So, this little spot was right across from American gate D55. While waiting hours for our flight we got hungry, so we looked at the menu here and decided to give them a try. We tried the cheeseburger, the Cuban sandwich, the grilled chicken sandwich, and the kids chicken sliders. Each of us chose Caesar salad as our side, except the six-year-old who got a single can of Pringles chips and a juice box with his meal. The salad was really good. Each of the entrees was good. Portions were appropriate and prices were fair for an airport location. They do add 18% gratuity automatically to the bill. As I've mentioned before, whenever this is the case, I do not tip above the mandatory amount. Edit: this is for the MIA airport location I had about an hour to kill before my flight, and I decided to check this out since it was near my gate. This area has very limited seating, so don't try to dine there with a large group you're traveling with. On the flip side, if it's just you or a couple other people, it's got a great view of outside to watch the planes. They also have lots of outlets if you need to do any work. The food here was great! I really enjoyed my wings and the chips were kettle cooked. The margarita was super strong and tasty; however, for the size and price (no price was listed on the menu, I believe the drink was $15-$17) I think that was extremely expensive for the size drink you got. One of the more affordable options in the airport. They have a wide selection of typical grab-and-go snacks and drinks along with their full menu. We ordered the Strawberry Spring Salad (with fruits, nuts, blue cheese, etc.) which is very light and fresh, the Ham & Cheese Empanada and the Spinach Empanada which were delicious, but we wish there were more filling. We started with a morning beer........Yes, as this was the end of a wonderful 11 day vacation ;) We started with the Empanadas with Ham, Egg & Cheese along with the fruit salad. As per the pictures, both were tasty and delicious. If you are in this area of the airport, you must try as they are delicious! We then had had the wings, which were again, surprisingly delicious. As per the picture, you get 6 wings and a nice amount of wing sauce along with a generous amount of celery. We ended with the Caesar Salad. This was without a doubt the feature of our meal. During a recent layover in Miami International, in search of a bite to eat, we ended up at the Bacardi Rum Bar & Grill. As always, when in Miami, I have to get my empanada fix! Lucky for me, they had some on their menu. I ordered one chicken and a spinach & cheese. They both had a nice flaky crust and were overall good except they were lacking in the filling. Given this is a Bacardi Rum Bar, we also ordered a couple of mohitos to pass the time. We ordered an original and a limon. Not the best mohito I've ever had, but they were actually good and I would stick to the original. Prices were reasonable given it's in the airport. Our server was also really friendly and also seemed to be constantly smiling. I guess I would be too if I lived in Miami. This is a good option if you have a craving for empanadas, but if you have more time, it's best if you walk on over to La Carreta or Versailles. read more

This new spot was so-so. $9 for a Mojito and it didn't have much rum in it, plus it was too sour. A friend ordered his as a double ($15 though) and said that fixed the issue and was great. She recommended that I get the jerk sauce on the sides and not on the wings because it's too spicy. I opted against her decision. The wings were mild at best. I'm used to eating spicy Indian food so it's not a problem. All is all, the food was edible. The salad dressing smelled a little off but once I tasted it I had no complaints. We had a 4 hour layover and was pretty hungry. That morning we were up at 5 AM to catch our 8 AM flight from St Maarten. We only had coffee and a pretzel with a 2.5 hour flight staring at us. I am just a little mad. We always come here when one if us is flying out of Miami. And we always get mojitos. What a better way to say good bye to Miami than to experience the last drop of this sweet minty nectar? However lately, the drinks have been inconsistent. Today, it was so sweet I felt my teeth clinging. I sent it back (i never do that) and asked to remake it with less syrup. What i got back was a larger glass with club soda added. If you're stuck at the Miami International Airport at the last gate on The Concourse this is your only option unfortunately. Ordered a chicken sandwich 80% bread 20% chicken. Caesar salad was okay and the sandwich would have been nice if it had some chicken on it but basically what they served was a large piece of ciabatta bread with some skinny little nothing chicken piece on it that didn't even cover the bread. Very expensive not a very good value typical airport food eat there at your own risk. Beer was cold service was okay wasn't the waiters fault I feel the chef created a bread lettuce and tomato sandwich with a small chicken flavor.
