My husband and I are disabled and have a service dog named Prince. We used to take Prince to Petsmart for grooming but he didn't like it, they cage the dogs there. Prince does not like cages. I don't think they washed him well at Petsmart. Prince didn't smell clean when we left. So, Petsmart became a thing of the past. My husband and I researched grooming shops for about 2 months before finding Baby's Got Bark. We all love it there!!! The shop has a hometown, Mom and Pop feel. The shop is pleasantly clean and does not smell like wet dog, that is a big plus for us. My husband and I are very sensitive to odors. It is small and quaint; the owner Angela is just as sweet as she can be!!! Angela makes her customers feel very much appreciated. She will do all she can to please her customers. Angela grooms the animals with love & care. She treats the animals with respect and doesn't handle them with a harsh hand. Angela is the only groomer at the shop, and she only takes one client at a time. This is nice because your cherished pet will get the attention they deserve. She treats Prince like the Prince he is! There is no caging involved, so the animals do not feel threatened or scared. The products used on the animals are all natural. Therefore, any products used are gentle and environmentally friendly. Prince looks and smells great when he's finished, best of all he's happy, and not a bundle of nerves. Our baby is happy, so we are happy! This woman Angela is the most unprofessional CRAZY lady I have spoken to in a while! I use the term lady loosely. When she speaks her true colors scream "I drive trucks on the side." We agreed she would groom my 3 dogs. She was supposed to pick them up from my house @ 8AM. I call @ 8:45 and airhead had no idea or had forgotten. She blamed her student intern Tess for not calling to confirm. Anyway when she finally arrived to my guard gate and he requested her ID. She refused to take it out of her wallet. Policy states that for security reasons the guard can not accept personal belongings (ie...purses, wallets.) A policy that makes sense. She called ranting and raving that she did not need to remove her license for (and I quote) "an ass that only makes $8 an hr." She went on to say that she is a successful business owner of 1 year. I was dumbfounded. I was ready to set up an acct for regular monthly grooming for not 1, not 2, but 3 dogs... and she wouldn't take her license out for someone who she thinks only makes $8 an hr. I have 3 dogs, 2 Basset Hounds and 1 Maltese. Very few groomers will take the Basset's because the breed howls and crys very loudly. I had a groomer in Miami Lakes called me 1/2 hour after leaving Barney (Basset Hound) to come pick him up, she could not stand the howling. When I needed a new groomer, I googled and found the Baby's Got Bark web site. I fell in love and knew this women really loves dogs. I brought my dogs over there this afternoon (Sunday Easter) and met with Angela. She is an angel. She loves her job and loves dogs. I was very nervous leaving my dogs with someone new. I spent an hour and 1/2 watching her groom at Shitzu, she was so tender, patient and the dog was so comfortable with her. I felt at ease. When I returned 3 hours later, my dogs were so clean, smelled so good and my Maltese puppy was so beautifully groomed. they were happy and you could tell they were not stressed out at all.. BEWARE !!! Angela is a crook.. she first comes off very loving and nice then she strikes.. You will take your dog there either for grooming or boarding and at first she seems like a nice lady until u see how she handles yours and many others.. cutting the nails way to short until your animal bleeds , cliipping to close to the skin, choking and yankeing the dog all around... Then she offers boarding where she claims to take care of your dog then she try's to steal them by saying she needs to take them to the humane society because u didnt make payment (which is usually a lie) ..when she really just sells them for profit !! This woman is a known crack addict / prostitute and desperately needs money that is why her grooming is so cheap in the first place. Many others as well as myself have complained and even have spoken with the police about her dirty grooming facilty ! also her home as well. !! she is unprofessional and a BIG LIAR !!! Angela from Babys got bark grooming in Dania, Fl. Is the greatest groomer I have ever used. These 2 negotive reviews are bogges. I have been using her for 2 yrs. I have 2 show poodles she does the best job ever. My daughter has 3 show yorkies and Angela does them too. She is extremely sweet and kind to our animals. Takes the time to listen to what you want. You wouldn't want a better groomer. Now I have to champion Shih Tzu's puppies and she is been doing their puppy cuts. Her prices are extremely reasonable, especially when u have multiple dogs. Go she Angela you'll love her. My Maltese Attila loves Baby's got bark and I love the prices. Before I used to take my dog to petsmart in Oakland plaza. My dog always left petsmart angry at me for putting him through the ordeal and the price always ran around $60. I finally got fed up and looked for a local small business groomer. That's when we found Angela at baby got bark. Attila and I have never been happier with a groomer before. Attila now actually gets excited and happy now when he goes to the groomer. I also get very happy because they have the lowest prices I have ever seen. I take Attila every week for the Bath and brush special and he always leaves happy looking like a show champ. Let me just say, I love this place. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment. I was hoping they could squeeze my Dutchess in. Not only did they squeeze her in, they groomed her immediately, since I was in a hurry. Angela, was so super, sweet to me and my dog. She gave her a great trim and went above an beyond what I asked her to do ( all I needed was her nails to be cut). I was ready to pay a lot of money for this outstanding service we were receiving. After reading the previous reviews I was somewhat shocked. I am not sure they were at the same place. Angela could not have been nicer and more professional. She handled my two maltese "monsters" like a true pro. Very reasonable ( about half the price I use to pay in Chicago) I highly recommend her to anyone who wants great inexpensive service. By the way, when I came in she was grooming a 180 LB russian breed. So much for the 60 lb issue. read more

This groomer received her training from PetSmart. She was taught all the right moves to use when a dog is resistant to being groomed or is afraid of being groomed. She has chosen to use none of these; instead she jerks the dog (I have been a witness of this) or throws the dog on the floor to "get its attention". I wonder why she is still in practice. DO NOT USE HER--YOUR DOG WILL BE TERRIFIED and her ethics are in question. read more

Nice shop, smells clean when you walk in...I like the one on one service that the groomer, Angie, showed my little Malti-Poo, Harley. She was extra gentle with him and got to know him before grooming him. Now he runs in the door and greets her for his weekly bath & trim up! This place uses nice all natural and gentle shampoos...Great for pets with allergies....Extra TLC for your pet here....I recommend it highly. read more

We brought in our senior lab, Chloe, for a spa day and shave down...She was so comfortable with the groomers and the receptionist. We were worried because she is special needs and has arthritis but she came out happy as can be....AND she didn't want to leave....She kept going back to the groomers to give them kisses..... So after not feeling positive in the vibes, i decided to go somewhere else... lo and behold i end up here... and it is False False False - Babys got bark for sure but the grooming doesnt work. the extra tlc was missing in action, the shampoo can be irritating and the allergies flared up. i ran into tom c and he wasnt smiling either. read more

I have never wrote a review for anything but I just had to comment on this place. I needed a new groomer and I lucked up on Angela and Baby got bark.
