Imagine the perfect sandwich and beverage in the midst of quiet people as you hum along to an outstanding set of old school tunes. This is The Goat, situated in the outskirts of Boulder-proper and with almost ample parking. And if you also buying a car next door at Green Eyes Motors, you're in for a treat. Between the peaceful and straight forward buying process and this lovely cafe, I couldn't be happier. The furniture here at The Goat is comfy while the long table brings about a community feel. I had the Turkey Panini, Noosa Coconut Yogurt and a SanPelligrino Aranciata Rosa. I'm so happy I wandered to this part of town for a car and a meal :) LOVE IT!

This spot is awesome! Go get you some coffee! Even the burritos are awesome, especially for being pre made. The staff is really cool and will converse with you as well. Definitely will be back next time in Boulder!

This is in an interesting location, I was confused when I pulled into the parking lot of what looked to be a coffee shop and used car dealership. And I was right! The building is split by a small divider, on the left side a small car dealership and on the right "The Baby Goat" as it says from the outside, but is indeed The Laughing Goat. The door to get to the coffee shop is the same door used to enter the dealership. As far as a coffee shop, it serves its purpose. Espressos, cortados, etc. I got an iced matcha latte and sat down to do some work on my laptop. They have an open WiFi network (so no WiFi password). The place is small and relatively quiet, but I couldn't help feeling like I was in the lobby of the car dealership. My matcha latte was also very powdery and chalk-like tasting. Not twrrible, but I probably won't be back.

I love stopping at the goat on my way to work, or during the work day if I need a quiet spot to work away from the office. Staff is friendly, there is always plenty of parking, and while they do a brisk volume, they're quick and there is always plenty of seating since most of the customers are getting their Joe to-go. Glad there is such a nice cafe in a place that is otherwise void of coffee shops and restaurants!

Cortado - looks pretty but the espresso was not extracted well and the milk was pretty thin. Will try again another day.

Griffin is attentive, professional, and just an all-around fantastic manager - the kind of person who turns a good restaurant into a place you actually look forward to visiting. I've been here many times in a variety of ways--sat at the bar, at tables with friends and by myself, both inside and outside, and even experienced the large farm table prix fixe menu, which was fantastic. My experiences have consistently been great--the food, service, and atmosphere have always been top-notch. Tonight, however, was my first disappointing visit. I ordered the root vegetable bruschetta, which was very good. I also ordered the butternut squash penne pasta, a dish I've had before and really enjoyed. Unfortunately, this time it was extremely spicy. I'm not sure if the recipe has changed or if it was just a heavy hand in the kitchen, but it was not something I could eat. I mentioned it to the waiter, who didn't have an answer, so I simply asked for a to-go container. Since I couldn't eat it, I later gave the container to a homeless woman sitting nearby with her grocery cart. On my way out, I spoke with someone at the door who brought over the manager. The manager asked if he could see the dish, so I opened the container for him. He then asked if he could taste it and reached in, picked up a noodle, and tried it, saying he didn't notice anything unusual. He also wasn't aware of any changes to the recipe. I suggested that if the dish is now spicy, it might be helpful to note that on the menu so guests know what to expect. What left me disappointed wasn't just the dish itself, but how the situation was handled. There wasn't an offer to replace the meal or provide an alternative, which would have gone a long way. As someone who is only about six months into living in Colorado and a new business owner in the area, I often refer places I believe in. Tonight left me questioning whether I will continue to recommend Leaf based on how this was handled, though I'm hopeful that by tomorrow morning I may feel differently. That said, based on my many past positive experiences, I still believe Leaf is a great restaurant. I just hope this was an off night and that a little more attention is given to both consistency in the kitchen and how concerns are handled moving forward.

We'd already had dinner at home and stopped in for a drink and dessert. I mentioned this to the server, and from that point on the experience went downhill. I ordered a Happy Hour Cabernet Sauvignon, which was clearly about half the size of a regular glass. My husband ordered a ginger beer, but it tasted like sparkling water with syrup settled at the bottom, which he didn't notice until the end of the glass. My son's dessert was also priced $2 higher than what was listed on the menu. The service overall was incredibly lackluster. It was a disappointing experience at what has long been one of our favorite restaurants in Boulder.

We had heard of this cafe as they had been food hosts at a party at a Kühl on Pearl and were hoping to actually eat in their cafe when they coincidentally moved next door to one of our favorite local eateries. We were in the neighborhood around lunchtime so we stopped in when we arrived it was busy, by the time we left, it was packed. It's a unique menu fit for most palates and healthy as can be. It attracts athletes if all ages, healthy eaters of all types. You won't find much meat but there is some. It also as an Asian flair with offerings of congee and fried chicken sides, fish, rice and veggies of all sorts including kimchi . Japanese egg salad sandwiches too. That's one I need to try next time. Today we both chose the mushroom congee with 7 minute egg and a hot drink. A spicy chai with oat milk for my husband and berry hibiscus tea for me. We both enjoyed our meals but just a bit too much garlic for me but just right for my husband and must others too. I loved the volumes of mushrooms and the sprinkles of spices on the whole egg. The egg was done perfectly. My husband brought home a side order of popcorn chicken as I will be at a meeting so he will be eating dinner alone. The service was great, everyone friendly and helpful the cafe bright and clean and the ordering counter moves fast. They deliver to and clear the tables. More quick casual places should do this to avoid the piles of debris at bins in the seating area I often see. There is a flat panel screen on the wall featuring cyclists in the wild given that energy snacks were the first products of this company and much for sale here too. The mix of diners covered the spectrum of adults you would expect in Boulder. This cafe is only breakfast and lunch so come when convenient earlier in the day. Parking is free and always available in this center. Lots of construction around the intersection so plan your trip to get into the lot via Alpine and not Broadway. That Broadway construction will be ongoing for a while. It's also a good place to arrive by bike. Pricing was very affordable and variety of meals wide.

The drinks were definitely expensive, but we were happy to pay for a quality experience at an upscale restaurant. We ordered multiple appetizers, had several drinks, sat at the bar for quite a while, and honestly about to leave thinking this was a place we would probably come back to. That changed the second the bill arrived. Buried into the check was a 7% "kitchen surcharge." In other words, the restaurant decided to pass along kitchen payroll costs directly onto the customer without being upfront about it. If you're not paying close attention, you could easily end up tipping on top of that surcharge as well, essentially paying an extra hidden fee without realizing it. At a restaurant positioning itself as upscale and classy, this came across as incredibly tacky and cheap. Pay your staff properly and price your menu accordingly instead of sneaking surprise fees onto the bill at the very end. That's not hospitality. That's the kind of nickel and diming people expect from budget airlines, not a supposedly high end dining experience. It completely ruined what had otherwise been a nice night. We were seriously considering coming back before this happened. Now we won't return.
