After moving to San Jose I've been looking for a good shop that has reasonable price, good customer service and quality of the service. Babylon auto exceeded my expectations. First of all,Muhammad is a very nice and honest man. I didn't even have to make an appointment. I stopped by to check when would be the best time to change the oil and my car was taking care of immediately. Oil change was done pretty fast. I don't think it took more that 30 minutes. I've been to other shops before. However, unlike Babylon Auto, those other shops lack either quality, customer service, honesty or all three together. I took my explorer to check out an issue with my AC . Mo the owner had an idea what it was and gave me a call a few hours after giving the car a proper diagnostic. Sure enough it was the ac fan and he told me it would take a day to fix because he had to order the part and quoted me a very good price . I got the call the next day my truck was finished and told him I wouldn't be around to get it till later on in the afternoon because I needed to find a ride to his shop . He said don't worry about it and offered to come to my house to pick me . Um can we say A+ service for that . When I got in my truck and took care of the paper work I was in heaven again with my AC working in tip top shape . I have never before been able to give an auto repair a 5 Star review. I brought my parents Honda Accord in because the transmission was shot. After a quote from another shop I called Babylon and the quote I received was $3200 cheaper! There was nobody who could beat their price. Since the transmission was being replaced, I expected about a week for the installation, but it was finished in less than two days! The bill I received was a couple dollars lower than the quote, not a penny more. How often does that happen? It was unfortunate that the owner had to go to the hospital and the son(Ralph) stepped up and handled everything despite not knowing the business. Everything was on time and under budget, plus a 12 month warranty. There is no reason to go anywhere else. This shop you can trust. read more

I was in a bind because my cars transmission went out and the dealers pricing to do the work was outrageous. When I messaged Babylon he was very helpful, understanding and willing to work with me to get the job done. He had found a used tranny in less then twenty minutes. His response was almost immediately. I was very impressed with the customer service and recommend anyone to go here for their auto needs. The only reason I am not giving it a five star is because I ended up working with the dealership on price to be able to have a new tranny installed in order to get full warranty for three year and no limited mileage. I took my LX470 to Babylon when it started to screech on startup. Some quick internet research pointed to the fan pulley bracket. Within two minutes after greeting me at the door, Mo diagnosed the issue as a failing fan pulley bracket (I didn't mention my research to him), and he was on the phone instantly to locate a replacement part. I knew ahead of time what the retail price of the part is, and the price I was quoted at Babylon was completely reasonable. The part was brand new Toyota OEM (AISIN), not refurbed or some off-brand. I was told the part was on its way and I could pick up my truck the next evening. The next afternoon I stopped by just to see the progress, and they were just finishing it up, hours ahead of schedule. The labor charged seemed commensurate with the work involved (removing/reinstalling radiator, serpentine belt, etc). Less than 24 hours and I was back on the road. I'm very pleased to find a local, honest and reasonably priced mechanic. This isn't a white-glove shop with an air-conditioned waiting room and courtesy bottled water in the minifridge. If you want that, go to the dealer and pay twice as much. I will absolutely be taking my truck back for future service and maintenance, without hesitation. read more

Had a great experience at Babylon Auto today. My BMW X3 was in need of a tuneup and oil change. Now she is purring like a kitten. Normally when I get my oil changed elsewhere, they have no idea how to reset the oil change indicator. Moe was great, however, and ensured all engine statuses were green and my oil change indicator was properly reset. Even though he was a little busy with customers, he didn't make me feel rushed when I had a few questions. Great service! There was a rattle in my tailpipe, I called another shop and they quoted me $1800!!! Mo fixed it for $80 and did an amazing job. I also brought my two little kids with me when we dropped the car off expecting to take an Uber to get home, but Mo was nice enough to drive us home (car seats and all!) so we wouldn't have to pay for an Uber. Wow. Never thought getting your car fixed could ever be a good experience, but Mo and his team were amazing! What was most impressive is how fast he got me in and out with my air conditioning fixed!! I thought they surely wouldn't have time to fix it, but just assess it. They found the problem in a matter of minutes, got the part and fixed it and I was out of there without even having an appointment. Just like that my car was fixed! They had plenty of other cars come through and those were fixed in a timely manner as well. I've never had that type of auto repair service! The price was honest. I even asked them to check the brakes and alternator, which they did, and they said they didn't need repair. Other shops were charging over $100 for diagnostics, which I always stay away from because they tend to be overpriced since they know they have you locked into the diagnostic price. babylon was free diagnostics.
