I ordered the 1-meat combo with 4 ribs. Decent size for a solo eater that comes with 2 sides. Garlic mashed potatoes were tasty. The side salad was good and the dressing came on the side. The ribs were on the dry side and a little burnt to my liking. Needed a steak knife to cut the meat off the bone. Otherwise, it tasted good. Burger was moist and flavorful. The staff was not very attentive during our visit, and the service could have been more consistent. The brisket nachos were the highlight and had good flavor, but the rest of the food was not especially memorable. I have had better barbecue at other restaurants and even at home, so the meal did not stand out enough to justify a return visit on its own. Chicken wings 5/5 - We ordered sauce on the side. They were good even without it. The chicken was so juicy, actual chicken juice and not oil. Ribs 4/5 - Tender, would order this again. Brisket 4/5 - Tender, would also order this again. Burnt ends 3/5 - Just meh. Could be just a personal preference though. Tri-tip 2/4 - It was dry and tough. I would skip this next time. The BBQ Combo Plate came with a half pound of each selected meat along with two sides, and we tried the smoky sliced brisket (which came with both lean and fatty slices) and the pulled pork, which had a milder flavor but acted as a good conduit for the sauces--my favorites were the Carolina Gold Mustard Sauce and the Hot Barbecue Sauce. For our sides, the Baked Beans were sickeningly sweet (to the point of being inedible), but the Chili Mac (mac & cheese topped with a spicy, tomatoey brisket chili) was a hit. We also got the Tri Tip Chopped Salad, which came with grilled and smoked tri tip (cooked to a juicy medium) served over greens topped with bacon, blue cheese crumbles, hard boiled egg, tomato, red onion, parsley, and ranch dressing, all served with a honey-glazed piece of cornbread on the side. Sauced used to be the SPOT! I haven't been in around a year but decided to come watch the warriors play today and enjoy some barbecue. I ordered a 3 meat combo and wasn't completely disappointed but noticed a decline in quality. The burnt ends felt rushed. Had a chewy dry texture. This is frustrating because it used to be the sole reason I'd stop by, rednexican nachos with burnt ends! The jalapeno cheddar sausage was ok but was missing that snap. However, The wings were stellar! Parking in downtown Livermore on a Friday night should be an Olympic sport. We love this as a go-to dinner place. We try to go on the weekdays because it does get pretty busy on the weekends. I have tried almost all the different types of bbq and so far my favorite are pork belly burnt ends, brisket, the jalapeno cheddar sausage, and the smoked wings. I want to start off by saying that I have been coming to Sauced for probably a decade now. The service has always been great, the wait time and order to table time have never been bad. The ambience always is great, good music, good crowds, always something to watch for those who just want to kick it and have a drink. The reason for the three star review is that I cant help but notice that the quality and portioning of food has diminished from prior experiences i had here in the past years. To make it worse, prices have only gone up due to inflation. We had the rednexican nachos, burnt ends, sliced brisket ends and fried oreos. The nachos and the fried oreos were great as usual, but the entrees, not so much. The temps were off and the taste was not there, it has not been for the past two visits for us. Not sure if it's the product itself or the preparation of it, but it's just not the same quality i was used to. Came here for the first time on a Monday after a work meeting. Was really excited to see what the fuss was all about. My party was seated immediately as the restaurant was not busy at all. The pulled pork was really good and the brisket melted in your mouth. There isnt much flavour in the brisket which is why the bbq sauce goes with it. The young woman who helped me was friendly and provided great service. However, when my fries arrived, there was little to no chili on them. I politely mentioned it to her, and she apologized and brought me a side of chili, which I appreciated. As I was getting ready to leave, a young man working behind the bar brought me a second bill after I had already paid. I explained that the additional chili was only provided because my original order was missing it. Instead of acknowledging what I said or having a conversation about it, he silently continued processing the charge, handed me the bill, and walked away. It wasn't about the small charge it was the lack of communication and customer service. Experiences like this are why I keep regretting giving this place another chance. I love Sauced. It's such a great staple of BBQ in the Bay Area. Honey is from Texas, and this is the closest place we've found to TX BBQ. A few people had their dogs with them on the patio. On this trip, we went off script and didn't order BBQ. We always get the brussel sprouts. They add pork belly to them, making them super savory with a mild touch of sweetness (chef's kiss). I love their bumpkins, so I had to get those too. Since the last time we were here, they updated their menu. They brought back the sweet potato casserole, which Honey loves. They also added the jambalaya, which was good as a side dish but not great. It was a large portion, so I see how they could offer it as a main. Honey said it was on the spicier side, but I didn't feel it. Honey had the fried chicken sandwich. She got all the toppings on the side and added some of their BBQ sauce to make it her own. She said the chicken was good, and the flavor combination she created made it even better. The Big Sexy. This is not for the weak. It was packed with flavors but so delicious. The mac & cheese with pepper jack gives you that gooey cheese sensation, the Nashville chicken was a perfect blend of spice and crunch, and the bacon added a little smoky taste. The slaw cut through some of the savory flavors with a hint of sweetness. OMG, it was good. As soon as it got to the table, I had the server give me a to-go box for half. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was craving BBQ. My girlfriend suggested we check out Sauced, and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty all the food was. The buffalo wings were the first bite I took, and these were really tasty! Great flavor, not heavy on the buffalo, and juicy wings. The cesar salad felt like a true steakhouse salad. Great flavors, plenty of cheese, really good. (makes me want to get the full salad with bbq next time). For the meats, we got the burnt ends, tri tip, and the jalapeno cheddar sausage. I was torn between the sausage and burnt ends as my favorite, but both were really tasty. The tri tip was room temp and on the drier side, so room for improvement there. For sides, we went with the mac salad and potato salad. Both were really done well. Although the mac and cheese was also room temperature, wish it came out hotter. All the food came out pretty quick, less than 10 minutes after we ordered. Since things are prepared ahead of time, I think coming around opening would be the way to get the meats as fresh as possible. The sausage was a tasty meat. Probably the star on the plate. The Tri tip tasted room temperature was a little odd. hmm.
