I am on a mission to find the best NY PIZZA in the Phoenix area. I have a list and making my way through. I've found some really bad places and some good ones. I've even have found a couple that were really good, but still missed the mark. What am I looking for? It's hard to put it into words, but if you're from NY, you know. There is a crust, sauce, taste, cheese and oiliness that combines in a way that only a NY PIZZA can do. Like I said, if you know you know. That's what I'm looking for and guess what, I found it in this small family owned place in a strip mall on 59th Ave off the 101. It checked off all the boxes I listed. Everyone was friendly, food came out in good time fresh and hot, like burn the roof of your mouth hot. Also got the wings and I was back in Buffalo NY. Also had an antipasto salad which was plentiful with lots of meat, peppers, olives, etc. perfection all the way around. I will continue trying places, but Stevie's is the bar that everything else will be compared to. Also I will be back because my final test will be for consistency. We stopped in at lunch time and went for the 2 slice and a drink special. NY cheese pizza is the best and Stevie's didn't disappoint! They had slices available so.no waiting except briefly for a run through the oven. No flop and excellent slices. Next visit we will order a whole pie. We'll be back for sure! read more

This was our first time picking up from Stevie's. We've lived somewhat in the area for years but hadn't had any friends that tried it, so we were always hesitant. That was dumb of me. This pizza was amazing! We had a large half pepperoni and jalapeño, half cheese pizza and a dozen medium wings (kids can't take too much heat). Everything was perfect. Pizza was delicious and the toppings had perfect proportions, not over or underwhelming. The wings weren't "too" crispy and weren't soggy, just perfect. Even the medium sauce on the wings tasted amazing and was exactly "medium". We'll definitely be back as this will be our new go-to pizza joint! Also, the service was wonderful. Great pizza, solid caesar salad. Sometimes, our family calls on the way over and grabs a takeout pie and salad for an easy dinner, and they're always reliable. Husband and I tried several slices today. They were mostly greasy but not terrible (this isn't uncommon when getting pizza by the slice). The pepperoni wasn't really anything ground breaking and the sauce was bland but the buffalo chicken pizza had a good buffalo sauce. Good pizza, fast service and very nice staff. Ordered 2 pepperoni slices and 2 supreme slices. When you order a supreme slice they take a cheese slice and put the toppings on top and put it in oven. Great idea! I like that the slices were on the thinner side and crispy. As far as flavoring it was great a bit on the salty side but not in excess. Also ordered mozzarella sticks that were a good size with lots of cheese and the seasoning was really good. Plenty of parking; available right at the front too. 2 small table and bench seating right outside, perfect for my husband and I and our pug. Prices are fair especially for the huge slices! There are quite a bit of pizza spots in our area, but Stevie's New York Style Pizza's positive reviews on Yelp stood out to me, so I thought I would give them a try. We ordered a large half white and supreme pizza. Their white pizza is yummy, but I wish there was a bit more flavor. We also ordered salad and their 24 piece zucchini. Their fried zucchini tastes good but the size of their zucchini pieces are inconsistent. Perhaps adding more small zucchini pieces would be good because the small pieces are half the size of the normal-sized ones. Other than that, we were pleased with their food and would definitely come back! We love the dough of their thin pizza. I grew up on Long Island, and as a result I am very picky about NY style pizza. Most places don't make the cut for me, but Stevie's has been my go-to pizza shop since relocating to Glendale. The crust is the best I've found in AZ, the ingredients are excellent so the cheese has the right mouth feel, the quality is consistent, and the staff are wonderfully friendly. It's a small shop, so don't expect to take the little league to dine-in for a post-game celebration. But you will be hard pressed to find a better New York pizza anywhere in the west valley. My recommendation: large pie (red or white) with pepperoni, meatballs, and garlic. read more

Is Stevie's under new owners or management? We ordered take out and it was not the same. It was incredible! I mean don't get me wrong... they were always good in the past but it has absolutely stepped up! We ordered an extra large half pepperoni half cheese pizza. Two slices of their combo pizza and 6 and 6 fried zucchini and mushrooms. We originally wanted to order their appetizer sampler but it is no longer offered. Somehow they gave us 12 zucchini and 12 mushrooms! It's the little things people we were super excited to say the least. My husband thought the sauce tasted a bit different but better.
