredibly creamy and paired perfectly with the tomatoes, while the crunchy ciabatta added a wonderful contrast in texture. My husband chose the Sicilian meatballs, which were served over creamy polenta with rustic marinara and grana padano, also a very solid dish. For our entrees, we had the hot honey & smoked prosciutto pizza and the strozzapreti, a pasta dish with herb-roasted chicken, mushroom, spinach, parmesan cream, truffle, and pine nuts). Both were fantastic! The pizza nailed that sweet and savory flavor profile, and the crust was absolutely perfect. The strozzapreti was also delicious -- rich, creamy, and packed with mushroom and truffle flavor. Last time we visited the North Italia Phoenix location, the pasta was a bit too soft and lacked that proper al dente bite, but this time it was cooked flawlessly. Unfortunately, the desserts were a letdown. We tried the hazelnut torta and the tiramisu, but both were overwhelmingly sweet. The tiramisu tasted soggy, like it had been sitting in the fridge for a long time instead of being freshly made, and the chocolate balls on top felt unnecessary and cheapened the dish. The service was also a bit of a mixed bag. Somehow our desserts were brought out before we had even finished our entrees. As a result, the ice cream on top of the hazelnut torta just sat there melting by the time we were ready for it. It made the end of the meal feel rushed, like they were trying to turn the table over quickly.

The food, decor, and ambiance are fantastic. My family and I ate at L'Amore 2 nights in a row, and had we discovered it earlier in our vacation, we would have gone every single night (not kidding). While we've had equally delicious meals at other restaurants (all over the world), we have NEVER experienced such friendly, accommodating and welcoming service as what we received at L'Amore. I said to my husband "this must be what it feels like to be a member of a private club", and he agreed. We have an adult son with autism who will only eat a few dishes at restaurants. I called several restaurants to see if they serve chicken tenders and french fries; ALL of the restaurants we called said no-- until I called L'Amore. When I explained our situation, I was connected to the kitchen, explained our situation, and the chef immediately asked his staff if they had any potatoes to make french fries. (French fries are not on the menu). They said yes, and the chef said they'd be happy to make french fries for our son. When we arrived at L'Amore that evening, the owner/manager came by our table to welcome us. Our server, Sal, could not have been nicer, and addressed our son by his first name all evening. His co-manager assisted our son in accessing his iPad via their WiFi. When we returned the second night, the young male concierge welcomed us by name (even though we hadn't told him our name yet), and both managers visited our table that night. Sal was helpful in navigating the menu, recommended a wine by the glass that is typically only served as a bottle, and was incredibly kind and attentive all evening, without ever being intrusive. My husband and I were so moved by the kindnesses shown to our family. We'll never forget it, and look forward to returning to L'Amore on future vacations. It happened to be a little under twenty minutes away from us so we decided let's do it & they were open late. Hell yeah. There's not a crazy amount of pastries but the selection was great. We got two tiramisus, one vanilla custard lobster tail, some mini cannolis, & the wedding cookies. Everything came out to about $50 so beware, prices aren't exactly cheap. But for one, if you're going to do "bad" then do it right & we also shared with our family of 5 so plenty to go around. & Holy cow, everything was incredible. So indulgent, decadent & rich in flavor. My nephews liked the cannolis, personally they're not my favorite, but if you're into it the mini's are a great option to quench the craving. The lobster tail with the vanilla custard took me by surprise. I didn't think I was going to care for it, but the cold custard was refreshing & the flakiness of the bread was crazy, my taster buds were confused by the textures, but in the best way. They complemented each other well. My ultimate favorite was the tiramisu & the wedding cookies. I honestly wish I had gotten more of the wedding cookies, those things took me back. I grew up eating the Mexican ones & the Italians did it right *applause* But damn, the tiramisu was to die for. I would order that again & again. Perfectly chilled, the dusting of the cocoa powder didn't taste like nesquik--incredible. At first the price had me thinking if we were doing too much, like damn, should we have just gone to Sprouts bakery? But after being able to indulge in a great quality dessert, it was worth every dollar. My only feedback, careful when you're paying at the register. If you're not paying attention, the tip automatically defaults to 18% on the tablet. Only thing I didn't care for. I could see if I was eating at the restaurant, but I just popped in to take pastries to go. So, that was kind of annoying. The service was fine, the girl that helped me was nice, but again I just pointed at desserts I wanted & went home. The location is part of the main restaurant, but it has its own entrance & little room making it feel separate to the Sicilian Butcher. They also carry gelato which I haven't tried yet. I believe they have little tables to sit at also. Highly recommend checking this out so save room for dessert!
