The atmosphere was a vibe. The place is small and tight. I'm glad we were the only people there, so it was a nice, intimate moment for our late lunch. The drinks were great, as were the sampler empanadas. We also had tamales, but I wasn't a fan at all. We had the croquetas, which were also good. The service and people were nice and friendly. The place looked nice and clean, and the music and aesthetics were nice, especially for pictures.

I was in the area for the Miami fan fest in Bayfront. Stopped in for a bite to eat and a drink. The beef carpaccio was heavenly but the mojito, disappointing to say the least. Cute spot on the water but drink before you go

Honestly not terribly impressed. We wanted to try some Cuban food while in Miami. To begin, the hostess was not very personable or welcoming. Our waitress was very pleasant but I wouldn't say service was above and beyond. I don't personally love when the wait staff is all over you, but I drank all of my water and had to ask for a refill when the check came even though I had been without it for quite some time. I sat by the water outside which was nice but warm even with the fans and umbrellas (that's expected though). The entire menu was quite expensive. I ordered the Frita burger with fries and my husband got the sandwich Kubano with tostones. Both were just okay and we didn't find them overly flavorful. I wouldn't necessarily return.

Kuba On The Bay is a Cuban Restaurant located on Pier 5 at Bayside Marketplace in Miami, Fl. Dreaming of warm weather prompted to write this review - lol. Oh, how I long for Miami, fabulous weather, & great food & cocktails that we had at Kuba On The Bay! We visited last year during my Birthday Trip & enjoyed the lovely waterfront views. Bayside Marketplace has many hang-out spots, shops, activities, etc. We stumbled upon Kuba On The Bay around early dinnertime. Kuba is quaint, has dooe decor including gorgeous artwork & had a cute front entrance. A photographer was present & took both complimentary pictures & pictures for purchase. Thank you Kuba for the beautiful picture that was taken. We both had Sauteed Shredded Steak w/ Sautéed Vegetables & Arroz Blanco - Aromatic White Rice. Bartenders & Servers provided greetings, were kind, friendly, energetic, & gave great customer service. One of the bartenders created refreshing cocktails w/ Green Tea, Whiskey & Lemon Juice - Delicious! Wishing me a Happy Birthday & having birthday shots was cool. Kuba On The Bay played Salsa, Merengue & Reggaeton that had us moving in our seats. Definitely a nice, chilled atmosphere... kubanmiami.com @kubaonthebay

Loud music and dark inside, we have to use our phone light to check the menu. Kubiche was okay, we loved the hot fried tater-tot next to it. Ropa Vieja (beef stew) was good except the portion was kind of small. Arroz Marinero (seafood rice) was flavorful with fresh shrimps, calamari and fish, the rice was tomato flavored. We had Caipirinha flight with 4 flavors- strawberry, mango, guava and classic. Other than classic, the rest of the drinks were pretty bad with artificial fruit flavors. Overall it's not a bad experience.

Wonderful Cuban restaurant on the bay, on the pier that hosts many shops, restaurants and bars. We had great service and ate delicious meals. The location had a really fun vibe all around. When in Miami I'm always looking for good Cuban food and this place definitely delivers. Whether you're looking for that traditional Cubano, or like myself that wants anything that goes with a side of yuca. We wound up spending St Patrick's Day here and it was great, can't wait to visit again when we're back in June

Yummy food. Popped in with we were in town and the tostones and empanadas from the start had us finishing the plate clean. Great service, drinks, and food. Nice to be seated out on the water hearing the music and seeing the sites that Biscayne has to offer.

Lovely and lively location along the water at bayside marketplace. Prices are reasonable, good value, great food and ambiance. Service was friendly and quick. Would recommend

I don't know why, but I really enjoy dining on the water. Well, next to the water, actually. If I was on it, I'd be in a boat. But I digress. This is a nice place with tables looking out over the bay. The food is good, but pricey, like most restaurants in nice areas in Miami. I'm not an expert on Cuban food, but I would guess this is more upscale than most authentic Cuban restaurants. But it was quite tasty and a nice bite before a concert at the nearby theater. I can't say anything about the parking because I mistakenly parked in the $30 lot across from the theater, not realizing there were other less expensive options only a block away. Well, live and learn. Next time I'll know better.

We had a plate of tequenos that were the best I have ever had and Cuban Sandwich also very good, the service was acceptable, sometimes our server disappeared for a while and then showed up... the Mojito in the big jar was okay but then we finished with a regular Mojito in the glass that was much better. The worst part of the experience was the multiple (disturbing) musics, they had bachata, the establishment next door had Reggaeton and some boats and other loud music so my head was spinning not for the Mojitos but the smoothie of terrible music.

Coconut Mojito "extra large" amazing good !

Excellent service and delicious food. The restaurant is located with a great view of the ocean. The mojitos are delicious!

Great place for an outdoor lunch at a trendy place near the Port of Miami! Recommend the sampler, mojo shrimp, and shrimp enchildado. The mojito was delicious too! Service could be quicker especially since we went during the day

Pollito Canton. Tostones were amazing!

Empanadas were amazing. Rest of my meal was so-so. Service was friendly, but inattentive (had to flag my server down for anything). It was super loud.

The flavors were really hittin--not salty but definitely not lacking in flavor and complexity. So delicious The only criticism I would have from what I ordered is that the rice was ever so slightly undercooked which made it a bit dry. Other than that, everything was great. There's not really a server--you order and they text you when it's ready. Then you come pick it up and go to your table. But the cashier lady was very nice and helped me decide what to get.

If you're looking for something unique to try at the Citadel, Manjay is worth a shot. They serve Haitian cuisine. Portions were generous and in general, the food was kind of heavy. Many of the components I believe were made to order, so there was a short wait. Here's what my wife and I ordered: Appetizer: * Caribbean Conch Fritters ($14) - Manjay pikliz, honey mustard remoulade These were big and tasty. Six pieces, like giant hush puppies with conch inside. The plate came with pikliz in the center. Pikliz is like the Haitian version of coleslaw, made with cabbage, carrots, onions, and peppers. Manjay's version was spicy and yummy. Bowls, each with 2 sides and 1 sauce: * Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl ($18) - breaded and tossed in Manjay's homemade honey jerk sauce; with red beans rice and sweet plantains and scotch bonnet mango aioli * From Haiti with Love (Griyo) ($18) - Deep-fried Kreyol-style slow-braised pork; with banan payzay and toofay Both the chicken and pork were very good and flavorful. The pork was served bone-in. The rice and beans and sweet plantains were comforting and addictive. The scotch bonnet mango aioli was spicy. Banan payzay are Haitian pressed plantains. These were savory and starchy. The toofay ("legume") was good too. It's a hearty vegetable stew, essentially Haitian ratatouille. Our cashier was Roniqua and she was nice. During our visit, I think Manjay had the longest line (a good sign). After walking around, looking at the other food court options and seeing Manjay's high rating on Yelp, we were sold on Manjay. We dined in so we got real plates and silverware. We actually took everything up to the rooftop bar and ate up there. Our trays were bussed by the staff on the roof. Along with this location at the Citadel food court in Little River (just north of Little Haiti), Manjay has a casual strip location near the Miami airport in Doral. This Citadel location is the original; it opened in February 2019. The Doral location opened in 2024.

The vibe of the space feels like they brought in the murals of wynwood to their interior design. The music selection was rap hit after rap hit, loved. We sat at the bar. Our server was Marcus. He was so helpful and attentive. Gave us his menu recommendations, which we followed suit. We ordered the duck dumplings and the sweet potato croquettes from the HH menu. From the regular menu, we ordered the bbq toro and the oxtail udon. The duck dumplings had a rich au jus, great. Our favorite app was the sweet potato croquette. Slightly sweet, a satisfying crunch, but soft in the center with tender brisket. The white bbq sauce and parm gave it a nice smoky nuttiness. Ordered another round, they were so good! The bbq toro had an amazing smokey flavor and a nice citrusy butter as the sauce. The cut was perfect. The oxtail udon was really hearty, and by far the best dish we had (though all the dishes were seriously incredible). It comes with a cured egg yolk, which they mix for you tableside. There was a good amount of oxtail in the dish and the udon sauce - bottle it for me please and thank youuu.

Sometimes less is more. I booked brunch for the Sunday after Valentine's Day. The reservation was confirmed, but then I found out they don't even open until 5 PM that day. How does a brunch reservation get confirmed for a time when the restaurant isn't open? I decided to give it another try this weekend and went at 5 PM to sit at the bar. The hostess told me there was a "Hungry Post" event happening. I asked about the price and she said it was $100 per person. Okay, fine -- but when I asked what the event included or what it was about, she seemed unsure and said it was "just a party" and that you just go in. No explanation of what was included, no specials, nothing. Charging $100 per person just to attend a "party" with no clear details feels odd and poorly communicated. I genuinely want this place to succeed because the food and drinks are great -- I just wish they would focus on that and improve communication and organization instead of trying so hard to be trendy.

We had an early reservation that they couldn't find when we checked in. They told us we could only sit outside in 95degree heat (the inside of the restaurant was actually empty?) They did seat us inside once we showed proof of our reservation... Our server was a nice guy and sweet with our daughter. We ordered the ham croquettes, ropa vieja, and fried snapper. The croquettes were OK. The ropa vieja was not good. The flavor was very one dimensional, it just tasted like tomato paste. I didn't like how they plated it - ropa vieja in a dish on a plate, with a totally separate plate for rice and beans. It made the meal feel disjointed and small. The deep fried snapper was the most disappointing. It was snapper nuggets with a (Cajun?) seasoning on top. They tasted like catfish nuggets and nothing about that dish felt or tasted Cuban. The idea of plating it with the fish bone wrapped around had good intentions but it didn't land. Does it really make sense to call this dish "whole fried snapper" if it's served as nuggets? Rice and plantains came on a separate plate and they were fine. I expected a lot more from this meal, but maybe we had an off experience.
