My husband and I are usually here weekly and we absolutely love it. The food is fabulous, you can't get a better burger anywhere, but it doesn't end there. Anything I've ever had there is stellar... The chicken sandwiches, the mac and cheese, the poutine... And in the summer, they have probably the best lobster rolls I've ever tasted. The ambience is awesome and they play great music. And the staff are like going to visit a friend... Always warm and welcoming. Jackie, Ernie, Jess, Christine, and Madison are particularly awesome, but they're all fabulous. The shakes... next level. Awesome. Over the top. The service wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. We certainly didn't feel particularly wanted. There wasn't any warmth, really. For example We were celebrating my daughters birthday and we ordered shakes for dessert (with candles/cake topper). They brought out each shake one at a time (which I get they take time to make). Very inconsistent. Been here about 5 times now. Baja Chicken is great if a little too moist. Also had their turkey burger which is above average, Their fries are good but no better than elsewhere. Others I brought here state similar results...average, can find the same anywhere. There are times the service is great then there are blatant times where it's horrible. Food takes a while to come out. Their hours are not as they are posted. They close when they want. These are some of the best and creative burgers I've had in awhile. They definitely give you a great serving and the toppings and add ons leave you craving more. If I was to recommend appetizers hands down the bones less wings and that pretzel. That pretzel was perrrrrfect soft and crunchy decently sized it's like a meal all itself. If you're not a regular fry fan the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow dip is to die for. All the severs are super nice and always taking care of your needs and have great info on things you can mix and match. This was my second time here and I already can't wait to come back. Giving it 5 stars based on what the rest of my table thought of their food. We had to get to the Argyle Theater across the street, and only had like 30 minutes to order something and get it eaten, so there wasn't really time to faff about with asking a million questions or asking for something different if we made a mistake. Vegan options are slim, as would be expected in a burger bar. They have the beyond meat (?) for a protein option for their burgers. There's also other stuff on the menu that you could vaguely make vegan if you tell them to leave off the cheese (which pretty close to every single menu option has). The avocado toast was what I chose. It was like $12 for a sourdough bread with avocado on it. OK cool. It was listed as an appetizer, so I kind of deserve what I got. It was two slices of toast with avocado on it. Not like a big round piece. Like if it was grocery store sandwich bread sized toast. It was supposed to come with cheese on, but I asked them to leave it off. Mind you, it was transcendentally delicious. I loved eating it. but for $12, it felt a tiny bit slim. One of our party got that kale salad they have on the menu. She said it was lovely. Another got the BLT. That thing was massive, and she wasn't able to finish it in one sitting, so took the other half home to nosh on later. The other one at the table got some kind of chicken sandwich (?), which came on piled sky high with lots of stuff on it. He REALLY enjoyed it . If I'd had some sense, and wasn't in a hurry, I'd have ordered a sandwich, and told them to throw on the avocado and all the other fixings, and just leave off the beyond burger, and been fine. I don't really care for the beyond meat or other veggie meats that are too similar to meat, because I was raised vegetarian, and something smelling meat-like turns me off. When that's the only vegan option on the menu, I'll do whatever is in my power to avoid it, ergo the avocado toast mistake. Again, I must note that this is entirely on me, and not on the server. It just feels cheeky to charge $12 for something that looks that scant when a full on burger isn't that much more pricey. We did order cocktails from the full service bar they have. My dry martini with a twist was made perfectly. All around us, everyone there was having a good time, and enjoying their food quite a lot. It was a super busy day, and we were there around 1~ish on a Sunday. You can tell that people there love the restaurant, and enjoy the food. Also, the service was impeccable. The seating hostess person was understanding, and did her best to get us seated, because we'd mentioned we needed to get to the show quickly. The waitress was very accommodating, and got us our food as fast as she could, as well as getting our drinks out pronto. Everything went so smoothly, and I couldn't have asked for more. read more

We enjoyed the Babylon Burger bar. This is a casual joint with a nice selection of burgers and some very enticing drinks and desserts. There were two of us, one order of the buratta burger and the other the Main Street Mex burger. The burgers were good although I asked for medium and mine was quite well done. There wasn't even a trace of pink inside. However, it tasted good and I said nothing about it and ate my meal. We also ordered a side of onion rings to split and they were exceptionally delicious. I'm sure if I had said something I would've had another burger cooked but I just didn't bother to do so since it wouldn't have been ready at the same time etc. I would go back here and I have no hesitation in recommending it read more

Simple burger went so WRONG!! I wish I can give a negative 1. Ruined our day at this place, ordered a simple burger, got the wrong temp. My husband's burger temp is wrong too. I asked the server for a more cook one for me. She came back with it, I started to cut it in half and the patty is coming out i opened it and this is how it looked!!! I don't usually send back food if there's small mistake but this??? I just lost my appetite. They REUSED same Patty and chopped it up to cook it longer but one side is still PINK! I can't have pink coz of medical reasons, server is informed. This is just so unacceptable. It's a shame when the CHEF/COOK doesn't care at all! People can get sick. A Charming Town filled with its nestalgic turn of the century buildings, old church that still uses bells to chime in the hour, Old style Mom n Pop Coffee shops and clothing stores. Parking for this restaurant is metered but at just 25¢ per hour at a 2 hour max I felt as though I was still alive in the 1950s. THAT'S A STEAL I arrived at 1pm on a Friday afternoon day on March 2024 a time that is a lot less crowded to meet a buddy from work over a conversation and a Burger . I ordered one of their speciality burgers with American Cheese lettuce tomatoes pickles, Truffle Fries sprinkled with mozzarella cheese, Cole slaw, and a Ginger ale. I said wait a minute THE BURGER IS DELICIOUS and juicy. The Cole slaw needed a little help and tasted a bit dry. The truffle fries were good as well and came with their dipping sauce but instead I just stuck with Old Reliable Ketchup and they went down just as good. This restaurant has a lot more to offer than just my burger experience judging by it's menu variety, I will definitely have to come back for something different next Time. There are no deafening materials on the ceiling that would at least absorb some of the patron chatter coming from the other tables. I was seated at the bar and their conversations were loud and bouncing all over the room, at times I would have to ask my friend repeat what he just said to me. Peak hours for that restaurant get very crowded, expect parking to be just as bad. All in all I would have to say I will be taking a second look at the BBB the next time I am out that way. What I must warn everyone about is the jackass meter maid who literally sits and waits around this location for people to park and then runs over to your car and meter to gleefully try to ticket it. I get Babylon needs the money (I mean, just look at it) but actions like this make me hesitant to return. God forbid I park more than 6 inches from the curb...... I was pleasantly surprised with the triple B. It's been in the Babylon Village for awhile now but I just hadn't made it in. Knowing they have some bomb lunch specials, my good friend and I decided to check it out. It wasn't crowded around 12:30 p.m. on a Friday and we were seated right away. Both the hostess and our waitress were so sweet and attentive - excellent service here. Now for the lunch - we both got the beyond burger. Loving the trend here towards vegetarian/vegan friendly fare at burger joints and "American" type food establishments. I've had the beyond burger before, of course. It was cooked well here and paired nicely with the greens on top. Obviously, I had to ask for pickles because it's just the thing I needed to add to my "burger". Served up with some delicious fries and a side of honey mustard for dipping - lunch perfection. Great lunch spot in the village and so reasonably priced for midday fare. I ordered takeout/delivery from Babylon Burger Bar. As much as I wanted to love this place and my meal, unfortunately I did not. I ordered a seasoned ground turkey burger on a multigrain bun w/ lettuce, onion and pickle with sweet potato fries. Now I know turkey can be dry, but I've had better turkey burgers in my days. This one was just okay, as it was too dry and seasonless; though I liked the taste of the multigrain bun it wasn't as fresh as I would have wanted it to be. The "lettuce, onion, and pickle" was not your usual lettuce, onion and pickle on a burger. It was sliced so thin that it looked more like slaw than anything. They gave me regular fries, not sweet potato (order mess up) and they were so greasy and soggy with no flavor. I couldn't even eat them. My friend said her burger was pretty decent - beef w/ bacon, gouda cheese, and some jam. She ordered truffle fries and literally got 6-7 wedges and barely tasted like truffle fries. She wasn't crazy about them and neither was I. The menu looks good here, but it wasn't worth the money or the service and delivery fees we paid to get it. Perhaps the food taste better when dining in, but I probably won't order here again to find out. Babylon Burger was a disappointment for me, but try it out for yourself. read more

I love alliteration. This isn't the first time I've mentioned my infatuation within a review, and if you've ever spent some time reading through my writing, you'll notice it pops up a lot (sorry). Though with a place like Bablyon Burger Bar, some of my alliterative "thunder" has already been stolen. I'm cool with that, especially when good grub is being returned in lieu of a decrease in similar starting sounds. Okay, enough of the language lingo, let's get into the edibles. My trip to BBB came a few weeks ago (back in good ol' 2018) along with fellow Yelp Elite, Aarti R. and our significant others. It was her suggestion to come as Babylon is where she resides and burgers are part of her consumption vocabulary. You don't, technically, have to have a burger here. This Burger Bar does feature other food options beyond the beef. With plenty of sandwiches, salads, wings, and apps, you won't need a meaty handheld to be happy...but seriously, why are you here if you're not burgering? (Too harsh?) Before that burger was able to get going, we had a short wait by the bar (much shorter than originally stated by the hostess, which was nice) giving me a chance to survey the scene. BBB has a contemporarily rustic style to it similar to other burger-esque places (NY Burger Bar, Burgerology, etc.). Things were festively decorated for the holidays which added a little flair to the feeling. The other enjoyable feeling was a good ol' burger being laid out in front of you. There's a bunch of awesome-sounding styles, but when you throw the words "Juicy-Lucy" on a menu then you know what's going down. Stuffing cheese into the middle of your patty so it will ooze out upon completion of cooking makes for a mouthwatering meal. BBB created a formidable version of Lucy, though probably not my favorite from the Isle (NY Burger Bar takes that honor). On the side, French fries would've been fine (I tried a few of my girlfriend's which were crispy and flavorful), but the option of truffle fries had me thinking differently. Now I would've thought some truffle oil would've just topped those regular taters. Nope! Things are quite different in truffle land as these potatoes are large wedges doused with plenty of Parmesan/truffle taste. It wasn't what I was expecting, but by my final bite, I was a fan. Everyone else seemed to feel similarly about their burgers and such making for a consensus of enjoyment in our evening meal. Overall, Babylon Burger Bar isn't quite a five-star caliber spot (sorry, Aarti R.), but they seem to have their heads on with good quality and service, might I mention, all within a comfortable location. Don't worry, you won't need any understanding or experience with alliteration to enjoy this place. All you need is an appropriate appetite (had to throw one more in there). read more
