After hearing so much about how the wife loved her small little blanket from Baby Jade (purchased years ago from when they were still selling at the Rose Bowl), I finally decided at the last minute to order two large blankets for the wife. Since I was working nights, I placed my order early Sunday morning for two custom blankets. The next day I received a call from Tammy regarding my order and recommended a different color combo. Though a little reluctant (pictures on their website really don't portray what they look like in real life) I decided to trust her and agreed with her recommendations. To my surprise, the blankets were ready for pickup the very next day!!! With the holiday season, I would've thought it would've been a good 2-3 days before they were ready but Tammy jumped right on sewing the blankets that same day! I can't wait to see the expression my wife will have once I give her the two blankets since I know how much she loves her old small blanket she purchased a few years ago. I couldn't be happier with the quality and designs she offers. Glad I made the trip to actually meet her to pick up the blankets and will be back to purchase more for our friends with little ones. I first met Tammy when she was selling her blankets at the Rose Bowl flea market many years ago. She was so passionate about her blankets. I touched them and instantly fell in love with a purple monkey pattern blanket. The softness melted my heart. Each one is handmade by Tammy with amazing quality material. When I touched the blanket I can feel the love she puts into making it. I use it every day at work to keep my legs warm as I sit at my desk for 10+ hours each day. The small blanket has held up really well after all these years and still looks as if it was brand new!! I rave about my blanket all the time to my husband but I doubt he was ever listening. I honestly don't even know where to begin raving about my experience with Baby Jade. I was looking for a blanket for an upcoming baptism and Baby Jade was one of the first places that showed up on Yelp so I thought I would give it a shot as all the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and boy, were they right. The shop was actually under construction when I went in, but Tammy was nice enough to let me in and show me all of her beautiful, hand-sewn wares--I was literally spoiled with choice, every single blanket (both baby and adult sized) was absolutely gorgeous, expertly made, and amazingly soft. I told her what it was for and she helped narrow down my options and I left that day deciding on a beautiful pink argyle blanket set (with the most delicate personalized stitching). Despite it being my first visit there, I left the small shop feeling like I had known Tammy for years--I don't think I've met anyone whose passion and dedication to making people happy was so overt and honest; she truly made me feel like I was so much more than a customer buying her product. Tammy was so unbelievably accommodating and worked with me and my hectic schedule--she met me (very early!!) in the morning just a couple days later to pick up the beautiful blankets, despite having a full day of activities herself and just like during my first visit to the store, I was blown away by her genuine kindness and generosity. The blanket was absolutely gorgeous and was wrapped up and ready to go and I was honestly a little sad for the whole thing to be over--THAT is how amazing my whole experience with Tammy and Darren was. I wandered into this charming store off of Robertson Blvd. They have the most gorgeous handmade blankets, scarves and shawls. The owner Tammy is adorable,friendly and will custom make any size blanket in any colors or pattern. The materials she uses are great quality and amazingly soft! I bought one for a throw for the couch and my kids started frightening over it, so I ended up going back to buy one for each of my kids. We have used throw blankets in my homes ever since I can remember. All Purchased from the likes of Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, etc... and they have all been really great. However, Friday afternoon my wife and I discovered Baby Jade! This place is amazing! First of all they have every size blanket from a baby size to something for a king size bed.. ALL HAND MADE by the owner Tammy, who is an absolute ball of energy. I have never seen such great quality, selection and COMFORT! My wife would not share this blanket with me last night. Well. Let me start that I'm not your typical fuzzy blanket guy. In fact I would never have thought that I wanted one until I didn't know what to get for my birthday and it was staring me in the face. So I got one. The big one. And let me tell you that thing has become the single most sought after item in my home. It passes around to different beds of siblings / mom / etc on various nights. Needless to say we've bought more for friends and family. Just today I felt inspired to review (which I've never done) because not only to I get to make my wife's day on Valentine's Day by giving her very own big blankie the owners who are so nice went all the way downtown to get the color fabric and made it for me in time to give her the gift!
