RACISM OR FORGETFULNESS? I recently went to Baby's Marche and ordered the French dip, which is served hot, and the poulet, which is served cold. I waited about 15-20 minutes for my sandwiches. While I was waiting, I was looking into the kitchen and noticed two sandwiches sitting on the shelf. I didn't think much of it at first, so I continued waiting. However, I started noticing that White customers who had ordered after me were getting their food before I did. Of course, I didn't immediately think much of it, but once my name was finally called, I noticed that they grabbed the two sandwiches that had been sitting on the shelf for about 10 minutes. At that point, I noticed that all of the White customers had already left, while me and another Latino customer were still waiting. I grabbed my sandwiches, and they looked amazing. But once I took a bite, they definitely weren't as good as they LOOKED. My French dip sandwich was cold, and the bread was hard to chew. The bread on the cold sandwich was also hard, and honestly, it seemed like the same type of bread that Jersey Mike's uses. The meat inside was good, but the bread itself was disappointing. I know the preparation might have taken a long time for the French Dip but if you know it's going to take a long time then maybe do that one at the end since it's a "served hot" sandwich and do the cold one first. But why were they BOTH on the shelf for 10 min? I didn't want to complain at the time because I noticed that the kitchen was mostly made up of younger individuals, and I didn't want to make a big deal about it. But afterward, I realized that it was my money that I spent, and I had every right to say something. Now I'm left wondering: Was this simply forgetfulness, or was there something more to it? I can't say for certain that racism was involved, but the experience definitely made me question why I was treated differently from the customers who ordered after me. read more

I had been to Baby Marché about a year ago and it was great. Amazing bread, great sandwich, really stood out. Today was the complete opposite. We had four cold sandwiches, three turkey and one soprano, and every single one had the same issue. The bread was one of the worst I've ever had. Dense, rubbery, and honestly like chewing a Tempur Pedic mattress. It completely ruined the sandwich. There were four of us and every single person did the same thing. We all picked out the meat and left the bread. When you picked up the box it felt like it weighed two pounds and that's with barely anything left inside. That bread was just that heavy and bad. At over 16 dollars for a sandwich, that's unacceptable. What's crazy is this is not complicated. Anyone running a restaurant should know the difference between good and bad bread. Putting something like that out just shows nobody is paying attention or nobody cares. Super disappointing. I would not go back and I would not recommend it. read more

Was looking for a lunch off the resort path and found Baby's Marche on Yelp. Definitely would not have known about this cute tucked away spot otherwise. Portion of sandwiches are huge and can be shared. No tuna option which was a bummer for this pescatarian who needed an option with protein. Got the "greek" salad and it was okay. Went to this place for the first time a little while ago and absolutely loved it. The paninis are delicious and a great lunch. Be prepared to wait for a little during lunch time though, as many people show up at the same time. They don't have a lot of inside seating, so it's not perfect for the summer heat, but once it gets a little cooler, this is an awesome lunch place. read more

They have different sandwich specials every time I go. I haven't been disappointed in their sandwiches or coffee at all. Don't go hangry because it does take awhile to get your food. You can order ahead of time. I've tried their matcha and specialty lattes. Can't wait to try them all. Parking lot is kinda small. It's in the same plaza as the nest. read more

Amazing sandwiches! I got the soprano-an Italian cold cut sandwich. Flavor was on point but ciabatta bread wasn't my favorite for this type of sandwich. Ended up taking off top part of bread and eating that way. Definitely recommend getting a panini from here, it's a different type of bread and both my mom and sister got the Jojo and loved it. Dirty chai with oat milk is delicious! Definitely recommend. Eating on the deck is nice and shady. Cute spot off the beaten path we got a recommendation for from the valet at our resort! read more

Came here on a whim to get some coffee and decided we needed sandwiches based on the reviews! First off the woman working at the counter was so friendly and helpful! Secondly, the coffee was really really good! Lastly, the food was great! We got a spicy Italian and a turkey sandwich. If you aren't a super hungry 18 year old boy, you could split a sandwich they were huge! I'm not usually one for dressed lettuce on a sandwich but it worked and the bread was the perfect soft and harder crust to hold in all the ingredients. The flavor was great and fresh! The outside eating area is cute. We will be back next time we are in Palm Desert. read more

Had read good reviews so wanted to check out Baby's Marché for lunch. Such a weird location. Luckily I had heard it was in an office park sort of place or I would not have found it. The woman who took our order was very friendly. My wife and I shared a Club sandwich and an almond cookie. The outdoor seating is very nice. The bread the sandwich was on is delicious! So good. The sandwich itself was very good, messy with the avocado, but tasty. Next time I'll bring extra napkins. We also enjoyed the cookie. Would definitely return. I just found one of the deserts best kept secrets. It's called Baby's Marché. This spot is a relatively hidden European inspired sandwich cafe and market in Indian Wells, CA.This cafe though is hiding some of the best sandwiches in the desert (I'd even say So Cal) and their drinks are equally as impressive. Also the staff here are so nice and hospitable. A couple of folks helped me out today but Oliver stood out. Lovely to talk to you Oliver and makes me happy when staff are as passionate about their business as the excited customers ordering are Here's what I got: *Beef Pastrami Panini: 10/10. I can DIE HAPPY. Let's normalize that horseradish aioli on pastrami far surpasses mustard. The foodie community better not come for me but 100% horseradish over mustard with pastrami. This was literally one of the best paninis I've ever had and definitely the BEST pastrami sandwich I've ever had. This sandwich totally blew any "famous" pastrami spot I've ever tried out of the water. The pastrami was so fresh, massive amounts of beef and the fresh toppings of lettuce, tomato, and onions made this an outstanding bite. I'll be dreaming of this bite until I come back (adding to regular desert meal rotation) *Iced Matcha Lemonade: 10/10. This was a lovely matcha lemonade as their lemonade is super refreshing and not too bitter. I also appreciate that they use ceremonial grade matcha and the flavors were on point. Not graining, well executed, a solid refreshing drink to cut the 80+ degrees weather. I also tried their elderflower lemonade which was equally as refreshing and beautiful. The lovely team here threw in some rainbow sprinkle sugar cookies and I was in heaven. Their cookies are buttery and soft. The perfect sweet treat after a massive sandwich. I'll be living in a food coma for the rest of the day but I needed to run here to tell everyone to try Baby's Marché when your down in the desert because this was one of the BEST sandwiches I've ever had and just an all around A+ experience. read more

i am thoroughly impressed with this place! all the different milks + sweetener options are really hard to come by in most places. but not only is it an impressive selection, their drinks are top tier, absolutely delicious. the coffee & matcha were creamy yet still so strongly rich & flavorful, how they're supposed to be. the milk was not overbearing at all, perfect ratios, which i noticed a lot of places struggle with. you can tell a lot of effort goes into the creations and the results are noticeable, easy 11/10. will be coming back as much as i can. my new favorite coffee place! read more

Unfortunate hours that mostly cater to retirees or those without traditional 9:00-5:00s as they're only open during the week until 3:00 pm and completely closed on weekends. Was able to try it by catching an order from people already stopping by for a lunch pickup. The Roma Panini was good and pretty filling. It was a large size but there was some oil to it. Get your napkins ready! The lavender lemonade was super refreshing and a nice add-on. I'd get it again and like to try other items off their menu, but will just have to get lucky with the timing. read more

Still just as great when I first discovered it. Plenty of meats on stock the wagyu ground beef and wagyu Denver steak are a nice take home item too cook yourself. I lean towards the panini items even during a hot summer day with a nice matcha or lavender lemonade (my partners favorite). Our daughter brought us here and it was pretty darn good to say the least. The place is small with very limited seating inside and a few tables outside. It can get busy and a little cramped. I will admit that the regular menu doesn't get me very excited. However, the special that they had,The Gobbler, totally had my interest. It was, quite frankly, a phenomenal sandwich. Mom and I went today at about 1:30. Mom really liked the sandwiches but I didn't. I really don't like sandwiches as a rule so I really should not be reviewing sandwiches. For me I would give it a 3 star and mom would give them at least 4 stars. The size was large and the price was decent so I think that's why most people love it. If you are a sandwich lover you will probably love it here. I didn't like the small space inside to place the order, the small amount of seating available,and the long waiting time to get the sandwich. The lemonade was really good though. Also, they forgot mom's order altogether so they gave us a free cookie which was really nice 45 minutes after ordering her sandwich. Mom and I split so we could taste two kinds . I enjoy the pastrami sandwich at Sherman's deli way more than this one. The chicken club had very thin sliced chicken similar to boars head that you buy in the market deli section. I thought it was a breast because it said slow roasted chicken in the description. Also, When I buy avocado at the market I look for haas from California because I do not like avocados from Mexico. Or non haas avocados. I can tell immediately because the avocado tastes watery instead of rich and creamy . Mine tasted watery so it ruined the sandwich for me along with the thinly sliced chicken. The pistachio matcha with cream is so good! The roasted tomato aioli they add to the JoJo panini sandwich is perfect. PLEASE KEEP THE DRIEDGER! So I heard Chris DRIEDGER from the CV Firebirds loves this place and he had a collab with Chef Justin who owns Baby's Marche. The duo created an awe-inspiring sandwich called "The Driedger" which is made with Australian Wagyu Pastrami, Canadian Caramelized Onions, Sauerkraut, Deli Mustard, Provolone and Chipotle Maple Syrup! Yes, it's ALOT of goodness in one incredible sandwich. I had to try it as it's a limited option, however I beg Chef Justin to keep it haha. It's one of the best, most unique sandwiches I've ever had. Baby's Marche is officially one of my favorite sandwich spots I've ever been to! The meal was a bit pricey as you're getting high quality ingredients, so come prepared. My sandwich was $25 bucks and a sparkling water on top of that led me to almost $35-ish bucks for myself alone. I will surely be returning to try the other amazing dishes they serve here. The bakery items and floats looked incredible too! There's an individual restroom within the building. Also, there's two tables inside and four tables outside for people who want to dine here. It's very small so I recommend takeout. The butchery itself is very cute, the staff were very friendly and had a nice attitude. Not your average sandwich joint--everything's made with top-shelf ingredients, from the house-baked baguettes to the prosciutto and cheese stacked high. Staff here are big on samples and friendliness. There's a meat counter with delicious steaks available -- the wagyu was so good! For lunch, I went full sandwich mode--the Roma Panini had just the right crisp, gooey, salty layers. Snacks for later: a giant cookie and charcuterie pack, both were excellent. Hubby got the pastrami and thought it was very flavorful. I had the small (baby) charcuterie pack. It was delicious and very reasonably priced with a delightful variety of items: a little meat, a little cheese, some fruits and berries, some nuts, and a couple dark chocolate bits, served with some baguette slices. The restaurant has almost no indoor seating, so you're really limited to the patio, which is delightful and shady on a warm day but if it's over 100°, watch out! The hours are funky. Closes daily at 3pm and not open on the weekends. It was actually work for us to be there during their open hours. read more

I struggle with how to define this place. I like it, but think I could like it more- but also kinda think it's overhyped. It reminds of the throwback TKB days where they were getting all kinds of 5 star reviews, but when you try it, you're like, "I have no complaints, but it could be better." I think it's a little bit of everything that I just cannot justify going here. 1. It was nearly $50 for two of us. For a couple sandwiches, a lemonade, and a coffee. $50. That's insane, but seems standard nowadays. 2. It's tiny inside and gets cramped quickly. There's a few chairs, but nowhere really to sit. It fills up quick during lunch. 3. The coffee was really good, but at $9 I can't say it was that good to justify the price. 4. The sandwiches we both purchased had burnt bread (paninis) and had small portions of meat. The flavor was more of sauce than anything else and it was messy to eat it. 5. Outside has some seating, but that can fill up too. 6. The parking area. When we've gone, it's been hectic and a bit of a pain to park. 7. The wait. They took a longggggg time and there was no acknowledgement of this. "I'm sorry about the wait" is all it takes. 8. No online ordering system that I know of. When I think of this place, I feel kind of ambivalent about it. I see some of the sandwiches look great in the pictures, but do I want to spent $50 on a fast foody cafe lunch? I dunno. read more
