We've been wanting to try birdcall for a while and finally decided to eat here after an evening event. I loved ordering through the tablet since we needed some time to decide what to get--ended up ordering a chicken parm sandwich, tots, Nashville tenders, nuggets, and a shake. We even ended up getting a free beverage, which was much appreciated. The food was pretty good, the only thing we may pass on next time is the nuggets since we got some tougher pieces. We'd also probably swap the Nashville tenders for regular tenders--the spice on those things will creep up on ya! Honestly, for this place being in Boulder, the prices were reasonable. Overall a win in our opinion. We'll definitely come back if we're feeling more like a fast food meal. read more

I was standing in Whole Foods looking at the wonderful pizza when these people behind me were chatting about Birdcall. This is a stand inside Whole Foods next to the pizza counter in Boulder on Pearl St. They take your credit card first then they have you build your oder. So I did that. As soon as I hit send I heard something that sounded like a jail cell door slamming shut. (Must Read at this point.) BirdCall has one person working in this place. It was like an eternity to get my order. I waited so long, Whole Food qualified me for the dental Plan. I waited so long I called my credit company to try too reverse the charge on my card and walk away. I could never wait for a meal like that again. The chicken was oily and average. The meat was good. The kid working by himself was doing his best holding back the ocean. I felt bad for him. This all falls on the management. Absentee owners. Next time I will stay with pizza! Visiting Boulder and decided to stop by for a quick bite. I got the extra hot Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and I thought the quality of the ingredients was high. The chicken was crispy and had just the right amount of heat (my friends seeing my sweat would maybe disagree, but I liked the spiciness). The chicken wasn't overly oily either, so it won't leave you feeling like garbage afterwards. What lowered my rating for this place was that while the sandwich tasted good, it was overly simple and relatively small (it's just bread, a pretty thin chicken patty, and a few pickles). This by itself would have been fine, but because the sandwich was a whopping $7.50, I was hoping for more. I did like the feel of the restaurant. It's clean, modern, and efficient. They even have a screen overhead displaying a countdown clock for your order on when it will be ready. Just a quick update. I do appreciate this location as my best choice in Boulder. If you are not looking for an inside dining experience with a bar for drinks and room for friends, but just want the best food Birdcall has to offer, this is your location. Whether you do take out or delivery, the food is fresh, ample and properly cooked, always. If you are here in person, the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. If you need delivery, carefully choose (the app makes it a bit hard actually) this location for Boulder. And know that Doordash has always done an exceptional job with the food. The 2 locations are barley a mile apart in distance but a long way in food prep, of the same menu with the same company ingredients. I will always choose this first if it is a Birdcall meal I need in Boulder to eat at home. read more

First time trying a Birdcall before, honestly never heard of one but that's not too surprising because I live in West Virginia. Food was amazing! I got the regular chicken sandwich, side salad, and peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake. Everything was very delicious! I'd come here every day if I lived close! The only problem I have with Birdcall is the pricing. The pricing of the food is a little outrageous. I wish it was more affordable so more people could enjoy. Besides the pricing problem everything else was good! The Birdcall is in the Whole Foods store so since I was shopping anyway I would try a sandwich. I tried their Southern Sandwich which was a chicken sandwich smothered in Pimento Cheese. The sandwich was very tasty and I really enjoyed the juicy thick chicken and the Pimento combination. On another day I tried their chicken tenders and they were a bit overcooked and not as enjoyable as the sandwich. So my recommendation here is to stick to the sandwiches! read more

Honestly I love coming here atleast once a week to see the crew they are so kind, always get my order right and I'm very particular and ask for things to be altered constantly. I've been to the Evans location, Downtown Denver, as well as the other boulder location and the customer Service here smokes the rest, isn't even close. Birdcall is great!!! I'm a chicken sandwich connoisseur and therefore I feel like I can contribute a valuable review. My golden standard of a chicken sandwich? Chick fil a. How does birdcall compare? It's better. It's like a more craft, less fast food version of chick fil a. The details: Bun - very good quality, dense and thick bun. Slightly warmed and toasted for some crunch. Feels more like a restaurant bun than a fast food bun if that makes sense. The breading of the chicken - not as thick as Popeyes, but thicker than chick fil a. It has a definite crust / breading and does not disconnect from the meat. It's homogenous and not hastily put together. I feel like a lot of places try and slap together shitty chicken sandwiches and the bread and chicken are not connected and it's just gross. Bird call passes the breading test. The chicken - solid, not poor quality and they do indeed rub in ur face that it's 100% natural or something idk nor do I care. Chicken is chicken so long as it's not undercooked or like fake / cheap and gross which bird call is not. Sauces - only have had their buffalo, it's basic, def franks red hot variant but it works rly well (unsure on ranch etc but I've had thumbs up on those from friends reviews) If I had to choose between the 3 legends of chicken sandwiches, chick fil a, Popeyes, and birdcall, I'd probably USUALLY go for bird call if I have the time, chick fil a is the gold standard, and we go to Popeyes on sundays. All in all, bird call is fantastic. I love their Buffalo chicken sandwich and tots. Only cons: it's not as cheap as CFA, but you pay for the quality. It also takes ever so slightly more time wise than CFA, but again, patience is a virtue. You're paying for a chipotle level somewhere between fast and not super fast food where prices and quality are obviously reflected. Bird call is my fav and I usually have it once a week or so. Been to this location several times and honestly blown away every time!! Affordable, super friendly staff, and most of all, soooo tasty! The first time I had one of their fake chicken sandwiches, it scratched this ITCH I didn't even know I had for a simple crispy, greasy, fast food chicken sandwich! I've been a vegetarian for 5 years and am so excited to get to indulge in chicken sandwiches again. My partner had one of the real meat chicken sandwiches and confirmed their deliciousness (fries were v tasty too). Also cheap?? I think it's like $7 for the standard chicken sandwich, which is CHEAP for Boulder!! Encountered one of the friendliest, most considerate staff members I've ever experienced at a fast food place last time I was there (on Black Friday, no less!). I put the card in my car and forgot about it until this week when I realized that I could try a Birdcall sandwich since the store had opened in Whole Foods. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the process was to order on the screen, easy through the payment screen (even with a promo card), and how quickly the order was completed. I've never had to wait long (usually not at all) after I do my grocery shopping. I've also visited the Birdcall in Boulder's 29th Street Shopping Center. It's a very pleasing space, but I think the Whole Foods Birdcall does a better job on the food - always fresh and well cooked. read more
