I have been here twice and have been very pleased both times. Build your own burger places that get it right should be celebrated. Do not come here looking for a massive, gluttonous burger, but do come for a quality, carefully built and tasty one. Your 8oz burger may seem smallish when it first arrives, but thats because it comes on a bun that is the right size - not a bunch of extra bread. My girlfriend really liked the turkey burger option and the waffle sweet potato fries - but she was not a fan of the marshmallow dipping sauce and stuck to bbq. I had a standard burger with some bacon and onion straws. She was a little surprised that lettuce and tomato were not standard and automatic (this was said after the burgers arrived - I assume that they are on the menu for customization if you want them), but enjoyed her burger nonetheless. $25 is a bit high for a burger, so this will not be a weekly stop, but once in a while on the way through Babylon for a simple, tasty meal, absolutely. Service is attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is noisy, but I would not call it overly loud - music was not blaring and conversation could be maintained at normal levels. I had a cheeseburger with Swiss cheese and pickles with fries on the side. Everything was cooked great! it's a very nice atmosphere. Staff was very friendly. I was a little put off by the bathrooms though. One bathroom might go in the water was running and the toilet was not flushed with a number two! Yuck! The other one didn't have toilet paper and when I asked for toilet paper they didn't know how to change it so they just gave me this huge role which I had to place on the sink and kind of unravel it myself. The waiters and hostess accommodated our huge group even setting up a second table outside because my group of 8 was too cold. I ordered a custom kobe beef with caramelized onions, pepper jack cheese, and cabernet sauce. This cooked medium with a side sweet potato fries with marshmallow sauce all added to a perfectly juicy burger where i didn't need to add any hot sauce or ketchup. If I could give it slightly above a 4 I would. Started with the poutine. It was excellent. Went with the family and ordered 3 sandwiches and a salad. All were very good and big enough to bring home as leftovers. Had a birthday desert at the end. My wife ordered a drink (complementary for her bday) and the rest of us got sodas. This place has been our go to burger place for awhile now. I've been here countless times and don't think I ever had a bad meal. The service is always great, friendly and fast. The burgers and sides are always fantastic. Place is a pretty decent size and can serve big parties. The Great South Bay burger is my favorite, I get it all the time and it hits the spot. BBB onion rings and wings are the best!!! Now last time I came was a few days ago with friends from the softball team and we came about 20 minutes before they closed. They still accommodated us, a party of 9 and did not rush us out even though we were there 15 minutes after being closed. The waitress was delightful and continued to refill our drinks and even asked if we wanted dessert! That is top notch h service that would keep us coming back! It was a friday at noon. great space, it was quiet ... we sat immediately. we had a super friendly waitres, I think her name was " Jess" .. I waited too long to post this review thus I forgot her name .. Anyway . I ordered the slider burger appetizer , I did want medium rare , came as medium ( happens everywhere I go ) but that was fine becuz it was still delicious. My son ordered the hamburger lunch & it came with fries . He too enjoyed his meal ... We were just killing time & did need to eat. I would definitely come back here & I highly recommend this eatery. big bar , lots of tables. They also, had a lot of daily specials. Stopped in to grab a bite before a show at the argyle theater. Had the avocado grilled cheese and coconut margarita then a rum punch. Never had an avocado grilled cheese but it did not disappoint. The margarita has light coconut cream which was enjoyable. I did not expect to enjoy the rum punch as much as I did. It was 10/10. Everythjng was delicious. The waitress was attentive as we sat by the bar. She was quick and friendly which is always helpful. I would definitely come back. We were able to eat a quick bite, have 2 drinks and walk around the street with more than 15 minutes to spare. Moving forward I will park then come to this bar before heading into the argyle theater. After a matinée performance at The Argyle we stopped at this restaurant for an early dinner. Food was excellent and the service too. Another great lunch at Babylon Burger Bar. The burger was great. They have a build your own burger option which is great. I tried to make a healthier choice by substituting the beef burger for a turkey burger, but after I added all of my choices to the burger it was far from healthy; never the less the burger was great. The service by the bar tender was excellent even though we sat at a table. The burger was perfectly done medium rare. With meaty bacon and crumbled blue cheese. It was juicy and delicious. My only recommendation is to put the blue cheese inside the burger. Like the Jon Thomas Inn used to do. The onion rings were delicious crispy and not oily great onion rings. Came to town to see show at Argyle theater. Walked into here for quick bite & drink before show. There was wait for tables but we scored seats at bar where you can also enjoy the full menu. We were greeted so warmly & welcoming by John the bartender. Enjoyed a very cold local beer on tap. John was super polite, eager to help and came over quickly with menus and took our order. Went with risky choice of Drunken Goat Burger. I don't know it just sounded amazing. Whipped goat cheese, some kind of sauce, candied bacon and fries. Could be great, might be eww. It was seriously the BEST burger I have ever had! Generously sized patty, fluffy bun with perfect crispy to it. Burger was Juicy, cooked to perfection and the flavors were so unique in the best way possible. Seriously would have licked the paper on my tray if it was socially acceptable. Fries were crispy with just the right amount of salt, perfectly portioned to compliment my burger with a white dipping sauce of I don't know what but it was amazing. Both the brioche and pretzel buns were delish, but I didn't really notice a taste difference between the house blend beef and the kobe beef. Fries were just okay. Black and white milkshake was good, not great. Teriyaki wings had just the right amount of crispiness and were super tasty. Large pretzel appetizer was also very satisfying......make sure and try the 3 different dips that accompany it. I must say the service was fantastic.
