My partner and I came here to celebrate Valentines Day. The restaurant want bustling and full of people. We waited for around half an hour until there was a table for us even with reservation. The staff was really accommodating and even moved us inside when it started to rain. Upon being seated we wete greeted with warm sourdough bread with olive oil and vingerette to dip it in. It was delicious! Then we ordered the Brussels sprouts, blackened chicken rigatoni, chicken parmesan pasta, and bread pudding. We also ordered the lemon drop cocktail. Everything was delicious. Mango Salsa Bruschetta - 7/10 A refreshing starter with a nice balance of sweet and savory flavors. Risotto Balls - 6/10 Crispy on the outside and creamy inside, but they didn't quite stand out compared to the other dishes we ordered. Spicy Cajun Jambalaya - 10/10 This was the star of the night! It had the perfect kick of spice, and you could really taste the Cajun seasoning. The sausage was an amazing addition, and all of the meat was top-tier. Every bite was packed with flavor. Blackened Chicken Rigatoni - 9/10 Super delicious with a nice level of spice. The blackened chicken was incredibly juicy--not dry at all. Pro tip: ask for a side of Parmesan cheese. It makes the sauce even creamier and takes the dish to another level. The Godfather - 10/10 Think of an Old Fashioned, but even better. It had a rich, nutty flavor that was incredibly smooth. I liked it so much I ordered a second one. Pomegranate Martini - 8/10 Strong but semi-sweet. They're definitely generous with the alcohol, so this is a great choice if you like your cocktails with a kick. Moscato - 10/10 Delicious, but here's a little heads-up: it's $13 per glass here, while you can buy the entire bottle at Trader Joe's for around $8. Still, if you're just looking for a glass with dinner, it's a great choice. Overall, the food was flavorful, the drinks were excellent, and the attentive service made for a great dining experience. An Unforgettable Birthday Celebration at Baci's! We'd been wanting to visit Baci's for ages, and finally decided to celebrate my birthday here on Valentine's Day - what a perfect choice! Tip: Make reservations! This place gets really busy, especially on special occasions. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The Valentine's Day decor was beautiful and really added to the romantic atmosphere. The staff was incredibly efficient and friendly, and our waiter Kevin was absolutely fantastic and gracious throughout the evening. Appetizers: We started with the Golden Beet Salad (with goat cheese, toasted almonds, and honey balsamic dressing) and the Crispy Sweet Chili Prawns. The prawns were amazing - they came with a Fiji apple coleslaw and pomegranate sauce, and the combination was simply heavenly! Entrees: The Lamb Rack came with four beautifully cooked lamb chops, mashed potatoes, spinach, and pomegranate sauce - really delicious. We also tried the Chicken Milano, which was incredible. The combination of artichoke, sun-dried tomato, asparagus, shallots, linguini, basil, garlic, parmesan, parsley, and white wine lemon sauce was perfection on a plate. Desserts: We couldn't resist ordering both the Molten Chocolate Cake with vanilla ice cream and the Warm Bread Pudding with ice cream. Both were fantastic and the perfect end to our meal. The vibe at Baci's is lively and festive - it can get loud, but that just adds to the fun atmosphere. Baci left great memories from when we went last so we had to try again- and they did not disappoint! A good experience is only good if it's also consistent. We tried a different range of the menu and everything we had was amazing. If you get the seafood platter, the pesto dip that comes with it is very tasty. I would highly recommend getting the artichoke appetizer even just so you have the garlic aioli dip as well. Yes the dip is the good it's worth ordering the appetizer just for that. Service and dessert were also even better than last time. For dessert, the Apple Gallete was my personal favorite. read more

Baci is one of our favorite Italian places in downtown Pleasanton. It is a relatively small restaurant that has been able to keep a casual but elegant atmosphere. The building is part of Pleasanton's culture. Originally the brick building was a bank. I have been told the vault still exists in the basement. The servers are nicely dressed. The tables have white linens with fresh white butcher paper. The high ceiling supports modern rustic chandeliers. Outside seating is very popular and fronts onto Main Street. We had the Tuna Tartare, Cranberry salad and Scallops. The chef does a good job selecting quality ingredients and presents them tastefully. We had the exotic Bomba for dessert. Think several flavors of ice cream coated with white chocolate and drizzled with dark chocolate. We normally don't do dessert but this one pleased us nicely. We went for brunch on a Saturday. There was no wait to be seated. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn't too busy inside so it was quiet while we were there. Service was ok it seemed like our waiter may have been bartending too. I got a chicken with Alfredo sauce and veggies. It was really good the chicken was crispy and flavorful. This was a big portion I was able to take half of it for dinner. My boyfriend got the BLAT and he really liked it too. I got a strawberry drink it was strong and a hint of sweet. He got a mimosa good size. They have sourdough bread to start with. I make sourdough at home so I am a bit more critical on the bread but it was good and they give a good amount of bread. We were walking around Pleasanton looking for a dinner spot and ended up at Baci after the ambience and music caught our attention. It definitely had an elevated vibe. Perfect for a date night, especially when there is nice weather. The service stood out immediately as well; the servers were very attentive, present without being overbearing, and made the whole experience feel smooth and intentional. We started with the arancini, which was okay, good texture, but nothing especially memorable. The chicken piccata was the highlight of the meal. Really well done: bright lemon flavor, buttery sauce, and cooked perfectly. I'd come back just for that. I came here for a work event. We rented what I would classify as the "tea room" next to the main bar. The decoration felt very "high tea." Servers were fine, appetizers were good. My main, which was a special called "Romeo & Juliet " consisted of noodles with a white sauce, shrimp, and steak. Unfortunately the taste left a lot to be desired. The food was good, but I had the following complaints. For $17, you would think they'd be serving a normal sized artichoke, not the mini sized ones. With a total bill of $55 for spaghetti and a mini artichoke, you would also think they'd give you bread or parmesan cheese or even utensils. Being that the value and service are not considered when thinking of customer satisfaction or retention, no way I'll be ordering again. The prices are insane! We went to Baci for dinner at 5 before going to a show at the firehouse arts center. Although they misplaced or reservation, they seated us right away. Although the restruant was crowded the sound level was average and the dining room was comfortable. The server was attentive. He checked on us through our meal. He split our bill quickly and efficiently when we asked him to at the end of our meal. The food was tasty. I had the eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant was not too soft. The seasonings were balanced. We sat outside in their little area that they have set up next to the sidewalk, which is really nice cause you're right on Main Street and you can see people to drive and walking past you and stuff that's super nice. The portions are huge even for lunch the chicken Parmesan I didn't taste it, but my friend said it was delicious my chicken piccata. The flavor was good, but the noodles were drenched in the lemon garlic sauce that came with it and they were the noodles were a little soggy so they were a little overcooked. I ended up just eating the chicken and leaving the noodles on the table. I did order a beef stroganoff to go for my husband, which I wasn't sure if it was that if it was gonna be any good or not but it turned out to be very tasty next time if we go I'm definitely getting the beef stroganoff that would probably taste way better in the restaurant rather than taking it home and reheating it. I did not use the Bathroom while there so I can't comment on that but everything else seemed really nice. This Italian restaurant was a great find at pleasanton. I've had experiences in the past where we get the overpriced Italian food but don't leave happy as there's sometimes less flavor or taste. We came for our anniversary yesterday (noted that in the reservation) and there was absolutely no mention of that whatsoever... whatever, no big deal. But the server was terrible, he seemed very friendly with all the other tables but we were sat kind of tucked in the corner and he treated us like low class citizens. Took 25 minutes to even greet us and was basically like " are you ready to order?" No talk up of the menu. The rest of the night we had to flag him down for anything we needed. I would have had another glass of wine if he was anywhere to be found. Anytime he walked by he had blinders on and would not even look our way. Arancini were good, a little overly cheesy. The Caesar salad was not very good, lettuce was browning and dressing was pretty bland. Spaghetti and meatballs were decent. Chicken parm was pretty ok, too much cheese on top and the sauce was mediocre. We are new to Pleasanton and probably won't be back. Too many other good options. Although the food was incredible, it was terrible to not be able to hear anyone we were sitting with.
